Looking for a custom suit made of the finest fabrics sourced directly from their mills at the best possible price? Look no further. A few years ago I sought out just about every online review of made-​to-​measure suit producers and came to the conclusion that Proper Suit was the best of the bunch. I had my first fitting with Lance, the Portland-​based fit specialist, in Las Vegas of all places. The initial suit delivered: the best fitting suit I’d ever owned, largely in-​part because it was the first custom suit I had ever owned but also because the Proper Suit model of an in-​person fitting simply works. When it came time to have a suit made for my wedding, my brothers and I travelled to Portland for a couple nights of debauchery and good eating, but also to pay a visit to Lance and have my template updated and have suits fit for my brothers. Lance’s keen eye for fit resulted in some minor tweaks to my suit template and an even sharper fit. I had an additional suit made over this past summer and was able to correspond with Lance over email to order the custom suit. The suit arrived a few weeks later with a perfect fit. All three of my suits produce comments on their fit and cut each time I find an excuse to wear them. I would never buy a suit any other way.
