Specialties

We specialize in the ancient art of body sugaring, a natural alternative to waxing. We use a paste that resembles honey, made from lemon juice, sugar, and water. By spreading it over he hair, it attaches to the hairs without attaching to live skin. Using a wrist flicking motion, the sugar paste is removed and hair is pulled out by the root and in the direction of growth, resulting in less breakage and less in grown hairs! It is only as warm as your skin, so no burning and much less redness and irritation. Aja also specialize in individually applied eyelash extensions. She has been trained and certified by Lavish Lashes, the most reputable eyelash extension training business in the country. She has been practicing lash extensions since 2012 and specializes in natural and dramatic looking lashes as well as removal of improperly applied extensions from other salons. She is very passionate about the safety and health of your eyes and offers low rates for removal and competitive rates for application.

History

Established in 2013.

We established in the lovely NW of Portland in 2013. We found a cute little space in a charming yellow victorian house right on Kearney St. It’s a beautiful and quiet space and we even have a parking lot! We just love it, and hope you do too! Our primary focus for business is body sugaring, however we also offer a few select beauty services that we specialize in and love. Eyelash extensions and brow tinting were added to the menu and a few other fun things are in the works!

Meet the Business Owner

Aja C.

Business Owner

Hello Yelp Users! My name is Aja and I am the lucky owner of the amazing little local business. I went to school for Esthetics and became a licensed esthetician in 2012. In school I was taught to wax, and there was no mention of the ancient practice of sugaring. Thankfully, I came across it on my own and immediately fell in love. I got trained as soon as I possibly could and have never looked back. I also have a passion for eyelash extensions and have received extensive training to make sure I provide the best and safest application possible.

Being a business owner in Portland has been incredible. It is super challenging and equally, if not exceedingly rewarding. I meet the most amazing people and have made some of the best friends within my clients. You all are what make this local business and I appreciate you choosing to come here and continuing to come back.
