Boomer’s Pet Boutique

The friendly staff helped me to the self-​wash station and afterwards a groomer clipped my dog’s nails. Everyone was helpful and professional. I got right in for both the wash and a nail trim (well, I didn’t get in, the pup did). For $ 20 per wash I can’t recommend the dog self-​wash. There is a machine that mixes water and soap. I tried three different brands of soap and my dog was not really clean after the bath (I think only a teensy bit of soap is mixed in as there was no lather). Also, they don’t have any of the extras of most self-​wash salons like scissors for small mats and ear wash. It is a bring your own treat type of place (the dog recommended giving it 1-​star based on that alone). However, the towels were heavenly! Props to the groomer, the $ 7 nail trim (+$ 3 tip), is worth twice the price!

Excellent service. Huge variety of items for your dog. They have a little bit of everything. They have a nice easy set up so you can easily find what you need. They are very helping in helping you in the process. I picked up a couple of toys, t-​shirt, and rain coat.

Took my elderly chihuahua in for a nail trim. She was way overdue, I expected her to be muzzled and give the lady a run for her money. Tosha, their groomer, did an amazing job, no muzzle! All while I watched through the glass! Would highly recommend! Thank you ladies for your caring treatment of myself and my little lady, Daisy May :)

We’ve taken two of our dogs to the groomer (Tasha) here. Yesterday she groomed our Pekinese and he looks awesome. Today she bathed our Beagle and clipped her toe nails. I love that they don’t keep your dog all day, but actually schedule an appointment and call you as soon as your dog is finished. Our Pekinese was only there a little over two hours, our Beagle only an hour. The owner and another cashier/​greeter were there both days, super friendly and nice. I love having a great groomer so close by and I love supporting small, local businesses.

They’ll tell you that you’re not allowed to take photos but they can’t be bothered to greet you or ask if you need help with anything. I’m sorry that other customers ruined it for people like me just wanting to tell my friends about the products in the store. I won’t be shopping there or recommending it to my friends.

My boyfriend and I stopped by here today for the first time after having driven by about a month ago and first learning of its existence.
A testament to how much I liked the stuff here would be the fact that we were there for practically an hour while I oohed and awwed (yes, awwed) at everything. I was like a kid in a candy store.
The owners here are VERY friendly and I enjoyed chatting with both of them. They asked everyone who came in about their pets and were very nice and personable. I love family establishments like this.
They have a large selection of breed-​specific goodies — mugs, greeting cards, stickers, etc. I think this adds to the «personalized» feel of the store and I liked it.
It is unfortunately someplace I can only visit when at my boyfriend’s parents’ house but we now know where to go for gifts for future birthdays and holidays. I can’t even count the number of times I was like, «awww we should get this for _​_​_​_​!» Perfect for any dog owner (and dog).
Next time we will be back with our puppy so she can pick out some toys for herself. I am excited for her to meet the owners’ gigantic pup Henry. This place is one of my favorites that I’ve visited and we have been to SO MANY pet stores in the Seattle and Kitsap area.

I like visiting Poulsbo for all of the cool shops, and this one is always on my list of places to go. The same guy is always in there, and I’m not sure if he is the owner or not, but he acts like it. He is super talkative and was excited that I knew his dog was a Giant Schnauzer and started telling me all kinds of stories about the dog. He also remembered that I was in there before, which it’s always nice when you are recognized as a repeat customer. Anyway, I really like their selection of everything, but adore some of the cute collars they carry and always end up getting my dog a new one when I stop in here. I would of given it 5 stars, but some items are a bit overpriced.

A great store with so many products! Everywhere I looked I found something I just had to have. The owners were so helpful and treated our boxers like they were their own! A great find while traveling up in the northwest.

Found this place during our travels and the owners are awesome. You can tell they love animals and took a picture of our great buddy Mr. Hobbes today to post. Highly recommend.

Very cool place in Poulsbo and very friendly owner how encourages you to bring in your dogs. He has a very large and very friendly Giant Schnauzer that roams the store. Prices are a little higher it being a boutique but still very nice place.

We’ve had great experiences at Boomers! Our doodles’ favorite items are their antlers. They have the best prices and largest sizes I’ve ever found. The owners are friendly and Henry, the store mascot, is a doll. We enjoy visiting every time we’re in Poulsbo.

I have to disagree with another reviewer… my experience with the owner/​employees at Boomer’s has alway been beyond friendly. Granted, I have only stopped in here a few times, but I have always been greeted and engaged in conversation. All of the workers have a genuine love for animals… with employees bringing their dogs (which I believe have all been adopted from shelters) into the store to hang out.
Aside from great customer service, Boomer’s has everything and anything for animal lovers. We like to collect Pug memorabilia, and there is a huge selection here. I recently bought a dachshund statue to ship to my father in Florida. They were meticulous in packaging it up for me, so it would be safe during shipment.
Definitely stop in if you are into animal décor. And, while you may be able to find the same merchandise online, the prices at Boomer’s are comparative, and you are supporting a local business!

I am local and drive by daily on my way home from work. The worst customer service ever. Lady that owns it is rude to her local customers which will drive me to shop at the other local pet store. The products are all over priced and can easily be bought on Amazon for 30% less.

We discovered Boomer’s in December 2011 when we were doing some shopping in Poulsbo, Wa. We were impressed with the selection, the way it was merchandised, but most of all with the enthusiasm of the young couple who had recently opened the store. We are revisiting the store today, since we now have some new puppies in the family and we thought it would be fun to do their Christmas shopping at Boomers. I will write another review later. I was surprised no one had rated this store yet.
