Nikki Wilson Artistry

As soon as I spoke with Nikki during my wedding planning she put my mind at ease. My husband and I planned a destination wedding in wine country for August 2015, and Nikki was recommended by a friend of a friend during this time. Initially, I was nervous about finding someone I could trust to do my hair and makeup without having the opportunity to meet them in person first. But Nikki was PHENOMENAL. When we spoke in April, Nikki confirmed my dates and helped me plan the details regarding how and where my trial and wedding day prep would take place. When my wedding rolled around, we first completed my trial in San Francisco prior to leaving for wine country and Nikki was prompt in getting to me and extremely prepared. When I gave feedback on my style, Nikki was attentive and was able to tweak things to exactly my preference. She was both professional and amazingly friendly. She felt a lot like someone I’d known much longer than several days, which put me at ease.
On my actual wedding day, Nikki was again very prompt in arrival. She made my bridesmaids look and feel amazing, and spent a long time pampering me as I (VERY nervously) prepped for my walk down the aisle! All in all I couldn’t have felt any more beautiful than I did after Nikki was done with me. I loved my hair and makeup and both lasted well into a hot night of dancing and revelry with friends and family.
Nikki uses high quality products and seems to be very ‘in the know’ about current trends. She made excellent style recommendations to me but always made an effort to maintain my individual style.
If you’re lucky enough to work with Nikki, you won’t be disappointed!!!

What can I say!!! Nikki was incredible!!! Planning a wedding is stressful… but this part shouldn’t be, and it wasn’t! It was fun and relaxing and she knew just exactly what I was going for for my fall «spooky romance» theme. The minute I met her, we instantly hit it off and had a great time together. I had been searching for a makeup artist for four months and I kept striking out one after anther. My bridesmaid then referred me to Nikki Wilson and I am so thankful she did. Nikki is a godsend!!! She knew exactly what I wanted and worked amazingly with my skin type. She gave great suggestions but didn’t sway you away from the look you were going for. The day of my wedding she drove out to Redwood City with her assistant Nadia Love (who is also AMAZING) and I swear I have never felt so relaxed and calm with someone doing my makeup other then myself. It was such a fun and entertaining environment which was great because it help me keep control of all my nervous butterflies in my stomach. I would recommend this woman to anyone! She is the greatest makeup artist I’ve ever met and she will make anyone look phenomenal!

Nikki is so sweet and truly fantastic. She did my makeup for my engagement pictures, which came out so natural and beautiful that I hired her for my wedding as well. Nikki makes you feel so comfortable and really knows how to enhance your natural beauty and bring out your style. Her prices are very reasonable, she does a great job, and you have fun while working with her! She’s the whole package!

Planning a ‘destination’ wedding across the county is not easy. Picking vendors without being able to meet them first can be very, very scary.
That being said, we could not be happier with the service, the makeup and the time we spent with Nikki. She was beyond amazing in every way. She was punctual, personable and amazing at taking what we wanted and making it work for the outside space we were spending our ‘big day’ in.
I got so many incredible compliments on the work that Nikki did and I literally can’t imagine having any one else there with me doing my hair or makeup. She’s one in a million and I would recommend her to anyone!
I have to add, Nikki was incredible with the way she communicated with us. She never let an email go more than 12 hours before following up and I never felt like I wasn’t her #1 priority!

Nikki is amazing!!! She accomodated our crazy schedule and did my trial the day before our city hall wedding. She made me feel so comfortable and she was great to chat with which made the experience pretty fun. She really listened to what I wanted and made me look amazing when my skin was acting up from stress. Everyone raved about my makeup!!! My skin looked flawless. And, it lasted all night through many drinks and dancing and even some light sprinkling outside!!! Plus, she is so reasonable and she comes to you! If you’re debating, look no further!!! You will not be sorry, trust me!

Nikki just finished doing my makeup and hair for a wedding i am attending and she was the best! She came to my home because i had my kids with me and just couldnt get to the salon. She was very sweet and made me feel comfortable. She even put lipstick on my daughter when she wouldnt stop bugging lol. My daughter being around wasnt even an issue. I asked for the simple radiant look and i trusted her recommendation… and i am so happy. I even had some eczema on my legs that she covered up for me. I was just amazed with her work. I will definitely use her in the future… whats a plus was her rate was inexpensive! Dont even hesitate to contact nikki if you are looking for a hair and makeup artist!!! I am glad to have found you nikki!!!

Wow! Where do I begin? I contacted Nikki about 2 weeks prior to my elopement date. Somehow the stars aligned and she was still available for my date! We chatted via email and text over the next two weeks — never waiting more than a few hours for a response FABULOUS customer service! She requested payment through venmo which was no problem and we were all set! She arrived about 5 minutes prior to our scheduled time and got setup right away and went to «work.» Nikki doesn’t work, Nikki is an artist. She makes every single girl in the room feel like she is the most stunning model you’ve ever seen. She uses makeup to create the most natural looks as possible — something that was very important to me. Nikki used her products and we could not have been happier. I was a princess on 2.7.14 and couldn’t have felt that way without Nikki. She is cool, calm, collected, funny, and immensely talented. I am SO thankful she was able to join us for our magical day.
If you want a hip chick that truly listens to your vision, Nikki is your girl!

Nikki is amazing!!! She always makes me look and feel so beautiful. A truly talented, down to earth, sweet, and gorgeous person from the inside out. I’ve used her for several events and weddings and have always been beyond satisfied with her work. If you’re thinking about booking her, do yourself a favor and don’t think twice– best of the best!

I cannot express how lucky I was to have found Nikki for my big day! She is excellent at corresponding and getting back to you in a timely manner, but that is only second to her OUTSTANDING artistry. I’m big into my makeup so I was nervous about having someone else do it, but definitely wanted to be pampered on my big day.
I met Nikki at our trial a few months before the wedding and I felt like we were instant friends. She is extremely friendly, outgoing, and it feels like you are hanging out with your bestie, which is exactly what I wanted. Her makeup collection (which I am certain I saw only a fraction) is a plenty! She really knows what she is doing and I was EXTREMELY happy with my results. Anyway…she not only did my make up but my mom, matron of honor, maid of honor, and two sister in laws make up and we were on schedule. Super talented and super efficient! Her prices are EXTREMELY fair as well. The best that I was able to find.
I wish I could give her 20,000 stars, but I guess 5 will have to do. Thanks Nikki! Can’t wait until you are back in the bay and I can come get my makeup done!

Nikki is one of the most personable women in the cosmetics industry I’ve experienced yet, not to mention talented! She listened to exactly what I wanted and the outcome was better than I expected. She has such a great personality — even chatting with her while she was applying my makeup was fun and I honestly felt a great connection with her. I would recommend Nikki and her work to anyone looking for high quality results; makeup for a fancy event or even just a natural look is an easy task for her to excel in!

I found Nikki because I was searching for a hair & makeup artist for my wedding. All the estimates in my research were SHOCKINGLY expensive and did not even include a trial; you had to pay for that separately. Everyone’s reviews of these people were the same: fantastic person who did a wonderful job. But the problem was the prices. I was getting really disappointed because I’m a teacher & don’t make enough money to justify what seems to be the going rate (low end $ 600), but I really am adamant that a professional do my hair and makeup for the big day.
When I contacted Nikki I was expecting the same thing. She got back to me right away, and her prices were so good, I thought it was too good to be true. She was almost HALF the cost of the others AND she includes a hair trial as a part of her price. I was immediately interested and we set up an appointment to meet.
I made an appointment at the NARS counter in Saks Fifth Avenue on Union Square, as Nikki was going to be working there one weekend. I have never set foot in a Saks in my life and was immediately intimidated the second I stepped in. It was clear that I was not a legitimate customer, but I wandered around anyway looking for the NARS counter. The sales/​makeup ladies did not speak to me at all or ask what I was looking for, except for one. She noticed me, said hello, and was very sweet. I kept walking, looking for Nikki, and low and behold, that same sweet sales lady that I passed WAS Nikki! I didn’t see the NARS counter when I passed by her the first time. At any rate, that instantly set her apart from everyone else and spoke volumes about her personality.
Nikki is clearly an industry pro. Her resume is impressive. She was so knowledgable and explained everything she was doing as well as answered every question I had.
She also LISTENED to me. I do not wear makeup at all and, although I definitely want someone to help day-​of-​wedding, my biggest fear is that I will look «made up.» She responded so well to my concerns and at the end of my appt I left as a fresh, polished version of my normal self. It was exactly what I wanted! A clean, uncomplicated, natural look! She chose exactly the right colors for my skin tone and knew exactly what to emphasize. My fiancée LOVED it. I even bought the NARS tinted moisturizer she used because I liked it so much.
On top of her unbelievable pricing and incredible finished product, Nikki is such a genuine and kind person. I felt immediately at ease with her and you could tell she does what she does because she absolutely loves it. She is so sweet and fun and has a way of making you feel completely comfortable instantly.
I am SOLD. Nikki is a gem and you should absolutely contact her if you’re looking for someone to do hair/​makeup for any event you have. I cannot wait to see what she does on my wedding day. I’ll update when the time comes!

Nikki is amazing! You can tell her to do any look and it will come out exactly how you want it. She is also very considerate of how you feel about any new colors that you many not feel comfortable wearing. I trust her completely and have been introduced to so many new looks and colors that look fabulous for any occasion. She has done my makeup for calendar shoots, game day looks, and appearances. My favorite look is the smokey eye. She picks all the right colors that compliment your skin tone, rather than just keeping all the colors the same for everyone. Love her and her artistry! I recommend her for weddings, parties, nights out, anything!

I love Nikki! Probably one of the most sweetest, welcoming makeup artists I’ve ever worked with. She knows how to make you feel and look beautiful quick fast and painless! When leaving an appointment with her, you leave with amazing makeup obviously, and the knowledge of how it was applied so you might even feel brave enough to venture out and try to do it yourself one day! But if it were up to me, I’d just rather her do it! Lol She can do a bunch of different styles: simple, dramatic and creative. And she’s always prompt and professional. She definitely knows what she’s doing

First off let me just start how amazing Nikki is and she is the sweetest girl I’ve met. I had her do my makeup for my wedding and I loved how it came out. She kept it real with what colors would be great for my day. She also calmed me down on my big day :) She has great talent and wish her the best in everything.

I love Nikki, I met her when I made an appointment with Mac and that is when she glowed my soul with her brushes! I asked for a dark brown, bronze smokey eye shadow and I loveeeeed it, with her special touch of course. She was very honest and sincere with make up tips and suggestions for the best colors that would complement my face. She deserves every star!

Nikki is a great make-​up artist. I hired her to do my make-​up for a pin-​up portrait session I had, and she made me look like a bombshell!
