Runabouts is a small alternative preschool for children ages 2 ½– 5.
It is play-based, home-based, and located on a ½ acre urban farm.
There are part-time and full-time options Monday through Thursday.

History
Established in 2007.
After years of dreaming and preparing, Runabouts opened in 2007 in the Foster Powell neighborhood. Since 2011 it has been located on a ½ acre land trust in outer east.

Business Owner
As a caregiver and teacher, I honor the unique human in every child.
I work to foster each individual’s creative genius while also facilitating harmony among the group.
I have been working with young children all around the country for over 15 years, both in preschools and in families’ homes. I am First Aide certified, CPR certified, and enrolled in the criminal history registry, as required for family childcare registration. I have an A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Cabrillo College and a B.A. in Alternative Education and Social Justice from Goddard College. I have attended countless workshops, classes, and conferences related to Alternative Education and Early Childhood, including three times at the Good Stuff For Kids Conference with Bev Bos. I continue to attend such events, read related books and literature, and engage in discussions with trusted colleagues.
