Peachwave Yogurt

I’m not a giant fan of these kinds of places. Usually they’re really dirty/​sticky and the staff are less than friendly because I’m sure they deal with screaming toddlers all day, but Peachwave is a pleasant surprise. I’ve been in here several times with my boyfriend, and honestly, the staff is awesome.
While some of the younger folks who work there (must be high schoolers?) are a little bit awkward, especially with the scripted stuff that Peachwave probably makes them say, everyone that we’ve encountered at the register is more than friendly and has excellent customer service skills. I don’t know if Peachwave is good at pickin’ em or what, but its really refreshing to be at a place where people are genuinely nice. Other Wayland Square establishments would be wise to jump on the nice train (I’m looking at you Teas and Javas!!!)
With that being said, I don’t feel like the yogurt is anything extraordinary, although the cupcake flavor is pretty damned good. I haven’t tried too many flavors because I’ve found a combo that I really like, but next time I’ll have to experiment and report back!!!

The fresh toppings are the best, candy is delicious… low calorie too ;)
I find that I get more toppings than actual ice cream, which is fine because their toppings are ridiculous. The coffee is awesome, as well as the peanut butter, chocolate and vanilla.
A great plus is the price. $ 2.50 for the equivalent of a two-​scoop cone!

I’m not a big sweets lady but I will stop for Peachwave. It’s a much bigger space with, in my opinion, a better layout than places like FroYo World on Thayer. Brighter, cleaner, and an all right selection. I only wish they had more sorbet/​dairy-​free options. The Pineapple is awesome, the Orange was gross, and I haven’t seen any others in their rotation. As far as dairy packed flavors go, I like their Red Velvet, which is strange since I usually hate all things Red Velvet but it has a mild cocoa flavor to it… which is what Red Velvet is SUPPOSED to taste like. I also am a huge fan of the cheesecake & nutella flavors. Their toppings rule too — Froyoworld probably has them beat in quantity but I like the eclectic finds at Peachwave like the mango & strawberry boba, mochi & weird chocolate things (I think one of them is turtle candies which are soooo good). Reasonably priced and they have a loyalty card which is nice if you have a sweet tooth and think you’ll eat enough to get free froyo.
Most of the staff is really awesome — I only had one bad experience and it wasn’t really bad for ME, per se, but she was painful to watch as she seemed to hate being there so much. She’s the exception to the rule though; everyone else has been welcoming, enthusiastic, helpful & smiling.

Now, I’m not a huge frozen yogurt (or even ice cream… or even sweets, for that matter) person, but hot damn do I love Peachwave! The space is clean and bright, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the flavors are fun and wide-​ranging.
Right when we walked in, we were handed several sample cups so we knew exactly what we were getting. I tried about 5 different flavors before settling on the classic tart, which was pleasant and very refreshing. Although the fruit didn’t exactly look amazing, I was impressed with the variety and freshness of it.
My husband went for a peanut butter/​chocolate combo, topped with mini peanut butter cup candies and I have to say, it was totally delicious — h definitely won in the selection department. You serve yourself and pay by weight, but know this: the yogurt comes out fast, and the cups they offer are humongous, so think about how much you want before you start the pouring process.
We happily ate our frozen treats as we walked all the way home on a hot, sunny day. It was pure bliss, and I look forward to indulging again very soon!

Decent yogurt flavors excellent array of toppings. They even have whipped cream! But they seriously need to have proper mochi and marshmallows. Both were too hard and nearly ruined the experience. In my mind, an excellent froyo place should have decent mochi. Definitely worth checking it out though.

So maybe I’m a bit picky with my ice cream places but this place is just-​okay. Their flavor choices are pretty good (and tasty, i might add!) but their additions have issues. The fruit tends to be frozen and you can tell it’s not fresh. So again, maybe i’m a bit picky but oh well. The first time i went with a friend, we hung out inside — there is a huge TV and it was playing House MD, strange choice for an ice cream place. But ok. Their magazine choices were also odd — dating back to January 2014. Not sure what that was about.
So I guess next time I go, i’ll pick only a few pieces of fruit and i’ll stay outdoors!

A solid new addition to Wayland Square, and definitely my favorite frozen yogurt place I have tried in Providence. Others seem to be messy and overrun with people (getting froyo on Thayer right after the area high schools get out — no thanks!). But Peach Wave is spotlessly clean, and has a much more relaxed atmosphere. Chalk it up to its more residential location.
They have 14 flavors of frozen yogurt each day, and all of them are delicious. Upon entering the shop, we were greeted by the person behind the counter, who offered us sample cups so that we could taste the flavors. The frozen yogurt tasted a little different than others I’ve had, but in a good way– healthier, if that makes any sense. Maybe more yogurt-​y and less sugary. Anyway, between trying a couple of flavors and the ones I eventually chose, I got to taste the Nutella, maple, caramel, cupcake, and cookies and cream, and all were great. The toppings here are pretty standard– everything from crushed cookies and candy bars to fruit.
In terms of seating, the layout is pretty cool and they have a lot of options, from small tables for groups to several counters. There is also a nice patio outside, which will be great in summer.

I am so glad Peachwave opened in Wayland Square. This is a fantastic little self-​serve yogurt shop with a family-​owned feel.
The yogurt itself is on the creamy side, so I would say it’s more comparable to Red Mango than Pinkberry. But there are 14 flavors daily, a host of yummy toppings, extremely fresh and cleanly cut fruit, and all your typically and wonderfully Asian treats – popping boba and mochi included.
Mostly, I just love the hospitality of this place. It’s a great spot to meet up w/​friends in the Square, enjoy an afternoon chat, and have some great yogurt. Definitely a fabulous fabulous addition to my homey neighborhood. More yogurt please!

Tasty options, very clean and a gracious host who offered my daughter a top-​off when she was running low! Very nice. And not crazy pricy.

Great addition to Wayland Square! I have been eagarly awaiting for it’s arrival, and when I went yesterday it did not dissapoint! Lots of great flavors to choose from and lots of toppings (it is a DIY type yogurt place). I have been to another Peachwave and for some reason Peachwave in general has better frozen yogurt then it’s peers. Stop by and check it out! I know I will definitely be a regular there…
