I love Petite Provence but I can’t figure out where you’re located at the Portland airport. Are you inside security or outside for those of us on layovers between flights. It would be AWESOME if you’re inside security. Would it be possible for you to post how to find you location? Thanks.

The palmiers are to freaking die for. So flaky and delicously sweet. Apple turnover and Walnut caramel roll were pretty amazing too. Definitely grab one before you board.

It’s April 5 and Easter was 9 days ago, so the fact that they still have Easter cheesecake for sale is troubling and makes me wonder about the freshness of their food in general. I had a croissant, which was bready. I would not go back.

I was surprised by how bad the hot(microwaved???) food was and the mediocre service. Alberta location is much better on both fronts. Extra star awarded for not being a complete disaster. I bet pastries were fine, but I won’t be back to find out. Skip this spot. Much better PDX options abound.

ATMOSPHERE: It’s located inside the airport between the division of terminals. They have sandwiches(pre-made and made to order), salads, and pastries. They have a few places to sit that are dedicated to them. SERVICE: The employee at the register was nice. She informed me that there was a bit of a back up before I ordered my sandwich, which I appreciated. Fortunately, I wasn’t departing — just arriving. So, I was able to wait. The employee that handed me my food was, also, nice. She was so patient when it took me a while to get over to her to pick up my food, because I was held up with my child, our luggage, a diaper bag, and a car seat. FOOD: The grilled cheese was fantastic! It was made on sourdough bread, and it tasted really good. The fruit was good minus the honeydew. I don’t think it was fully ripe, and it was hard. It made it difficult to give my son, who only has eight teeth. The price was a lot better than I thought it would be, too, for airport prices. OVERALL: I’ve been to one of their locations before, so I wasn’t hesitant to try this one as I enjoyed the one I had been to. I understand this place serves quicker food, as it’s at the airport, but I still enjoyed it!

The service people were busy talking about how they didn’t have friends, didn’t need friends, etc. instead of asking me what I needed. I was excited to read the sandwich names and then I was disappointed that they weren’t very French-like. I got something with huge slabs of ham and a skinny slice of gruyère/swiss and entire cornichons… shouldn’t someone slice those thinly or serve them on the side? I was so disappointed when I ate here when I discovered there were better looking restaurants inside the terminal.

Bacon uncooked, unfriendly service, burnt coffee, worst croissant ever, dense over cooked frittata… all for a premium price! I will stick to their Alberta location, avoid the airport one.

Been three times now, baked goods with coffee twice and a hot meal once. Not even close to the quality found at off airport locations. Soggy microwaved croissant, scalding weak coffee, generally very disappointing.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way out of town, big mistake. We love their Alberta St. location, have had dinner there several times. The breakfast at the airport was the worst. My wife had the Harvest Frittata so dry and over cooked she couldn’t eat it, I had something(can’t remember the name) that was open face with artichoke hearts on it, so salty I couldn’t eat it. Be sure and skip this place.

A Haiku for Petite Provence: What should you order? Frittata with the Cheese Sauce Chocolate Croissant –Service was okay, lots of little gifts and sweets to buy for your plane ride. Will be back for the chocolate croissants!

I am ‘awarding’ only a single star because every other experience I have had at any other Petite Provence was beyond superlative. This small chain is an absolute jewel so the utterly execrable meal I just had at the airport version is beyond disappointing. I ordered a frittata which is one of my favorites at the other locations. What I got was a literal hockey puck that had clearly been microwaved to inedibilty that could best described as tasting like outdated astronaut food. If you can’t manifest the same quality or even close to it I would suggest you stop trying and let someone who can manage good fast food take your place.

If you are at PDX looking for a quick bite to eat, skip this place. Like a pretty pretty girl with no personality, this joint pulled me in by its good looks, but left me feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. I had the Monte Carlo, their grilled turkey and bacon sandwich, with the potato salad for my side. All the food here are comparably higher in price than the others in the airport, but the food simply doesn’t justify the premium price. It’s just not better. The baked goods look tasty, although I didn’t try them. The décor is cute and french café like. I came here wanting to like it, but unfortunately this place doesn’t live up to what I expected.

Great that Petite Provence opened an airport location, much needed variety to PDX. The food is good, but doesn’t match up to their city locations. But nevertheless a good place to pick up a quick snack before clearing security at PDX.

Slimy lettuce and tomatoes, dry bread and overall not a good sandwich. Too bad Elephants wasn’t open at 4:30 am to pick up lunch for the plane.

What an unexpected delight. One more reason the Portland airport is a delight. Buttery delicious true French pastries, buttery and flakey and fairly priced. The cappicino was perfect.

Keep walking! This could be the worst coffee in PORTLAND I’ve ever had. I can’t believe illy would even let them make their coffee. This is gas station stuff. Do not go to this location.

Glad to see they opened up a Petite Provence in the airport but too bad it’s nothing like the other Petite Provence’s that I’ve been to. There’s a limited selection of deserts so I ended up ordering two macaroons and an americano. Macaroons were horribly dry and cracked when I bit into it. I’m guessing they’re not very fresh and have been sitting around for a while because a good, fresh macaroon should never crack and fall apart the way these two did. Coffee was good though.

One of my favorite Portland breakfast spots is now in the airport? Why would anyone eat a Starbucks breakfast sandwich again?

Nice place to relax. Improved seating arrangement over last owner. Excellent collection of croissant. Try ham and cheese or mini chocolate. I visit airport for drop off and pickup twice every week and planning to stop by often.
