Superior Pet Foods

I went looking for low fat food for my dog who has pancreatitis. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but their lowest fat food was too high in fat for what my vet recommended. Their selection of dog food seemed a bit limited.
The sign on the door now reads «Ask before bringing your dog inside.» I didn’t ask since my dog marks everywhere so I try to avoid taking him inside.

If you enjoy paying premium prices for crap customer service, then this is your gross urinal at the end of the poop-​colored rainbow, my friend.
There was an older, white-​haired guy working there who was nasty right out the gate. When my boyfriend recommended getting some treats for the white dog, we asked where they were (having never been in the store before). He sulkily takes us to the aisle, then asks what we’re looking for. When I say «he really likes something like turkey strips» he exclaims with SO MUCH ATTITUDE: «TURKEY strips!!!»
Yes. Turkey, or turkey by-​product. In strips. Turkey strips.
(NOT an uncommon dog treat, in case you suffered blunt head trauma recently and can’t remember that.)
From his complete disbelief that someone could have asked something so stupid, you’d think I’d admitted my dog really has thing for zebra kidneys. Or dinosaur nipples.
As he’s putting on this show, NEVER MIND that right at eye level, there are turkey treats in spades in this aisle.
Ask if the store offers a military discount, and you’ll get more of the same «NO, dummy» attitude.
My guy’s the most easygoing dude I know, and even HE commented on the craptastic attitude that guy had.

I’m giving three stars now because the owner changed the rude sign on the door. They do offer way better service thank Petco and they have some really interesting/​hard to find dog and cat food, toys etc.

Giving Superior Pet Foods 5-​Stars for customer service. We special our dog food for our 3 Great Danes through them on a monthly basis (obviously a lot of food). While they have had some issues with their supplier sending the wrong food (we order grain-​free, but they sometimes send the food with grains), Superior always fixes the issue.
On the most recent occassion, I called to check on the status of our order and was told that they received the wrong kind and were contacting the supplier. When I then told the manager that we were completely OUT of food (our own fault for ordering late) and also were heading out of town the next day and needing the food to take to the kennel, he personally drove to the supplier to pick it up for us so we would have it that day. Couldn’t believe he did this for us!

Terrible customer service from one of the women! There was a man working the register that seemed very nice though. I had asked if my 3 yr old daughter could use the restroom and he told me where it was. I walked back to it only to get a nasty condescending «that is not a public restroom» from a rude woman who was on her phone in the back. I told her I had asked at the front and the man gave us permission and she rolled her eyes at us. Everyone has bad days but that was unacceptable. We left without buying their overpriced leashes and will absolutely never return to that store! I got another leash from Albertson’s next door for half the price and one of their employees actually had us use the employee restroom because we were waiting in line an she saw that my daughter really needed to go.

I LOVE Superior Pet Foods! They have the best dog Food you can buy (Orijen) and all the employees are Amazing! If you want a good healthy, food or treat for your pet that doesn’t have fillers and byproducts go to Superior Pet Foods!

After going to Naturally For Paws for a while — we were so affended at a sign they had posted about children! I found Superior Pet Foods and realized how very, very nice the people who not only own it — but also who are employees there! We have never gone back to Naturally for Paws — and never will! Superior Pet Foods is the best — most healthiest place to buy your pets foods! We have a boxer who has cancer — and we have her on a NO GRAIN diet and it helps her so much! I would highly recommend to people to not feed their dogs grains! It’s not good for them! Superior Pet Foods have the best variety of very healthy food and snacks for your pets — and they are sooo nice — and they love children and encourage them to shop in their store! Thank you so much for being so wonderful!

My cat is a serious pain in the rear. She has a ton of random health problems that are too gross for Unilocal,so I’ll spare the details. Anyway, until we found out about Superior Health Foods, we’d have to go all over the freaking county to get all of her various supplies.
Superior Health Foods is located in a small storefront right next to Albertsons in the Poulsbo Village shopping center. They carry a full range of natural dog and cat foods — from limited and special diets for certain health conditions, to raw foods for the most pampered dog. They carry all sorts of supplies like litter (including special non-​clay litters like Feline Pine), scratchers, toys, collars, leashes and grooming supplies. They also carry a range of herbal and homeopathic remedies. This is a great little store with everything you need for your high-​maintenance pet.
