Studio One Dance Academy

Went to this studio once. The front desk gal was rude, crabby and seemed annoyed with my simple questions. After the one time we decided not to go back due to the customer service or lack thereof. A few months later I was charged the monthly fee even though I hadn’t been there. I was also charged with an NSF fee because it came out of an account I don’t use anymore. I called twice to talk about a refund, always getting the voice mail but leaving a message. I finely resorted to emailing asking for a refund. I was told (lied to) that the older woman did indeed leave a message (she did not). After emailing with the owner she said she mailed a refund. I never got it. I believe it was never mailed in the first place and she was just trying to get me to go away. She claims it was lost in the mail or was delayed from the holiday. Things are never lost in the mail. We emailed back & forth more, she said she would put cash in an envelop and leave at the front desk for me. Her studio hours are limited. I am never on that side of town. I have 3 small children and a husband in Alaska. It’s almost impossible to get there. Not to mention, this was HER mistake. Why was I expected to do all the work getting my money back. Really? That’s how you run a business? I asked her again to mail a check to a new address because I couldn’t get there & was done going round & round with this woman. She flat out refused to reissue a check. Appalling!!! I finally decided that was it and will be going to my bank Monday for a refund. They can deal with this terrible person instead of me. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. I cannot believe people run their business this way. I will never refer friends to this studio.
I wish I didn’t have to give this place any stars but couldn’t post without doing one. Boo!

I’ve been twice now for the Saturday morning dance workout. The instructor is great, very fun and encouraging. It’s a good workout and keeps your mind off how hard you’re working it. They seem fairly organized at the front desk but the first time I went it was a bit of chaos at the front desk. I suppose that is what happens when you offer classes for young children as well. I’ll be going back when my schedule allows. Fun times!
