A & A Muffler Service

If I could give TEN STARS I would!!! We have a Dodge Cummins Diesel pick up, 12 years old. Willy is the ONLY mechanic I would ever allow to work on our truck. He is honest, reliable and a dream to work with. Our truck has had some hard to diagnose issues, Willy was like a dog on a bone until he figured it out. Willy is fair and reasonable, we could not ask for a better mechanic!!!

OUT-​FREAKIN-​STANDING customer service. I called about an exhaust hanger and who I assume is the manager/​owner told me to come by so he could try and find a match in his shop.
So I stopped by and he immediately put my truck on the lift, searched throughout the shop for a matching pair, then installed and aligned my exhaust in a mere matter of minutes.
When it was all said and done he noticed I was in the military and thanked me for my service and basically for the price of lunch I was on my way.
That’s community and definitely worthy of being a 5 star review on Unilocal.I would without a doubt recommend you stop by for all your exhaust needs!

Excellent quality work at a fair price. Great attention to detail. Showed me my old parts and explained how they had failed. Can’t say enough good things about my A And A experience. Willy even stayed a few minutes late for me when I couldn’t get there before closing. I’ll be coming back and recommending them to my friends.

Picked up a Silverado 1500 that to me sounded like a Prius. Stopped by to get some advice and Willy knew exactly what I was looking for. Ended up getting a Flowmaster Super 40 muffler installed and asked him to customize the pipes to dump it out in front of the rear tire «Nascar Style» with a chrome tip. Dropped off this AM, one quick call from him to verify exactly what I wanted, picked it up this afternoon, and could not be happier. Now, I have that deep growl every truck owner yearns for.

I had a small exhaust leak on my Cobra after I replaced the x-​pipe and cat-​back. I called and made an appointment. I showed up promptly at 8:30am and the shop was ready for me. We experienced a little trouble getting the car on the lift since it was lowered some, but that was not the shops fault, having a lowered car is a PITA…
Once on the lift, he located the small leak, tightened down a nut that I couldn’t get to and sent me on my way… No charge… Amazing… He could have easily charged me just for the time it took to get my lowered car on and off the ramps.
The owner is one of the nicest guys that you will ever meet. A&A really took care of me and my car. I would HIGHLY recommend and would go back in a heart beat to have exhaust work done.

Highly recommend this shop. Great pricing, honest, knowledgeable in their trade, and fast turnaround to get your vehicle back. My husband needed his catalytic converters replaced — and had quotes in the $ 1000 range. These guys replaced BOTH for under $ 600.

Brought my Eurovan for an exhaust leak. They checked for free and even told me I could look around for a cheaper alternative then the dealers $ 600 piece. I found a used one on the internet. When they went to install they noticed it was bent.
Instead of making a huge deal out of it they cut and welded the piece and made it work perfectly. Most shops would have made into a nightmare repair.
These guys know what they are doing and get the job done. This is the friendly local garage you are looking for!!!

I prefer to support local small businesses so I searched Unilocal for muffler shops in Poway and came across A & A.
I needed an aftermarket muffler installed that I purchased online and after speaking with Willy on the phone, I felt very confident that this was the place to take my car.
Though Willy was not there when I dropped off my car, George, the mechanic who works in the adjacent garage, took care of me. The feeling I got was very ‘home town’, which I really liked.
Willy suggested that I spot weld the hanging braces to elimate the rattle so many people experience with aftermark mufflers.
End result was a job well done, at a fair price, and with a handshake from a ‘local’ who proudly owns his own business.

A and A is a locally owned well renowned company in which I did research on. I am currently getting some frontend work done and couldnt be happier. Willy is a down to earth straight shooter that dont bull *%$#. Suggest his services anyone who wants a job done right the first time

I wanted to get some custom exhaust work done on a Mercedes. After a little research, I had quotes from $ 60 – 250. All for a simple job. Willy took to time to have me come in so he can actually see the car (only one other place did that) and give me an accurate quote. It was a quick 10 minute visit and the appointment was set.
When it came time to actually do the work, I couldn’t have asked for more. The work was done quick and efficiently. Definitely top quality work. The quad exhaust tips stayed lined up perfectly. Looking at the car when it’s on the ground, you’d never know how much cutting and welding was done underneath.
Did I mention that it actually cost less than originally expected? Competitive rates and quality work. I’d definitely recommend A&A for any exhaust system needs.

Another muffler shop (Lyons) messed up my exhaust system, and Willy at A&A fixed it up for me just how I asked. My exhaust now fits perfect, and performs very well. Willy does quality work at great prices.

I had brackets that needed to support more weight on a bumper.
The stock brackets were spot welded and fellow forum enthusiasts were warning of broken brackets with extra weight.
I brought the brackets in for a seam weld.
Willy the owner/​operator recommended small plates be welded on.
Willy was right on. He has experience with many off road vehicles.
The fabrication work was solid and the welds were beautiful.
The price for the workmanship was incredible!

Very straight forward guys with excellent service and a boat load of knowledge.
I came here to get one of my exhaust pipes swapped. Not only did I get a great deal on labor, but I learned that they were ALL car junkies too. They are very knowledgeable in the likes of domestics to imports as well as stock to heavily modified and the service that was provided was nothing short of excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again for any exhaust work in the future.
Give them a call, I’m sure you won’t regret it.

I’ve been coming here to have exhausts put on my last 3 trucks. I was just there yesterday getting a Banks exhaust I bought off Amazon installed on my Titan. The owner Willy, is a top notch guy and is a master of all things cars and trucks. Coming here is the shop experience (as a guy) you hope for. He invites you into the shop so you can stand under your vehicle if you want, ask questions and even lend a hand. He went above and beyond to make sure the installation was as clean and reliable as it could be and it all took only an hour.
If you have any exhaust/​muffler needs I would look nowhere else and come here! I live 40 miles from here but will not go anywhere else for exhaust work. This was an easy 5 out of 5 stars for me.
They also do oil changes and other maintenance.

I took my car here to get a new exhaust system installed (Borla True Dual kit for the 350z) and could not be happier with the results, Bob (The owner), even let me check over the work he had done, I mentioned if he could tack weld a few spots of the exhaust to my frame for added rigidity and he did it with no questions asked!
