Description

Specialties

I specialize in helping Boomers and Seniors who are intimidated or frustrated by their computers and related technology. I help them to be happier, safer and more comfortable in this technological age.

I make sure their computers are working perfectly, with the hardware and software they need. This includes installation, maintenance, upgrades, repair and replacement.

I give them the information and techniques they need to use their computers more easily and effectively.

While my posted hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 – 6, I am available for evening appointments, too.

History

Established in 2003.

I’m a JOAT («John Of All Trades»). I’ve been an apartment maintenance man, deep-sea diver, painting contractor, handyman, home remodeler, and of course, a computer guy. I’ve always enjoyed fixing things, of all kinds, since I was a child. I do all my own car maintenance, and my 1991 Saab has 210k miles on it, and is still going strong.

I started my professional computer career in 1980, in Dallas, TX. I’ve worked for Tandy Corporation, Digital Research, Zenith and Intel, along with other places you’ve probably never heard of. My corporate computer career lasted 15 years and spanned 4 states. My work has included software engineering and program management. I’m experienced with a wide variety of hardware, software and networking systems.

Since 1995 I’ve been my own boss, helping people with their computers and networks, teaching them to use them more easily and effectively and designing websites.
