History

Established in 2014.

Abby Buchanan and Associates Massage Therapy was founded in 2011. IIt was a dream of Abby’s to be able to offer more comprehensive wellness support to their clients, so in 2014 they partnered with Carrie Dickson, AWC, to form Veda Collective! Veda Collective offers sports, deep tissue, relaxation, aromatherapy, and motor vehicle accident recovery massage, sound therapy, and Ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle consulting.

Business Owner

Abby Buchanan, LMT is a holistic body worker specializing in massage therapy and sound therapy. She loves her team at Veda Collective!

Abby’s sessions merge the power of sound with skilled, compassionate bodywork. As a trained musician and a Licensed Massage Therapist, she has served over 2,000 clients since 1999. In 2013, she studied Sound Therapy with Singing Bowl Master Teacher Shree Shahi in Nepal at the Kathmandu Center of Healing. She utilizes an antique set of singing bowls handcrafted in Nepal.

She has received massage training from Midland College, Avalon School of Massage, Coleman College of Health Sciences, and numerous workshops and seminars including Aromatherapy, Ashiatsu, Prenatal Massage, and Massage for Individuals Living with Cancer. Abby also holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition and is an accomplished guitarist and pianist.

She was recently featured in Portland Monthly Magazine’s Top Doctors issue (Jan. 2014) as a Top Natural Practitioner.
