Wags To Riches

Had used a groomer in Marina for years and others on occasion. Moved back to Prunedale this past May and went to Wags to Riches. I am a last minute person who wants to get something done whenever my constantly changing schedule allows. Kimiko gets me in quickly and always seems excited to see my 2 crazy Pomeranians, Bear and Zoe. We dog owners love to feel our dogs are adored by others! My pups always come out beautiful and extremely well brushed out. I also feel undercharged to the point I feel we need to have a discussion, but I just tip her more! Conflicted in sharing info on this business, a well kept secret, but they deserve a try. Less expensive than any other groomer I have used, and much more personal than some. Give them a call!!!

Just got my baby Bella back from the wonderful staff at Wags to Riches. I am highly impressed with the quality of their work, friendliness of the staff, willingness to accommodate, and PRICES! Way better than PetSmart grooming on all levels! Not only was one of the women here willing to stay after hours to meet with Bella and me yesterday, but she also followed my recommendations when it came to her nails (Bella’s a little weirdo and her quick grows almost all the way through her nail, which causes a lot of pain way before it bleeds). She also looked her over to tell me how she would approach grooming her. Bella tends to be a very skittish, scared doggy, with high anxiety due to way too many vet visits. I wanted her to be able to see the shop and meet the person she was going to have an appointment with today.
Overall the shop is tiny with about 3 work stations but it’s very nice and clean with a welcoming atmosphere. I liked that it was small, that way they will only do a few dogs at a time so you know they are getting some personalized attention and not put in a tiny cage in the back room. Bella looked and smelled wonderful and after the state I took her in, it was impressive! She is a shih-​poo with lots of fine hair that mats super easily. Poor baby was all matted up and and pretty stinky. #1)They were able to de-​tangled her without having to shave her! #2)They ground her nails, every time I’ve had her groomed elsewhere her nails are super sharp. And #3)they were able to shave her belly butt and face so close to her delicate pink skin without a single scratch or razor burn! Thanks to Wags to Riches I got my little poof ball back! Love these ladies! So glad they are right around the corner.

I hesitate to write this review because I feel like Cayla and Linda are my best kept secret and I don’t want it getting out! But after trying groomer after groomer in NYC where I used to live, and in the Bay Area where I now live, I happily drive 1.5 hours to bring my Beagle to Wags to Riches whenever I am visiting my family in Prunedale.
First, my dog is nearly 10 years old with a bad back, and I’ve had experiences where she clearly has back pain (or even requires a vet visit and meds – what did they do to her?!) after just getting a bath at other places. Here, the groomers and helpers treat her like one of their own, and she always leaves happy and clean! We have never had a problem after a visit at Wags to Riches.
Second, she hates all grooming facilities and vet offices, and she clearly fears every procedure she receives, yet she LOVES Cayla and actually willingly enters the office, tail wagging! The staff is ALWAYS wonderful with her, which explains it, but I’m shocked every time she happily enters their office. Even when they’re incredibly busy, they take the time to give her some love and make sure she’s comfortable. That sort of service is priceless to me!
Third, her nails grow like crazy and are always out of control. They are the only ones who tame them, time after time, consistently.
Finally – and I also don’t want to write this – but their prices are ridiculously low. Baths starting at $ 20 and going up from there – I’ve had groomers quote me $ 75 for the same service. No joke. Please support them so they stay in business a long, long time! My little beast would be very unhappy without them.

Once again I am VERY happy with this place. My dog looked 3 years younger after she got done getting groomed.

We were very disappointed when this company canceled the appointment that we had made with them only 30 minutes before the scheduled time. For our particular circumstances it was imperative that we had the service done prior traveling. I am not saying not to use this company, however beware that they may cancel on you last minute like they did to us. We called around and luckily another groomer in Prunedale was able to accommodate us last minute.

I took my little Yorkie puppy to Wags to Riches and he came out looking so cute! Hair cut just like I asked for, nails trimmed, coat shinny and soft, and smelling really good. Very friendly ladies who also had good house training advice. I will definitely take him back again.

The BEST dog groomers around. Our dog Cody went in a real mess (we live in the country) and came out a new dog. They are terrific with the dogs. They are kind, gentle and know what they are doing. Give them a try!

We usually take our dogs to Petsmart in Salinas for grooming but Wags To Riches opened up in our hometown recently and we decided to give it a try. Living in Prunedale we are surrounded by the country, which leaves our dogs looking very un-​groomed. We took Princess for a full treatment of nails, fur detangling, flea treatment and bath. She came out looking fabulous from nose to tail! We loved the service and it was well worth the price. She even got cute little bows in her hair! Thinking about taking our other two dogs there as well.
