I called ahead to make an appointment after doing a google search for smog check places in Poway. I dropped off my car because I did not want to wait. I had missed a call, and when I called the # back it was a cell phone the guy from the smog check told be they had an issue with my car. I was on m y way, but baffled because my vehicle a 2008 Honda Accord has always been very well maintained. When I arrive the man who does the checks had my car up & his book open to a FGR valve that he stated my vehicle was missing. I recently had my Honda serviced at the Honda service center less, than 1 block from where I was at that moment. I call my guy Mike at Poway Honda, and drive over immediately. Mike at Honda service told me that my vehicle does not come with a FGR valve & the smog guy is wrong. I call the smog place, and ask him to please call Mike at Honda service, so we can clarify the situation. I would assume he never followed through because Mike told me he would call me back after he spoke to the smog guy. All a huge waste of my time, and I never was able to get a smog check. I am very disappointed.

This is probably the second or third time I’ve been to this Smog Station and I come back every year. They’re always really nice and if you make an appointment ahead of time, they’ll always make sure you’re in and out within 15 minutes. The price is really not that bad either since they give you a discount if you check-​in and write a review!

I didn’t think a smog check could go so seamlessly and quickly as it did here! I came right when they opened on a Sunday morning and there was no wait. I went into a nearby store for about 10 minutes, came back and my car was ready!
They’re located in the Mobile gas station on Midland and Community (in Poway).
I checked in via Unilocal and scored on $ 12 off — YAH! So glad I chose this place!

This is my 3rd time coming to Star Station Smog Check in Poway. You always hate when the DMV Renewal arrives in the mail to discover it is time for a Smog Test. These guys make it very easy, fast, and fair price. Today, like my other two visits, I was greeted with a smile when I walked in and they immediately started my paper work while another team member asked for my keys so he can drive our car into the garage to get the Smog Test going. They are all very friendly. Highly recommend Star Station Smog.

My old favorite smog test station has closed since my last test, and I needed a current smog test badly (procrastinated quite a bit this go-​round), and these guys were conveniently open on Sunday (yay), and no waiting at all.
I was in and out in about 10 minutes with a passing grade, and they even have a Unilocal deal for12 bucks off the normal test price, as long as you check in during your visit.
Highly recommended if you are within range of these guys, class act as far as my experience goes.
