Redefyne Moving

Best moving experience we’ve had in years. These guys were very professional and really hustled. They came recommended from a friend and I would absolutely hire them again.

This is a stellar company. I have used them three times and would recommend them to clients and friends in a heartbeat. Flawless and professional — done with a smile.

I recently hired Redefyne Moving for a fairly small moving job. I figured it would only take a few hours. They sent 2 guys (Adam and Andy) and they did an amazing job. They came in, looked around and immediately got to work and had loaded and unloaded everything in 2 hours flat. I would definitely not hesitate to hire them again! Thanks Adam and Andy for such a great experience.

I am writing this review much later than intended, my move was successfully completed on Friday, July 24^th, 2015.
After dealing with another moving company that couldn’t return my call in a timely manner I called Redefyne Moving. In fact, I called at 5:10PM, after their listed closing hours. I talked to someone named Sarah who was able to schedule my move on that same phone call, on the day I requested, it was too easy.
The total cost came to less than was quoted, and couldn’t be more happy with the customer service I received.
I did remove one star because one of the two movers was loud and obnoxious, but then again they were most likely just keeping motivated.

I hired Redefyne, in 2014, for both packing and moving.
Post move, I realized that my Bose bookshelf sized speakers were missing.
I looked everywhere.
I wanted to be absolutely certain that the speakers were missing before saying that were stolen by movers.
I am now certain that they were taken, or stolen, in the process of moving. The only other item that «disappeared» was a metal storage box that would have been a perfect place to put them.
I waited too long. I should have made a claim within 90 days. I have no experience with moving companies. I understand that part is not their «problem».
But I called Redefyne today to let them know that the speakers were stolen. The response I got was completely disinterested, and then sarcastic about the time that has passed since the move.
It was my first time hiring packers, and I won’t be hiring this company again.

Never again! I called around and get quotes for our out-​of-​town move. I went with these guys because they were the lowest bid and had good reviews here. The DAY BEFORE THE MOVE they called to say that the person I spoke with was new and she had under quoted and that someone should have come over before a quote. The owner came over and said that the jobs would be almost double!!! He went on to say that everything would fit in the truck. Well it did NOT all fit!!! They showed up on time and quickly filled the truck. When we got to our new house, they quickly unload everything into the garage and left. They damaged several items beyond repair! They will pay you 6 cents per pound on you damaged item. WHAT A JOKE!!!

After a previous good experience, I just recently had a horrible one after they stored my furniture for several months and moved my things into my new home. A new desk was broken beyond repair and almost every piece of furniture including tables, chairs, armoire, and bedside tables were chipped and scratched. I was offered money for a touch up pen for my damage. I also had all my garden/​outdoor tools never returned. The nice shovels, rakes, lawn edgers were reimbursed for the cheapest options they could find. This move unfortunately cost me a lot of money and I will never use them again.

Had a great experience moving with these guys! The movers were really nice, friendly and operative. Finished everything in 3 hours and didn’t have any problems at all.

Great customer service from beginning to end. They were prompt and courteous in returning my call to get a quote and were easy to work with to set up the move. They even moved up the date of service (earlier) at the last minute without skipping a beat. The movers on the day-​of were great guys, very friendly and professional. They handled unexpected issues (like a couch that wouldn’t fit through the door) with professional care. Would definitely use again!

Avoid Redefyne Moving if you have a big job and a deadline.
Wow. Where to begin?! This company made many judgement errors and did very little to make up for it on their end. We ended up being charged several hundred dollars more than we expected because of it.
I could go on, but I will summarize our experience with a list:
1. Friendly, but unprofessional movers-​complained about work load, ownership and fellow employees
2. Arrived with two men instead of three (should have been four-​we have a lot of stuff)
3. Damaged our piano due to lack of helpers/​experience
4. Inefficient use of truck space and too few/​rushed workers resulted in failure to complete job. Had to call them back to finish two days later and also take several loads using our own vehicles.
5. Wrong credit card was charged resulting in multiple bank fees totaling over 150 $ (they would not reimburse these fees)
6. They tried to make up for all of these bad judgement calls by reducing the charges by 90 $ when the total for bill and tips/​food for the guys was over 1100 $.
In summary-​One mistake after another with this company caused us a lot of stress and even more time, energy and money. This experience with Redefyne was nothing short of ridiculous and infuriating for so many reasons. They are priced some what less expensively than many other moving companies, but their inefficiency will cost you more in the long run. Stear clear.

Austin and Jesse from Redefyne Moving moved us from our townhouse to our new home. They were a little early, which was awesome, and had everything loaded up quickly at the old place. They unloaded quickly at the new place too and all of our stuff arrived in great condition. They were fast, courteous, careful, personable, and prompt. They also carried a couch for us from the garage upstairs that wasn’t technically part of our move. I would definitely recommend them and use them again! Lauren who answers the phones and set the appointment was also very nice and easy to work with. Their rates are very competitive.

This was one of the fastest most organize moving companies I’ve ever used. The two movers we’re awesome. they wrapped the furniture in shrink wrap. They loaded the truck in a timely fashion. As well as unloading it. I highly recommend this company. Thanks guys.

It was a pleasure using this moving company! They were on time, worked fast, very careful to protect my possessions and a pleasure to do business with.

Had a great moving experience. All 3 guys worked hard, moved quickly and were very customer focused. They were careful with our furniture and I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to my friends and family.

I was so impressed with this company! Our movers, Nick and Jordan showed up 15 minutes early and started working right away. These guys ran for 2 hours straight and always carried as much stuff as humanly possible. I felt guilty because they were pouring sweat and not slowing down. It only took them 2 hours and 15 minutes to move us from our 2 bedroom into our large studio, about 2 miles away. Best money ever spent on a move. I would absolutely hire them again and recommend them to friends.

The moving guys rock, had Chris and Tory move us the second stage in our 3-​stage move, and they moved our furniture, delicates and the cat scratching post to our new house. They didn’t break a thing and were on the run for three hours straight. I got my money’s worth and will use them for our final move. Good Job folks and thanks again.

Super easy process to reserve the truck and the movers, and the most reasonable prices I found in town, that’s for sure. Brandon and Mike were great movers — showed up on time, had no trouble parking the big truck on our tiny Portland street, wasted no time getting going. This was my first time using movers, and I’d have a hard time not using them again because they made it so much easier than doing it myself!
I’d definitely recommend these guys to family and friends.

The Redefyne team that moved us this year did a great job! Our move was a three man job according the guys moved us but there was just two of them on the team. These fellas busted their buts to get the job done as timely as they could and they did a great job; nothing but positives for them. As for the office folks, they were really friendly on the phone and answered all of my questions however they needed to take more time to ensure they understood the scope of the move. Because they didn’t the team that showed up was person short one and the burden fell on them to handle the additional workload. The second problem was that because of this the move took longer to compete and cost me more money not to mention that the moving team was then unable to make their next appointment.
Overall, I’d do business with them again but next time I’ll be very certain they understand the full scope of the job. This was my fourth relocation and Redefyne was the first company I used that did not send out an appraiser beforehand to quote the job.

I was very impressed with my experience with Redefyne Moving. They were affordable, provided all the equipment and two awesome movers. The guys were friendly and quick and had my 2bedroom apartment moved within 2 hours. I’ve never used movers in the past and it was totally worth the cost! Art 9 months pregnant their want much I could do but these guys safely moved my apartment. I’m so appreciative!!!

Chris and Austin helped us move from NW Portland to South Waterfront yesterday, and they were awesome. They arrived right on time, were incredibly friendly, and very efficient. We moved stuff from two apartments to the new apartment in 3 hours. I highly recommended them (and Redefyne) for any moving assistance that you may need.
