For a neighborhood wine and spirits store they have a pretty good selection of items. I know that if I need to find an obscure bottle of liquor, this is not the place to go. I have stores in the City I go to for that. Also, the staff is extremely friendly. The best part, they deliver. I believe the minimum is only $ 30.

A varied selection of wines which I was surprised to find in this neck of Brooklyn. Nice to know I don’t have to go to the city to choose a good bottle or two. Thanks, Franju !!

A lovely local gem. As a California native(now three years in Bushwick) I couldn’t stand having to buy wine and liquor at spots where you have to point to what you want from behind bullet-proof plexiglass. Makes you feel like a criminal. Bad enough you can’t just get booze at the supermarket here in NY like in Cali. Finding Franja was a godsend. Nice, warm atmosphere that you can actually WALKINTO and knowledgeable friendly guys working the shop. Frank and his family are real salt-of-the-earth types who know their stuff and stock the shop with very fine choices. Bogle Chardonnay $ 9.99. Same price as Cali. Must have bought 100 bottles of that lovely, buttery stuff in my time here. They just did a nice reno with the storefront and layout too, even cleaner, airier and nice than before. Skip those ghetto shops in the hood and head to Franja. p. s. If you bring in a receipt from Food Bazar(across the street) you get a discount on wines too. So, you get them pretty much tax-free. This place rocks.

Decent selection and price points — from good box wine to Veuve Cliquot for those special occasions. Service is very good, as well.

This is one of the smallest liquor stores I’ve ever been to. They have a pretty limited selection and everything is shelved very close to each other. What small selection they do have to choose from is also a little pricey for Queens. The staff don’t seem to be the friendliest bunch in town, but they do ring up your purchases fairly quickly. Unless you’re really in a hurry, I would suggest going a little further for something with more selection and better prices.

This is really one of the only Liquor stores in walking distance from my house. The prices and wine selection are pretty good, and they carry one of my favorite bottles of vino. I’ve talked to the owner before, and he was very friendly and nice. I said that I appreciate being able to touch the bottles vs. looking at them through Plexiglass. This store is fairly small, but they have lots of good stuff and is worth a look.

Fairly new liquor store in Ridgewood. Located near the borderline of Queens and Brooklyn, near where Ridgewood ends and Bushwick begins. Pretty decent selection of wines and other types of liquors. The plus is that this store stays open a bit longer than other stores on a Sunday. Across the street from the Food Bazaar supermarket. Counter guy was very nice. Wish this business the best of luck.
