Many a child has been known to wait all year to come back to Gan Israel! From Preschool camp to our C.I.T. division, campers enjoy a wide range of exciting activities and field trips in a warm and vivacious atmosphere. Camp Gan Israel of Poway is a «one of a kind» Jewish summer & seasonal day camp located in Poway. For kids going into 1^st — 6^th grade and a C.I.T. program for kids in 7^th & 8^th grade. Every day at camp is an exciting adventure with friends, Rabbi Mendy and our attentive, caring counselors. Camp activities include (depending on the season) swimming, exciting field trips, competitions, sports, baking, crafts, Challah braiding, games, sleepovers, singing & so much more.

History

Established in 2009.

Camp Gan Israel Poway opened summer of 2009 with 2 counselors and 13 campers. With hard work, dedication and word of mouth advertisement Camp Gan Israel now serves over 50 campers each summer with a strong staff of local and imported staff from all over the world!

Bluma R.

Manager

As a young girl Bluma Rubenfeld spent 8 weeks every summer at Camp Gan Israel of Huntington Beach. «My camp memories are the highlight of my childhood.» Eager to provide an equally positive and memorable experience for Jewish children, Bluma, along with her husband (Rabbi)Mendy founded Camp Gan Israel of Poway. Bluma is very passionate about summer camp and hopes to change childrens lives for the better through the love and care and attention given to each camper. When she is not mothering her 5 children or teaching Judaic Studies at Chai Preschool or directing the Poway Hebrew School, Bluma enjoys hosting guests for Shabbat dinners at her home and thinking about how she can make the world a better place.
