My fiancé can’t get enough of their short rib burritos, me personally I wish they had salads :(I asked once, he mentioned something about replacing the rice in a bowl with a few leaves of lettuce… doesn’t sound filling enough to me, but I’m willing to try it next time. I always get the chicken rice bowl with guacamole and sourcream. This chicken though– OMG I could just eat a whole bird of it! So perfect in every way! The staff are friendly, and the waiting music is pretty good. Service is fast, unless they are in a rush in which case they are basically out of everything. I love to get a side of chips and salsa, those fresh hot chips… Mmmmmm so good! The menu is basic — pick your protein, pick the way you like it, add extras if you need. Simple, but you can get a variety of stuff. My favorite part, is that it costs the same as any fast food meal, but tastes 100x better and is much better for you! And those burritos are enough food for 2 meals, unless you’re my fiancé ;)

I love their rice bowl with marinated pork so much that I can eat it every day!!! I also love their reuben sandwiches and sliders as well. On the side note, their food(or any restaurant food) is a little salty. Especially, I find the rice of the rice bowl to be a little too salty. So, you may want to ask for the sauce on the side as opposed to have it poured onto your food ahead of time so that you can adjust the spiciness or saltiness as you eat their delicious meal. Cannot wait to go back for more rice bowl!!!

Kimchi quesadilla is so so delicious and mouth-watering good. The rice bowl is tasty, loved the tofu and the pickled veggies in it.

Koi Fusion has the most wonderful location within the new Bethany food pod. Across from Starbucks and kitty corner to a public fountain, you couldn’t have planned a better spot. It’s a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon and Koi Fusion is almost standing room only. What could possibly bring in so many people to Koi Fusion? For starters, in the Portland area Koi Fusion is synonymous with food trucks. The interior of this Bethany location has a large picture of a food truck on the wall. The staff wears T-shirts saying«powered by Kim Chi.» Koi Fusion with it’s ambition and creativity, has truly endeared itself with Portlanders. The menu is a fascinating fusion of Mexican and Korean cooking. Mexican cuisine seems to fuse well with other types of cooking. However, not all of the menu items are Mexican inspired. Koi Fusion also offers a Rice Bowl, a «K-dog, «a Reuben, and a Cheese steak. They also have a «choose your protein» offer that allows diners to add either tofu, chicken, pork, short rib, or steak to their meal. Since beef prices are high right now adding either short rib or steak will push your cost up higher. On my visit I sampled the Reuben Sandwich. Added pork to my Reuben and it set me back only $ 8.50. Koi Fusion used Kim Chi for the traditional sauerkraut. Couldn’t imagine doing that but like everything Koi Fusion does it worked perfectly. The combination of corned beef, Kim Chi, cheese, bread, and Russian style dressing made for a fantastic flavor profile. Koi Fusion didn’t make the best Reuben sandwich I ever had but they definitely made the most flavorful and the most creative. That’s the beauty of Koi Fusion. Great ambition, fun, and creativity. No wonder Portlanders were lined up behind the Koi Fusion counter on a rainy day.

I was excited to try their Korean Philly cheese sandwich to go. for 8 dollars and 50 cents, this was a total waste of money First of all, it was just a gooey mess that you cannot even grab like a sandwich. I had to cut with fork and knife and had to check if there was any meat in it because there was so little. Pease don’t use the word Korean since there is nothing Korean in it. I am afraid that people who tried this will never try any Korean food. It was just a sweet and salty mess. I don’t see this place last long and I will never try this place again. I will go to the Zeek’s next door. For Philly cheese, I will stick to my usual visit to Shut up and eat, they will give you maybe four times the amount of food for about a couple of dollars more. Horrible.

We went here for dinner last night and the food was horrible. We got a chicken quesidilla and it was prepared timely and was hot. When we got outside and opened up the box and took a few bites, we couldn’t tell what kind of meat they used. We asked folks beside us because we don’t eat pork and they thought it was chicken but it was very dry and looked like tofu. So, my wife took the food back and ask the folks working and they said it was chicken but it was just very dry and it’s been cooked too long because it was a slow night. No apology or ask to prepare another one for you… nada! As if they have such a great product you can’t get else where and no value to customer. Too bad they lost a customer and have no plans to go back. They have great stuff on menu but not worth the poor service and horrible food!!!

I’m from Hawaii and I love Korean food and I love cheesesteaks. I really wanted to like Koi Fusion, but alas their Korean Cheesesteak was just meh… the beef bulgogi was too sweet. I won’t be back.

Very unique and interesting flavors. Never had anything like this before. And I love it. I love the combination of Korean food and Mexican food. It is very good and different in a good way. Love it!

I’ve always loved koi fusion, I usually go once a week. But last night my husband and I both got really bad food poisoning after eating there. It was the only thing we ate so there’s no question that it was due to their food. He had the cheesesteak with bulgogi and short rib and I had sliders with bulgogi and short rib so we’re assuming it’s from one of those meats. While I was there I also noticed that the fridge was open the whole time so I’m not sure if that effected some of the freshness of ingredients. He threw up 8 times and I threw up 6. I’ve always loved their food so I’m really disappointed that I won’t be able to eat there anymore. I just wanted other customers to be aware of our experience.

I’ve been to Koi 4 times now. Left happy 4 times now. Nothing really bad to say about this place really. I mean the food is a little on the high side. But it’s worth it. My recommendation? Steak cheese steak on medium. You won’t regret it.

A new fave for quick delicious food to-go. My husband liked the short-rib burrito and I am so hooked on the short-rib rice bowl that I haven’t tried anything else because I can’t resist ordering it every time. Kids like the quesadillas too. Glad to have them at Bethany Village!

Suprisingly good. I got two sliders: one chicken and one pork. I’d recommend the chicken, not so much the pork. The wasabi mayo was actually very flavorful, and not spicy at all. My best friend got a burrito, extra spicy, and said the cucumber made it fantastic. It weighed about 21 oz! We used to call this«that scary place» since it’s such a strange concept, but I’ll certainly be going there more often now that I’ve tried it.

Best cheap eats concept I’ve seen in PDX. Rejoice, O lovers of succulent meats. Sing, O muses of kimchi and cilantro. These guys understand that every ingredient matters. I feel bad for the other restaurants in Bethany; they just lost a customer, and it’s not their fault.

Being from Cali there is an asian fusion restaurant on every block. Coming here I was concerned that there wasn’t going to be a selection like Cali. The one I’d go too was in riverside ca and the restaurant is called the red hot kitchen. That was a mom n pop restaurant. I’m so happy that they opened up locally so I can have my fix of asian fusion. I’ll take Kimchi on everything thank you.

Look. The food is consistently good. The service is friendly and lacking the pretentiousness prevalent in the area. If you like a lot of delicious flavor, go in. Get some. If you prefer bland, mediocre, tasteless food, avoid this place. Pretty simple, really! I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am to have them out here! I don’t have to drive to Portland or Bridgeport to get a fix anymore!!! WIN!

Let me start by saying I’ve had a great experience at the PDX Koi Fusion, and I love their food. The Bethany location however, needs some work. This place is extremely hard to find! There is literally no signage on the exterior of the building that you can see from across the lot or the road to lead you in this place. They also list 4720 Nw Bethany blvd as their address on their website, but neglect to add the suite number(which is E-1 btw). When you google it, Petco Unleashed comes up. No wonder the place was dead at 12:15pm when I got lunch.(And every other business was slammed) Also– there is nowhere to sit in the restaurant. Literally no tables or chairs. I understand they are a «food truck» company, but if your going to put your concept in a brick and mortar store, I would expect at least a table or two. What’s going to happen when it’s raining?! Bethany isn’t downtown Portland, people don’t walk everywhere. Both of these flaws really turned me off at this location. With that, I did enjoy the food. One thing about Koi Fusion is that their food is consistent, no matter what location you go to. I highly recommend the short rib tacos :)

Went here for dinner tonight. They didn’t have the K-dog listed on the menu but they made it for my husband anyway and he lurved it! Their food is just so good! I had 3 pork tacos with kimchi. I asked for spicy and my mouth was pleasantly tingling and my lips were warm. I love their tacos. They are so flavorful and delish. And I tend to go through 5 napkins as they are messy and good! If I was stuck on a desert island and all I had was their tacos I would be happy. So glad they are in Bethany now.
