Dr. Persichetti traveled to Portland after graduation from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland. The purpose of his visit to Portland was to receive advanced training in general dentistry in a residency program at the Oregon Health Sciences University. After completing his year of residency, Dr. Persichetti joined the faculty at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. He has been an associate professor at the dental school since 1985. He joined Downtown Dental Associates in 1997. Dr. Persichetti continues to teach at the dental school one and a half days per week.

Dr. Persichetti’s practice philosophy is based upon a desire to blend art, science and intuition to meet the treatment needs and personal concerns of his patients. His approach to dental practice is based upon an uncompromising concern and personal commitment to the welfare of his patients, dedication to quality, and innovation.
