Tate Insurance Services

We worked with Ron Tate, the man of one-​man-​outfit that is Tate insurance services. We needed health insurance for a small company, and wanted to go through a broker who could help us navigate the complex landscape that is health insurance. I would always pass this place on strolls in the Alberta neighborhood, and just stopped in one day to ask some questions. I liked that it wasn’t some big corporation, just a man, an office, and a sometime admin asst.
Anyway, Ron was super helpful and ended up doing house calls a few times for meetings. He’s been in the business for a long time and could answer most of our questions. The ones he couldn’t answer he’d research and promptly get back to us.
It was overall a good experience and the one-​on-​one service was great. I think there’s online brokers you can go to, or you can compare yourself and then go to the insurance companies direct, but either way the charge is, by law, always the same.
So why not go with a real person and let someone do the work for you? We’re glad we did, and we’ll be going with Ron for life insurance next.
