History

Established in 1960.

Lockard’s Collision Center is a Family Owned and Operated auto body shop that has been in business for over 50 years. We started as a small repair shop out of a garage in Gray, and we have continued to grow, with the help and support of our customers into our new state-​of-​the-​art 30,000 sq. foot facility on Riverside St. in Portland. We have grown though relationships with our customers, our community, non-​profit organizations and our relationships with our insurance partners to make us the Best Body Shop in Greater Portland for 12 years in a row as voted by our community in an independent marketing survey. With our move to our new facility, we focused on preserving our future through the use of more efficient paint booths, on-​demand high efficiency lighting, and we are one of only a few shops in Maine using Waterbourne Paint that not only is environmentally friendly but is the highest quality paint on the market providing the best possible color match.

Business Owner

Jim Davison is the owner of Lockard’s Collision Center and started with the company 49 years ago. He is now accompanied by his son James, daughter Lori and son-​in-​law Dan who work together to make sure the customers get the personal attention that cannot be experienced at a dealership or chain run shop. Jim and his family bring years of experience, business knowledge, customer service and an honest reputation to make sure the customer is comfortable with having their car repaired correctly, efficiently and at a fair price.
