Two pool tables, lots of other arcade games and two TVs for your entertainment. Happy hour prices on Boneyard are the best in town, and they serve a full 20oz pint. The only annoying thing are the pretentious people waiting for their table at Le Pigeon stinking the place up. Its a dive bar not a wine bar. Noble Rot is a couple of blocks east.

Yep, this place basically nailed it. I welcomed with open arms on a Friday night as I walked in with a hoody and basketball shorts on. It’s like a mini arcade for 21 and older. Not too many games, but just the right amount with the right variety. Buck Hunter and Golden Tee are solid there, both on large screens. They also have a handful of the classics and a few interactive games, like pop a shot. Drinks are beyond stiff. The other night I had a vodka Soda and gagged after my first sip. That may sounds slightly gross, but I’d say that’s a pretty good sign that the bar tenders are overly generous. Sizzle Pie is down a few blocks for when you’re ready to call it a night. I will probably be back there within the next week, I would imagine.

A walk away from the Jupiter Hotel, if you’re looking for a bar this might be a quick drink. First time we stopped in because we were waiting for a table at the ramen restaurant. The bartender was pretty nice and we sat at the bar watching the football game. A few beers on draft and bottles, there’s a chalkboard with the list of drafts on tap. The guy was nice and atmosphere was decent so we decided we would come back another night. The second night, bartender was pretty rude and uninterested in customer service. Bad music playing and just not a good vibe. This time we played a few video games but nothing special, we were pretty uncomfortable and decided this was not where we wanted to hang out. A handful of video games, two pool tables, skew ball, and basketball. Goldfish at the bar as a snack isn’t too bad. Overall, you can skip it and go to the brewery or s different bar for a better vibe.

This place is perfect for grabbing a drink before a show at the Doug Fir. Games and good bartenders help when you’re trying to salvage a downward trending date. A couple televisions with sports games going, pool, and arcade games make it tough not to like. Kind of divey, yet not. Friendly bartender and goldfish crackers on the bar. Skipped the food, so no opinion there. Three stars only because of my personal preference and experience, nothing to do with the establishment overall. Pros: * Things to do(games, etc.) * Cleanest dive in Portland(?) * Great service * On bus line, near other venues Cons: * Beer selection was okay, not great * Street parking only * No dartboard

My last experience here was pretty lame. Only because the bartender was really rude. I’m a bartender as well, but the attitude given was just plain lame. Today, after having a really bad day, I stopped by. The gal behind the bar was so awesome! Made small talk with me and we shared a few stories. Busy or not, it was cool to walk away with a better experience. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, so it’s awesome to leave 5 stars to a gal like her! Cheers!

Went here before a comedy show on 10÷17÷15 at Bossanova Ballroom. First thing I noticed was all the cool arcade games. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Chips and salsa were good. Not homemade chips though, but the salsa(red and verde) was amazing. Also ordered«Lupita’s tamales». These are apparently made by one of the employee’s mother. My compliments to Lupita. The tamales were cooked to perfection a wrapped in corn husks. Obviously hand made and VERYTASTY! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. They seemed to have a good sausage selection, hence the name. Look forward to ordering one next visit.

OUTOFTOWNERSBEWARE! I was excited to go here and relive the days of my youth by playing Skee Ball. That excitement was crushed when my real(over 21) North Carolina driver license was snapped in half by the bouncer, who claimed that’s how the OLCC told her to check for fakes. «Fakes snap when you bend them.» While this may have been what the OLCC told her to do, since driver’s licenses vary from state to state, it’s not the greatest method by which to verify if they’re genuine. I looked on the OLCC website and did not see«bend the license in half» as a suggested method for checking. Maybe I missed something, though. I called the bar to ask if they would reimburse me for the cost to replace my license, but they don’t have a phone line anymore. So I walked to the bar on Sunday to speak to the manager — there was none — and I gave my info to the bartender who said he’d give it to the owner and to expect a call later that day. So far I’ve gotten no phone call from the owner and I’m stuck with a taped together, invalid license. Thank god I don’t have to drive a car, catch a flight, or go into another bar, because it will be 7 – 14 business days before my new license is mailed to me. Hopefully the owner will do the right thing and reimburse me for the fee. Maybe even apologize for a bad customer experience. It’s a shame really. I’m sure the Skee Ball is great.

Service: good, I was checked in on several times Price on drinks: drank at 5pm and paid 3.50 for my muddled vodka drink Tacos: over priced big time, they were on flour shells with only a half portion of meat. Very disappointed, I’m hoping for an off night. The other pictures looked worth the 2 $ this one was worth .50 $

This place is super awesome! They have ski ball, and arcade games, basketball throwing game, and pool tables! They even have a bar of course, and it’s pretty large sized bar and there’s places to sit all around. For Saturday night? No we went on a Sunday night, it was pretty empty, which is expected for a Sunday night. But the bartenders were great they had two bartenders. Both of which were very nice and helpful. Wish you were going to get stuck in one of the machines just go over there and ask them to help you out and they will. What’s also cool is that they have little dishes of goldfish sitting on the bar counters, which I mean if your German phobia probably won’t want to eat out of them, but I ate out of them because I was hungry and they were pretty good super fresh and not stale. I can only imagine what this places like when it is on a Friday or Saturday night.

Good little neighborhood bar. Some good beer on tap(Boneyard as an example) as well as pool tables, skeeball, video games and outside seating if you so desire. Service was decent, seemed to be typical PDX though, not exactly the friendliest staff but whatever. I was there for a drink I guess, not to make friends with the bartender so I can get over that. While I haven’t tried the food yet, they do have Taco Tuesday.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The attitude from the bartenders was absolutely astonishing. Basically yelled at a woman who asked for quarters, because there was a machine behind her. And whatever you do don’t put money into the juke box, because if its not music they like, they’ll just press the skip button. I didn’t even bother asking for my money back after seeing how the poor woman was treated after asking for change.

Nice place to to have a beer, my husband was very happy with the goldfish, they have a pool table and video games. We don’t think we’re going back, and it has nothing to do with the place but with the service, terrible service, the bartender was very unfriendly and seem to be in a bad mood. Maybe instead of so many game machines they should add more seating. We just think that there’s so many better places to go than this one. Almost always the service plays a big role, and maybe if they just put more friendly staff people is gonna feel like going back.

Great beer selection with local stuff, great prices, and stiff drinks. Their Taco Tuesdays aren’t bad either($ 2.00 ea). The daytime crowd vs the nighttime crowd are polar opposites. Daytime: bros drinking beers at the bar and chillin to 80’s pop music. Nighttime: Too Fast Too Furious bros and hip hop. I did notice that the bros heavily outnumbered the ladies here so single ladies, hit that bookmark button.

Decent pretzel. Didn’t stay long enough to try anything else. The bartender, though attentive to all men, hardly looked at my group which contained two women. Maybe the food is good, but too difficult to get any service, let alone a smile or any sort of welcome. Boo. The Wurst is the Worse.

I was introduced to The Wurst by a friend. First it was, «Come see my new place!» and then it was followed by «Let’s go this bar by my house.» The bar was not even close to being by her house but I am glad that we went. All she had to say was«They have skeeball.» To which I immediately answered, «Hell yea, let’s go!» The Wurst is right along Burnside so you’re not going to miss any of that outside action. There is outdoor seating in the front. The stools are rad. At first I thought they swiped the stool from Ground Kontrol but then my friend told me it was a T-shirt. Each stool had a different T-shirt that they turned into a cushioned seat. That’s way cool! There was some artwork hanging from a local artist. Since this is the first time I have been here, I don’t know if they rotate their art. They also have a pool table, foos ball and a handful of old school arcade games like Super Mario 1, Mortal Kombat, and Tetris to name a few. It must be the introvert in me because I don’t really understand why people go to bars and I have gone to my fair share of bars. I mean, if an alcoholic beverage is what you want, why not save some money and go buy your own liquor and mixer. So for me, a bar has to have something else going for itself besides ESPN on the TV and strong drinks. Fortunately for The Wurst, it has skeeball and arcade games. That will do it for me especially since I’m not much of an drinker anyway. This is a cool place to hang out with your friends and have a good time. You should check it out.

Sometimes a dive bar is exactly what is called for. The Wurst just happens to be one of the best, less divey ones. The drink prices were decent and I appreciated that the bartender had knowledge of the music they played — so I could write a few of them down and buy them on itunes later. It’s centrally located(right beneath Bosa Nova’s) and makes for a great place to pop in while also trying other bars and breweries in that neck of the woods. Besides just having a bar, they also have a jukebox, pool tables and video games — for my ADD friends who can’t sit still hand have a normal(drunken) conversation. If you are attending an event at Bosa Nova, or having a beer at the brew pub down the street it’s worth it to drop in.

I’m being kind with three stars. The extra star is for the skee-ball… That does not reward you with tickets for prizes or drinks. No tables, few chairs. Lame music. Pricey drinks. Cougars. If you want good pinball bars check out C-bar and ship ahoy. Meh

I was walking down Burnside on my way to the Plaid Pantry for some goodies when I noticed the Wurst for the first time. It was closed and empty at the time, but I still spied a clear view of a buttload of pinball machines, pool tables, and SKEEBALL! I think I squealed, though I managed to refrain from peeing myself or passing out. Go, me. At that moment, standing with my face pressed against the glass windows, I solemnly vowed to myself that I’d be back. Six hours later, I was. I was only able to enjoy about half an hour at the bar before having to head to my dinner reservation, but I was filled with glee. Skeeball is one of those childhood activities that bring back so much goodness. I had competitions with my fella and worked up a sweat perfecting a sideways roll that mostly hits the 50 pocket on the Skeeball game. There was too little time and too many patrons to get any pinball action in, and the place was hoppin’ but there was no wait at the bar. And I must say, the bartender was an absolute doll. Nice beer tap selection and liquor selection, decent prices, cider on tap, Rumpleminze in the cooler… Heck yeah. They also made bar stool covers from t-shirts advertising some of the employee’s favorite local haunts. Partnering with the competition is an interesting method. I’ll always keep a window open for this place during my next Portland visits.
