Miller Paint

It was about 1PM on Saturday April 30^th when I came into this Miller Paint. Immediately my attention was drawn to a customer giving the young man who I would later know as Chris a hard time. He insisted to see the manager/​supervisor. That’s when Jeff (I believe his name was Jeff, he had a snappy vest on) went up to help him. Chris came over and helped me out. While I was being checked out, the angry customer, who’s name was Albert, continued to berate and belittle the employees. The entire time Chris and Jeff treated him with the utmost professional courtesy.
When I asked the guy to calm down and to please stop treating the Miller employees like they were less than human he postured up to me and called me a MotherF***r and a Douchebag and asked me «WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT.» Again Jeff and Chris kept their calm and were as professional above and beyond the requirements of both civility and their job. They managed to not only juggle this asshole but found time to make sure I had a satisfying experience as well.
I have a fair guess that this guy is going to contact the manager of this store, or leave a review or the like. It is my hope that this statement will counteract anything negative he has to say about the awesome people at Miller on Alberta.

The husband and I spent the summer painting our interior, with constant trips to and from Miller Paint.
I like that Miller Paint is employee owned, and it shows! Employees have been there forever and are incredibly knowledgeable. Outside of the one stoner dude that works there… there’s always one though isn’t there? The shining star of this location is Jeff. I might be getting his name wrong but you’ll know it’s him because he wears a festive vest over his uniform. He is the paint MASTER! Previous to meeting Jeff, I had no idea there were paint nerds. Jeff, is a paint nerd, and I say this in the more endearing way possible, he knows everything there is to know about paint and is ready to help you with all your painting decisions. I suggest bringing a picture to show him and let him work his magic. I really can’t express enough how helpful he was in our process. TALK TO JEFF (vest guy!)
Disclaimer — the weekends are a shit show. Don’t come in a hurry. You will wait, possibly a long time. There will be some entitled a-​hole that says «I just need a gallon of paint» as if everyone in there doesn’t just need some paint. COME ON! Have you never been in a line before?! I suggest trying to plan your trips during the week or in the evenings. That’s the best time to get the full attention from the staff and pick their brains about your project.
They sell metro paint — which is highly economical and made from recycled paint. There is only a few color options but if you need something simple and cheap this is a good option. We used all Miller Paint brand and are very happy with it, not that I know crap about paint just that it looks nice and we didn’t get dizzy while we painted.
Lastly — you can bring your (leashed) doggy!

Great products, great customer service, and good prices. We have purchased indoor and outdoor paint, deck stain, brushes and tools, and rented pressure washers. We have been happy every time. The folks that work here are nice, their advice has been spot on, and they have negotiated prices when it makes sense to do so. We will be Miller Paint customers as ling as we live in the area

I was just in there this past Monday. I love how genuinely helpful, kind, and polite they are. Also, all the workers had a great sense of humor. They set me up well.
I highly recommend them. Try them out next time over a big box store.:)

Very helpful staff. I have been to this location a dozen or so times, and the staff is a pleasure to work with.

We walked in this store my girlfriend and I both white and got great service. The next week my girl friend came in with our contractor which is Hispanic and they were treated like crap. They left and went to Home Depot. No attitude there. Won’t be back to Miller paint at this location.

Not sure if looking at a paint chip will give you what it would look like on your home? They have this cool computer that lets you put the colors you like on a drawing of a home so you can imagine it on a bigger scale. They also have great customer service!

This place will have everything you need for the perfect paint job. Of course they sell their highly regarded paint, but this store in particular has a high standard of customer service. You won’t be disappointed.

I love this store! I’ve never written any kind of online review for a business before, but I had such a good experience here I wanted to give them their propers. I’m starting a painting project and don’t know much at all about paint. Shopping paint online, I was completely overwhelmed by all the options. «What the hell do these words even mean?!?» I asked myself repeatedly as product descriptions extolled the virtues of various finishes and chemical compositions of interior paint. The thought of actually going into a paint store terrified me, conjuring up images of tobacco-​chewing straight guys in overalls pointing and laughing.
The friendly and knowledgeable staff at Miller Paints Alberta explained it all to me in layman’s terms without making me feel like a dumbass, and didn’t try to sell me the most expensive everything, even though I was totally at their mercy due to being clueless. I’ll be going here for all of my painting needs.

I was raised to only buy Miller paint.
In my 20’s, I played the field a bit– convinced that I could find something cheaper and better at a big box store.
Now a home owner, I have come to realize that Grandpa was right.
So, I was excited to see Miller Paint open their Alberta location.
I have had mixed experiences– most of their staff is incredibly knowledgeable– but there have been a couple of tweakers.
Still, wouldn’t go anywhere else for paint or paint supplies.
I recommend the Historic Color Collection.
