Pace Setter Athletic specializes in walking and running shoes for everyone. You do not need to be an elite athlete to get the best service possible. You only need to come to Pace Setter in the historic Woodstock district of southeast Portland and allow us to serve you.

We have studied the shoes, the functions they were designed for and how they perform for those functions. We will ask about your intended use of the shoes and any pain issues you may be dealing with. This information, along with our own personal experience with the sports, will enable us to provide you with the best possible service in finding the right new shoe for you.

We also specialize in addressing your individual pain and movement issues by showing you how to relieve plantar faciitis, increase circulation, stretch properly and help you feel better all over.

Please bring your old shoes with you for a wear analysis. It will aid us in finding a good fit for new shoes.

History

Established in 1981.

Pace Setter Athletic is the original walking and running specialty store in Oregon. Founded in 1981, Pace Setter is the technical running store that other northwest running stores are modeled after. We carry neutral, motion control and pronation control models from Adidas, Asics, Brooks, New Balance, Nike, Mizuno and Saucony including race walking, track and field and cross country styles. We also have technical fiber clothing and a great assortment of accessories to implement your activities.

On December 15,2009 we moved to our new location across the street at 4203 SE Woodstock Blvd. We are now on the corner of 42^nd and Woodstock, just 1 block from our previous site. Come see our new bright and roomy store soon and bring your shoes with you for a wear analysis.
