Sierra Springs Water

Don’t even try to cancel. They will have you on hold FOREVER!!! I spent 40 minutes on hold, gave up. I called back on a different number and got put in another hold queue for 20 minutes and FINALLY got service. We’ve had Crystal Springs since we lived in Atlanta continued it here so for almost 10 years. Loved our driver and never had a problem. While we never had too many problems w/​our deliveries here in Portland. We are canceling b/​c their prices keep increasing. It’s cheaper for us to use the Aqua Pur system that was built into our sink of the home we bought here. So no more hassle of dragging the big bottles in or dealing spotty customer service. I will say, when they answer they are nice at least. But damn, that hold time is brutal.

We have been with Sierra Springs for over 7 years and within the last few months the service has been non-​existent. 20 minute wait times on the phone, only to get put on hold again… The bill keeps on coming and the delivery guy will never show OR will drop off one 5 gallon tank on our doorstep on a Friday (closed) where it’s left over the weekend. You’d think that as a long standing customer, they would know better than to deliver water outside of our regular business hours.
I am discontinuing service today.
We will be going with H2Oregon-​better prices and A REAL HUMAN answered.

I have been a long time customer of Sierra Springs (at least 15 years). Over the past two years approx, when DS Waters purchased the company, the customer service level has gone to hell. I have been trying to reach a customer service rep by phone and email for days. For two weeks straight all of their phone numbers had a busy signal all day. When I finally was able to get through, I was on hold over an hour before being disconnected by the automated system. Of course to start new service I reached a rep in less than 10 seconds, who promptly redirected me back to the endless holding cue for existing customers. No one ever responded to my emails.
Finally after a 45 minute hold I was connected to someone who promised the rep would bring a new water cooler out (mine was leaking all over my new hardwoods) on Monday. I left my old cooler on the porch all day and no one ever came to exchange it. After another hour long hold on the automated system I reached a customer service rep who said that there wasn’t a rep in my area on Mondays so that’s why they didn’t come. Then why did your rep schedule for that day?!? He proceeded to make lots of excuses why their customer service team is so hard to reach. So I asked him to cancel my service. He couldn’t understand why I would want to leave.
The only bright star in this company is our previous delivery driver Jared, he was our route rep for 10+ years. He is wonderful and the company is lucky to have him. Very prompt, returns calls and always does what he says he will do. Great guy! The driver we ended up with after Jared was AWFUL and never returns calls.
Sierra Springs used to be amazing, but this new big company atmosphere has destroyed a once customer service friendly, local company. Guess I’m a Culligan customer now.

This is the worst company in the world. Never delivering the water they said they would. Never showing up when they said they would. Over the past month I’ve called 10 times and I have waited on the phone for over an hour each time. Twice I got hung up on before I could say anything. The other times they said it’s been rescheduled to pick up our cooler and bottles since we cancelled our service. They were supposed to show up today and yet again never showed up to pick up our stuff. This is the worst service I have ever had with any company. It’s really rude to have them telling me each time they will have a «manager» call me and they never called. Last time I got a name for my rep and it wasn’t even someone who worked for the company. Which that is rediculous. No one ever use this company.

If I could give them no stars I would. I have had Sierra springs now for about a year I believe. The drivers I have had (only two different ones) are always super nice and helpful. However, when it comes to «customer service» there is none. I am literally paying them $ 30 a month to service my own account and pick up my own damn water. My water was delivered to the wrong apartment TWICE when my apartments are VERY clearly marked. I was pregnant at the time and couldn’t lift them to bring them to my home. We recently moved addresses to a home and they delivered water to my OLD address. I had to drive back over and pick up my damn water. Every time you try to call customer service you will be on hold for a MIN of 20 minutes I guarantee it (as I’m typing this review I have now been on hold for 21 minutes.) I have googled other water companies to try and find others but it looks like they all work together sort of. They SUCK. I’m only keeping them for another month and then I’m done.

Do Not under any circumstance use this company. My fist issue was delivery and set up. When ordered the rep said they would call to coordinate a day to deliver. I was going on vaction so this was a concern. While on vacation I received a voicemail that they were going to deliver the next day. I was well over a days drive from home at the time. I then spent probably 3 hours on the phone trying to get a hold of someone that could cancel this. I could not use the online account as I had not received an account number yet. This should have been my first clue. I was forced to set up auto debit on my card in order to set up the account. So, I checked almost daily for an invoice so I would know what to expect to come out of my account. On the 7^th I was debited money from my account. I went online to the website and my latest invoice still showed a ZERO balance. I started trying to call. Again spend at least an hour on hold several time only to get mysteriously disconnected and have to do it all over again. I finnaly got an invoice dated the 9^th that had then info on it. On the 10^th I finnally got a live person who could only say she could not help me but had to transfer me to another person, so there I set on hold again for 1 hour and 52 minutes before got disconnected again. SO I called again and requested a supervisor immediatly, who also said he could not cancel it and woud have to put me on hold, should be about 20 minutes. 1 hour and 52 minutes later listening to their horrible advertizing and how committed to customer service they are i got disconnected yet again. Wehn i tried back they were closed for the day. Called again when they opened 5 am my time on Monday, sat on hold for another 45 minutes finnaly got someone who theorretically cancelled. my account I guess we will see.
If you are having good service good for you. I truely hope you never have an issue that you have to call customer service for. If you do, plan on being on hold for hours upon hours.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The delivery guy creeps all of us out… something about him. The others include 3 grown men and another woman at my workplace. They miss deliveries, have left bottles in the hallway and not bother ringing the doorbell (this has happened while we were all inside so it’s not like we missed him while at lunch) I have never gotten anyone on the phone, which is luck for them because all I wanted to do was chew them a new asshole and find out about our contract so that we could make an educated decision about the service. Now the bosses no longer care and want «Anything but Sierra Springs» I saw a Percasso delivery van outside the building today, saw they were local and rang them up. They are awesome. They have rad reviews and best of all (aside from Unilocal status) they are local and I was able to chat with 3 super nice folks about everything I had questions on. I would rather support a local business any day over a huge corporate giant. I’m excited to get the ball rolling with Percasso and have that ball run over Sierra Springs and never look back!

On ⁹⁄₁₄ the handle on our cooler broke and I have literally been trying to get a hold of someone, anyone over at Sierra Springs to no avail. I have called the office two dozen times only to get a busy signal, I have submitted 2 online requests, left multiple voicemail’s with our delivery rep and even Facebook messaged them. Its been 48 hours and I still have not received a call back. Nothing at all.
Terrible Service!
9÷17− Still have heard nothing back from this company. Online chat rep just said «Keep calling» and offered no other assistance. What a joke!

We have had service for a couple of years now and had been pleased with it. But our experience recently is a lot like other reviewers. Suddenly, they miss delivery dates and it’s next to impossible to get through to the customer service rep. Their phone (an 800 number) is always busy. Who runs a business like that these days? And I completely agree, when you finally reason a customer representative, they are rude and nasty. Not worth my money or business.

Negative 5 would be nice.
Worst service EVER. No local number to call. You have to call a toll free number and I am always on hold 45+ minutes. I stopped paying to get their attention. They responded by «discontinuing» my service for non payment, yet, the water jugs keep getting delivered. I called since I had a spare hour, to cancel, only to be told that the 3 jugs they delivered when I was supposedly discontinued, I am responsible due to regulations. If I ever get a water service again, I will never, EVER use this horrible company again. The worst customer service I have ever gotten.. . Or not gotten!!!

My terrible experience is happening to others and I thought I might be alone.
Sierra Springs has been terrible. Which is really sad because they use to be pretty good. We have had an account for a couple of years. Usually always on time. Now we get water when ever they might think about it.
Earlier this year we had ten empty jugs stacked up. That’s five months of water. We would have a scheduled delivery day and they would not show up. Then later that week we would have two bottles at our door or we would have none at all until the next month.
This month they missed the scheduled day and we waited two days and called DS Services number and got in touch with a sales rep. She said «oh I’m sorry we missed your water… we can schedule a drop off next week.» I’m sorry but why next week? What if we never called. I can bet we would not be getting water until next month.
Shouldn’t it be that the driver and their supervisor has a schedule of deliveries and can see at the end of the day which ones still need deliveries and those are first on the delivery the next day?
If your thinking about water service go somewhere else.

Worst company EVER! They sent me too collections before my 90 days. Then the customer service rep was completed rude, when I called to inquire about why. There was no warning or anything, they just charged me through the nose, including for the water tank itself, not even first offering to have me return it before sending me to collections.

My entire experience with Sierra Springs was nightmare. When the salesman first came into my store, it didn’t sound like a bad service. $ 5.50 a month, plus the bottle deposit. Service included a one year contract which didn’t seem like a problem at the time.
Well, as soon as I got my first bill, there was an «energy surcharge» fee on my bill, not mentioned by the salesman. Thereafter, my bill seemed to increase every month.
Finally, a year and a half later, I decided to close my account. I tried calling, but being an automated system, I could not find a «close my account» option. It was extremely difficult closing my account. I tried through e-​mail, and while they didn’t answer the first time, the second time they denied my request telling me to call them. So I called them and after several minutes of frustration, finally found a «close account» option. Well, the lady I talked to said there would be a $ 15 fee to close my account. Again, not mentioned by the salesman. And I’m not under contract, as I recall there would not be a fee at all unless I voided my contract.
I would never recommend this company to ANYBODY!

The water tastes ok, but i rented a cooler from them. Unfortunately yesterday was the 3^rd time it leaked all over my kitchen. It is absolutely impossible to get thru to the company on the phone to cancel the service, nor do they respond to emails. Very frustrating to have a warped floor, the cooler being now in the garage and still getting charged. Good luck.

i work at an office where we have had service with Sierra Springs, we’ve had them for probably a year– there is an issue EVERY time, whether it’s with the bill, or them not showing up for delivery– when i call they tell me «oh, the delivery was rescheduled» but it was never communicated. It takes me ages to get through whenever I call customer service, 35 minutes last time on hold and I still didn’t get through! I called to cancel our service and they were supposed to pick up our equiptment the following day, it’s been 3 days now and they still haven’t come. When I call, they tell me «oh, it’s been rescheduled for tomorrow– he will for sure be there tomorrow». The same response every time. I would give them less than a star if I could. Beware! These guys are the worst!

I’m surprised to see all the negative reviews. I’ve had a pretty standard experience with them as a company but our delivery guy who is also our account rep (I believe) has always been super friendly and very willing to help us with whatever we asked. We recently had a water cooler break (no hot water) and he came out the day after our call and fixed it. This is an office unit btw.
The comment about BPA worries me but I’m fairly certain I get many more harmful chemicals in my body from a variety of other sources. I put alcohol in my body so I think complaining about BPA would be hypocritical. Is there BPA in soda bottles? If I’m not mistaken, there are worse things in tap water. Pick your poison I guess.
We always seem to get new water bottles before the old ones are spent. Never had a serious issue. The cost is affordable and the service is convenient. No complaints, only praise.

8 empty water jugs haven’t had someone come in over 2 months!!! Not that hard to bring water every 2 weeks

I have not received a delivery in 7 weeks now and I canceled 2 weeks ago and they still haven’t showed up to pick up the cooler that they threatened me with extra fees if I didn’t return to them after 3 no show scheduled pick ups.
They ‘don’t document’ previous contacts with customer serivce and are so super rude. I have been on the phone with them AT LEAST 4 times now.
The most consistent interaction is the bill … I haven’t even had service for 2 months but the bills come right on time.

BEWARE: THEY USE BOTTLES THAT ARE NOT BPA — FREE!
As soon as I learned this I canceled service.
MUCH better alternatives out there!
I found their customer service was good, the delivery people also were good.

Very unprofessional. Customer service is not friendly. Delivery drivers do not show up. My water cooler leaked and was broken for two months. I did not feel valued as a customer. I was with Sierra Springs for about two years. Miscellaneous charges occurred on my bill almost monthly. I never paid the same amount. Calling and disputing or questioning these charges was always very time consuming and went in circles as representatives don’t leave notes on your account for each other. Finally I canceled my service after being stood up yet again by the delivery driver. I do not recommend.
