This shop was a decent surprise. It’s kind of annoying that they eye you around the entire store making sure you’re not stealing shit but once you get past that there are some good finds if you’re willing to search. I try to use sulfate-free, paraben-free hair products. This store actually had a section of shampoos, conditioners, and even cleansing conditioners that fit the bill. I found a few CurlMart-approved brands. This stuff was among a large section for Black women who wear their hair curly. As I wandered around, I also found other natural stuff that’s hard to find downtown such as African black soap and containers of pure shea butter(including some marked organic!) If you live Downtown and need clean shampoos, don’t overlook this shop.

Ive been going to this place off and on for about 10 years. It looks a little sketchy from the outside so if you are not looking or easily freaked out you will probably just pass it by. The inside is COMPLETELY different! Its bright and the shelves are always stocked. The people that work there are polite and will ask if you need help finding things. They have a good selection of all types of products. Makeup, skin care, hair products, accessories, wigs… everything! Downside? The sketchy exterior and they close too early for me to stop by on work days :(

Who knew? Covered windows, hodge lodge of beauty supply hoarding and then the wig section– gorgeous human hair for any occasion and style! My new favorite find.
