I made an appointment to get my nails done for my wedding. I arrived right on time to be told they had accidentally double booked the lady who could do my nails. They just shrugged when I asked why I didn’t get a call. No offers were made to fit me in or help. I’ve never had such awful treatment. I hope everyone thinks twice about going here!

These ladies are great! Personable, knowledgable, and creative! My No. 1 place for nail art!

I didn’t get the name of the girl who did my pedicure, but she really took her time cleaning up my cuticles, which were a mess, and then she also was very attentive to the paint job, using a paint brush with nail polish remover to make it look neat. Overall, I thought the people were nice and it is small inside, it was nice inside.

Classy and affordable — a rare combo! Perfect location, great prices and really nice people. Try it — you’ll love it.

I wanted my nails done for the opening of my store. I don’t usually get my nails done, but wanted them to look sharp for the occasion. Helena did a fantastic job, and I could not be happier with the results. The two people who went with me were equally as pleased with their experience. All three of us will be repeat customers. This Salon rocks! I discovered it while walking around downtown after lunch, and have since returned multiple times to get my nails/​brows done, which says a lot because I don’t even live in Portland!
I was lucky enough to get Rhea as my technician the first time, and I have stuck with her ever since-​she gives the best mani/​pedi I have ever had (seriously!!!) and I was stoked to find out she has been an experienced esthetician for years and also does waxing-​my eyebrows have never looked better! I cannot recommend her services enough, especially for the price, which is reasonable-​much more so than you would expect in the Pearl.
The Salon is clean, well lit, and nicely decorated. Staff are all friendly and professional. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Nice job, Lace!

I have had two pretty bad shellac manicures here but decided to give it another chance today and I was immensely impressed. I have been getting shellac manicures for about 3 years now so I know what to expect. Breanna gave me the best manicure I’ve ever had and I am so pleased. If you are a perfectionist with your nails she will definitely make you happy! She will only work weekends now, so if you want to be amazed book your appt with her then.

Lace is conveniently located in the Pearl District and open on Sundays which worked perfectly into my schedule. Thea took great care of me after my long haul from Oz even though she was in great demand! The only thing that I can recommend to the owner is to update the music to a more spa like genre, not the elevator mix on offer. .it would really make it a 5 star experience!

This place is a complete gem. I moved to Portland from LA and had a really hard time finding a quality nail salon. I had tried the shops on 23^rd, 21^st, and in random spots, but nothing compares to Lace! The staff is incredibly polite, and goes out of their way to make you feel great. I’ve had my nails done by Van and Vivian, and they’ve both done incredible jobs. My gel/​shellac manicures look great, last far longer than expected and the massages are the icing on the cake. Despite being in the Peal, you’d expect outrageous prices, but they were incredibly reasonable for the great work they all do. I’ve found my go-​to nail salon in Portland, and it’s not just because of the great work, but because the staff remembers your name, and actually cares about their work. It’s awesome!

I have officially found my favorite nail place in Portland! Me and my roommate have had a few nail snafus in the past few months and we almost gave up on finding a new place. Thankfully we decided to give Lace Beauty a try. They are absolutely terrific.
When we first walked in I noticed an amazing ambiance and the friendly people. My nail technician Helena is an absolute nail genius. She did an incredible job with my nails and I can’t see myself going back to anyone by her. She was very careful with her work and it didn’t feel rushed at all. My nails look and feel absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to come back to this wonderful place again!

Best all around nail shop in Portland! I don’t live in Portland so I frequent another shop due to location but if I had my choice Lace Beauty would be my regular nail salon. What I really appreciate is the quality work. Most importantly they are CAREFUL when applying my nail polish. They get all sides and my nails look flawless. They are very accommodating and friendly. I have received pedicures as well and have had the same wonderful experience.

I called and made an appointment for a pedicure, the décor and place itself is nicely done. However I wouldn’t suggest going here if you like getting special designs done. The lay who started my pedicure didn’t know how to do the design I wanted, so a different lady came over to work on me and she unfortunately couldn’t get it right either, I’m normal cases I wouldn’t make a big deal of it but it was a simple triangle design… ugh

I came in to get a pedicure and manicure done for my wedding. I had about 4 shades that I wanted to try on for my pedicure since they were all light pinks and it is hard to tell what color they will look like once painted on a nail. When I brought the colors over, she said «Oh my god», as in, wow, that’s a lot of colors you want to try. During the pedicure, she was seated next to another manicurist who is giving my friend a pedicure. My aunts all speak Vietnamese so I can tell when they are gossiping and these two ladies were definitely gossiping (not about me and my friend though).
Afterwards, I told the lady that I needed to get my nails done for my wedding and that I wanted nail art for my hands. I showed her pics of what I wanted. We settled on a shade for gel and I definitely wanted a light pink that was opaque and not see through. The color on my nails ended up being way lighter than it was on the sample where they have all the colors painted on fake nails. I asked for as second layer and the lady said, «one layer is enough» which definitely was not. Even after the second layer, my nails were still see through. I had also asked her to cut my nails since I didn’t like them long. She only cut them on one of my hands. And then when I realized the nails were not cut on the other hand, she just filed them but they were still too long. I didn’t say anything else at this point since she seemed to be inconvenienced by the request the first time.
I wanted mainly glitter and then for one nail, have several jewels in a circle and then in the center, wanted a white circle .25 inch in diameter. She put on the jewels to create the circle and then I asked her about the white circle inside like we had discussed and like the picture that I showed her several times. She takes her brush, dips it in white and then dabs a dot in the center and says «there!». The dab was not even filled in, it just looked like a lazy brush stroke with little gaps/​holes. The glitter did not look like the pictures either. I think in the pics, they used real glitter versus at the salon, they used gel glitter polish.
Overall, I was very unhappy with the experience. The manicurist did not listen to me, felt annoyed when I tried telling her what I wanted, and forced me to like things that I didn’t like versus trying to make me happy. At one point, I almost got up and left and also considered getting all my nails redone at another salon. This was the shorter older lady with glasses sitting right by the entrance. I am definitely never coming back and was not impressed with their nail art skills.

A great spa! I go here every month for waxing and mani/​pedi shellac and it lasts forever!
The ladies are always so friendly and remember me and my needs. They also do fun, special designs! Ask for Ahn, she is fabulous!

I received the best manicure I’ve ever had from Rhea for a whopping $ 18. Unreal. She did an amazing job with my cuticles, followed with a hot lotion massage, and then polished my nails perfectly. An absolute gem in the Pearl district!

Lace Beauty is BY FAR my favorite place to get a shellac manicure! Not only is the staff extremely friendly and always remembers me, no matter how much time it’s been between appointments; their work is AMAZING!
Other places I’ve tried, I’ll leave with a manicure that looks like it’s already started growing out, but not here! Always close to the cuticle and my shellac always lasts for weeks.
And unlike other places I’ve gone, they have the most selection of colors I’ve ever seen. Instead having difficulty picking a color because I don’t like the ones I see; at Lace I have trouble narrowing it down to just one!
Not to mention you get all this at a great price!

I didn’t have an appointment, but they were able to accommodate me anyway.
This nail salon is conveniently located within the heart of the Pearl. Service was efficient; they got me in and out quickly.
The only surprise was the price for my pedi was a teeny bit higher than what I pay in Los Angeles.

What a find this unpretentious salon is and right in the middle of the Pearl! I was needing to waste some time because I had tickets to see some jazz at Jimmy Maks. The show was a few hours out. This salon is 4 blocks up the street. I headed in to get some sparkles on my nails. I also got some sparkly wine to go with!
Helen was my manicurist and she did an absolutely perfect job, basically nailed it. And, the price is very affordable!
