History

Established in 1985.

The Scottish Country Shop was originally established in 1985 by John & Gail Lewis. Customers were invited to browse through Scottish goods for sale in their home in North Portland and at limited highland games events. The Lewises opened their retail store at 3568 SE Powell Blvd. in 1991, where it remains open to this day. Rick & Debe McCaul assumed ownership and operation of the Scottish Country Shop in 2003, when John & Gail retired and they continue to offer quality imported British goods at the storefront and at approximately 12 – 15 highland games events throughout the Pacific Northwest over the summer months.
