This place is disgusting!!! I would rate them zero if I could, he’ll negative 10. Please don’t buy any food here. Especially the meat, you will get food poisoning. New to the Portland area and came to this place to buy food, the next day I was sick from food poisoning. This place needs to be shut down and reported to the FDA, it seems they change their expiration dates on meat to sell them anyway. Now I know. Terrible, don’t shop here

This grocery store is ok. The produce is not very good but its priced very cheap, so if you are on a budget this is your store… The store is never crowded so there is never a line, you can definitely get in an out easily. Also, they sale the blue trash bags which is what brought me into the store. Thanks!

Save A Lot is an interesting place, though the prices didn’t lead me to believe that I would save very much. We found some interesting deals but what this supermarket is good for is that they carry brands which other stores don’t have. We looked at a lot of things while we were in the store but we walked out with only two items. I find the Halal market across the street to be much more of a draw, but I definitely plan on checking out Save A Lot again the next time I’m in the area.

there are some bargains to be had at Save-A-Lot. then some things are actually more expensive than at your standard grocery store. the Mexican/Latin foods section is decent, tho. i come here on the regular to get these special refried black beans that i can’t find any where else… they are called Ducal and they are pure deliciousness, try some if you stop in. also, fyi, *bring your own bags*, because they charge you for them. yes, you read that right, if you need regular old plastic grocery bag for your many cans of delicious beans, it is not free.
