Driver’s Edge

I have been here before for an inspection and the workers were very friendly. I’m writing today to say how this place will be my future car servicing place. I had a full day planned, went to start my car and it didn’t start. I called the dealership and they wanted me to tow my car from Prosper to Plano. I had no one to jump the car so I called Driver’s Edge to see if they knew what the problem would be. Wayne came out to my home and jumped started my car. I didn’t expect for this service but these guys will go above and beyond to help out their customers. It’s only the battery so I saved a fortune from towing and dealing with the dealership. I recommend Driver’s Edge!

This place was really wonderful. We drove all the way from Columbus, OH to Prosper to visit family, and needed to have my car looked at for a minor problem. Juan went above and beyond to help us. He was able to get our car looked at and evaluated in the same day, even though they were busy, knowing that we had a quick turn around to head back home. He explained everything so well, and never made me feel like I didn’t need to know what was going on like some other car shops do. He was honest, kind, professional, and thorough. He really made sure I was aware of what was happening, did everything he could to fix it, and did a wonderful job. I will absolutely be going back there if I ever need my car repaired here in Prosper again. If only we had this kind of service where I live :).

We are also new to the area and living in a neighborhood with lots of construction which means debris which leads to FLAT TIRES. These guys came to my house, took the tire to their shop, fixed it and brought it back to me good as new. I also got a follow up phone call to make sure everything worked out ok. SUCH GREAT SERVICE. I don’t usually post on Unilocal but today I am because I had an awesome experience at this place. Amazing customer service from Kevin. In for an oil change and tire rotation. He was honest about the wait time. He also accepted a competitors coupon which was nice. who does want to save some money. the thing this place is needing is a baby changing station. everything else is great. they are differently not lacking on customer service!

Horrible. Awful experience. Wait was an hour and half for oil change. Charged $ 81.93 for JUST the oil change. And dude tried to convince me that it’s good for people to use whichever bathroom they want. Ughhhhh!!! Never ever going there again!

Being new to the area you are always concerned about finding an honest mechanic to work on your car. The guys at Drivers Edge are great. Honest and friendly and not looking to gouge you. Highly recommend Drivers Edge. Thanks Juan and crew again!

I was highly impressed by their service. I came in because my car was shaking at higher speeds. The manager was very welcoming and kind. They found out the problem and didn’t charge me a thing for inspecting it because it was a tire problem. Still, the manager was very honest and I would be glad to go back if my car needed it, even if there were closer shops to me.

Driver’s Edge came to the rescue! I had my truck towed to the Prosper location and they were very welcoming, friendly and eager to assist. I received several updates about the status of my vehicle from the General Manager himself. He took the time to explain my extensive vehicle situation in detail and answered all of my questions. These guys are extremely professional, knowledgeable, reasonable and polite. They even shuttled me from my residence to their location to pick up my vehicle! I have found a new long term mechanic. I am new to Prosper, and Texas in general. Just moved here from Memphis not too long ago. This is my first experience with any type of auto shop here. This morning I realized I had a nail in my tire and my tire was nearly flat. So I found this place on Unilocal and dropped my vehicle off. Not only is the place very clean and nice looking, but the manager showed ultimate customer service. He went way above and beyond to help me because I wasn’t able to pick up my truck before closing. My family and myself will only be using Driver’s Edge from now on for ALL vehicle needs. And I will encourage anyone I know or run into to use these folks too. Thank you again to the manager. You never know what is going on in people’s lives, and the small good deeds today really helped me out.

The employees are very very kind. From what I’ve seen, they’re extremely knowledgeable in their trade.
Not only that, but some of them seem to be enthusiastic about telling their customers what’s wrong with their car and exactly what they can do to fix it.

The repairs are done timely and at a great price. The employees really seem to care, explain all the work done and even show your the parts etc. I would recommend them to my friends.

Quick turnaround time and Good Service.

Went in with my oil change coupon: $ 19.95 because this place was convenient, and I needed an oil change. Upon inspecting the car as part of their maintenance inspection, they recommended I change the air filter and cabin air filter. They showed them to me, and I agreed ($ 45 & $ 20). Then the Justin Beiber-​like service advisor pointed out that the brake fluid and power steering fluid were in need of change, and I could see they looked dark. Faux Justin presented this as a bit of a throw-​away item (although he didn’t mention price) and it didn’t sound expensive. Imagine my surprise when it came time to pay my $ 232 bill — — seems those throw-​away items were a total of $ 150. That price may be totally legitimate, but the kind of customer service that would allow these kinds of charges without some kind of heads up is not for me. Good for them; they got an extra $ 200 from me, but never again will I darken their doors. Oh, and they didn’t even vacuum out my car which most oil change places do.

They did a great job. Got me in and out fast and were very friendly. I would give 5 starts but, what I had done was pretty basic. So, I can’t speak to all of their work.

Very good service. Each person I have met there were very friendly and helpful. Went in for oil change and checkup. The work was done fast and priced right. I have previously visited. I called them when my car was leaking oil, I was about a block away from their shop. I walked over as I refused a ride. The guy there gave me free quarts to get my car there as it was bleeding oil bad. I got there and they got everything squared away. Great place great price. I don’t give 5 stars but I would give 4.75 to here.

Very dissatisfied. Way to long for work to be done and then figured out it wasn’t done correctly the first time and had to return for a second time. I’m very familiar with auto repair and the avg person would have never know about the work not being completed correctly. Makes me weary about this new business and I will not return.
