Specialties

Cyndi Shattuck is a trained professional photographer (BFA in Photography), photo editor and art director with 10 years experience in the news business and 25+ years experience shooting film and digital cameras.

Her darkroom and studio photography experience-working with everything from Polaroids to 8″ x 10″ negatives-helps her understand the needs of every client’s varied archive.

Her parents are professional bookbinders in Princeton, NJ and she grew up as their apprentice learning about handmade book construction, restoration and specialty binding.

Cyndi evaluates each project with her clients on a one-to-one basis determining the best way to preserve your collection based on your budget, display needs, deadline and storage space.

Her resume includes work with The Wall Street Journal, fashion companies, celebrities, visual artists, WWII Nuremberg Trial memorabilia, memoirs, genealogies, private recipe collections, private run books, and countless old crumbling albums!

History

Established in 2004.

Originally, the business was based on the needs of professional photography clients who often asked Cyndi what to do with closets and boxes full of old photos and albums. She decided to incorporate her skills in restoration, conservation and organization into a new business that would encompass these projects and bring photos and documents «out of the boxes» and into the hands of clients so they could enjoy their memories again.
