The team at JR Johnson saved my house! Not only did they completely dry out the unfortunate flood that damaged 1⁄3 of my home, they repaired it to beyond it’s former glory. And all while being professional, kind and fun. Matt had wonderful ideas for the remodel that I gladly took and Clint dealt with the insurance company directly to thankfully limit my involvement on that end. Jason, Alika and everyone else on the team, a giant THANK YOU to all of you as well. If you need a remodel, water mitigation, anything… JR Johnson is your answer. They really are the best. We are in the middle of a water damage remediation/​repair project at our home, with JR Johnson as the contractor. To date, we are exceptionally pleased with their service. This company knows what it’s doing! About three weeks ago when the damage was discovered, my husband and I were in shock, and didn’t know where to turn. I contacted three other «experts» to find out what to do, but no one seemed to be able to help. As soon as I called JR Johnson, they impressed me with their leadership and knowledge. Chris met with us and the next day he had a team at our house. They knew where to start, what to do. They explained everything as they went along. Nila and her team, especially Chad, are wonderful to work with. They are professional, cheerful, and, wow, do they work hard.
The insurance claim process has just begun, and it looks like JR Johnson will be a big help there as well. We certainly look forward to the end of this project going as smoothly and professionally as the first phase has. Leslie & Robert, Portland Oregon

As an apartment manager multiple buildings I’ve worked with J.R. Johnson on over 20 losses including severe water damage, mold and a large fire that resulted in a rebuild of an entire building. Through these losses they have provided impeccable service to my residents and invaluable industry knowledge that ensured fair payouts from multiple insurance carriers. Over the years JRJ has also provided myself and my residents with education and training that has assisted us in putting processes in place to prevent/​reduce future losses.
J.R. Johnson has also been my go to company for many construction jobs, both large and small. Of the contractors I’ve worked with their communication in scheduling, issues that have arisen and interactions with my residents have really stood out. I’m thankful for their dedication to provide quality work and follow up after each loss to ensure satisfaction.

Our house needed to get the decks fixed and the complete housefront redone due to water/​weather issues because the house was poorly build 11 years ago.
JR Johnson did a great, fast and clean job on this.
The work task they completed included:
— Lifting two decks by 6 inches and more
— redid the complete base structure of the decks
— removed damaged house front, garage beams, etc. and replaced all rotten parts with new and/​or better materials
— installed a water drainage to keep water away from the house
— painted the house front so now it looks like new again
I can highly recommend working with JR Johnson. I had other contractors work on the house before and always had issues during and after the work.

UPDATE Sept. 29, 2014 — I have had no response since my email to Jason at JR Johnson one week ago with regard to the scratches and scrapes on my GE Profile refrigerator after they returned it. I look at their website and see their «Commitment to Integrity.» But I would consider a lack of response and fixing the situation a lack of integrity. Again, JR Johnson lacks my satisfaction. My earlier reviews stand firm. Not so much.

These guys are used to billing their work through insurance, thus their over-​billing for people who are physically present at your home, but not actually doing anything. They did fantastic work on my house, but I challenged them on the number of hours they billed me and they appeased me with a random 10% discount.

Had this company consult on some mold growing on the backside of our roof sheeting, a lot of mold. They were contracted to replace the roof and remediate, ended up short cutting and billing us way more than hours worked. They billed us for guys sitting in a van for 3 hours. Ended up not replacing all of the roof but «sanding» it off, still looks terrible. When I brought up questions regarding workmanship their billing lady flew off the handle, I paid I full but I shouldn’t have.
Terrible, stay away.
