Natural Light Skylight

Long story short: Natural Light Skylight talked me through my problem when others did the bare minimum or tried to upsell me on work I didn’t need; they got the problem fixed before others even got a bid in, and at very reasonable cost. Fast, courteous, communicative — this is how working with a contractor SHOULD go.
Short story long: We had a hard rain a few weeks back, and my skylight chose that moment to fail. I called everyone I knew chasing down references, and wound up speaking to six different companies, as well as Mark at Natural Light Skylight.
In all the time I spent talking to folks, Mark was the only person to really listen to me, talk me through the issues, and talk me through my options. I left our conversation *understanding* my problem, while everyone else I spoke to gave me the bare minimum of information, or tried to use my lack of expertise to further their own ends.
Mark promptly arranged a very kind and thorough gentleman named Tim to come out and do the work, answer all my additional questions, and walk me through every concern I had. I was still getting bids days and weeks later, when these folks already had the work DONE — much appreciated in the rainy season!
I appreciate working with straightforward people who helps me know what I need to know to understand my problem and determine a solution. I got that with Natural Light Skylight.

Mark installed two skylights for us this afternoon. He was responsive to both my phone calls and emails. He was able to provide a quote and schedule the work to be completed within the same week. Mark and his crew arrived on time, had everything they needed to complete the job, and cleaned up after themselves. Mark was personable and answered all of our questions.

Mark came out today to check our skylights. Spent well over an hour, climbing up and down a ladder in this blazing heat, looked in and out of our garage, and gave us a load of information… none of which helped him. He concluded that the skylights weren’t the (major) cause of our problem, yet still stayed for well over 45 minutes to give helpful advice when there was nothing in it for him. Therefore, can’t comment on installation of skylights, but can give 5 stars for honesty. I am keeping his card close by, as he was quick to respond to my call, came out, and didn’t try to gouge me. Definitely someone I would recommend to others.

Mark not only sold me a high quality discontinued egress velux skylight in perfect condition for a great price but also coached me on placement, installation techniques, and city code. He responded to my texts and calls promptly even if my questions were relatively idiotic. I got the sense that he truly believes in the work he does, wants the best for his clients, and will do all he possibly can to meet their financial needs with very fair prices. I highly recommend going with him on all skylight purchases and services.

Mark absolutely knows skylights, does great work, and is completely reliable. He is definitely one of the best people we have worked with over many years of house remodeling and upkeep. A great job done correctly on time with no fuss or mess. And he’s great to work with. It doesn’t get better than that.

I haven’t ever had a problem with Mark or anyone he left in charge. He is super responsive when I’ve reached out for help. Anytime I have had a concern, he addressed it right away.

The owner is on vacation and the person who is filling in wants $ 75 just to give a bid. UNHEARD OF! People who want to work will give a free estimate.
