Showed a picture, stylist said not a problem. Ended up getting something that was completely wrong in the back, despite specifically saying to leave it long. Either she was awful at her job, or does not understand pictures/basic communication.

At $ 18 a pop, I think they charge too much for what they do. Run the clippers up the sides of your head, and spend about 10 minutes chopping the top. The results are at least consistent and not so disaster prone, but not worth nearly $ 20 without a tip. The Procuts and other cheap chains I’ve been too often offer better cuts for cheaper.

$ 17.99 plus tip to get just the sides of my head faded is kind of steep in my opinion. Great service, super nice people, no complaints about the fade, just a little expensive.

This was the run of the mill budget hair cut place local to me. I stopped in because they had a clear parking lot with the crazy snow we had this winter. This is the same hair cut you would get at super cuts where they rely way too heavily on clippers and can’t do a proper fade. It tends to make every hair cut feel very military like instead of a smooth transition and my girlfriend hated my cut here. I can’t say I like it either as it looks almost like a flat top with how far she faded up the sides. The goal of this place is to pump out volume fast and to that they do well. In fact, they got the OK to close early and they rushed me out so fast I had to remind my barber lady to clipper my neck hair fuzz. It is what you would expect at a chain hair cut place.

Fatma is the best short hair stylist I’ve ever been to! I like my hair short and stop by for a cleanup every 3 to 4 weeks. I have never received a lousy trim from Fatma. Not only is she a great stylist, she’s also a very sweet person! Thanks, Fatma!

I took my 13 year old niece here for a long overdue haircut. She had a wash, cut and blow dry for $ 27.00 that was so good — it could have been done in any fancy salon. A new hire, Tom, took care of my niece. He was beyond meticulous! Perfection! He got a $ 10.00 tip, but honestly he deserved the moon. I get the feeling Tom will not be there for long — he is way too talented. Ask for him — you will not be disappointed. I wish I could upload the photos — she has super long brown hair and she is a talented diver, so she spends lots of time in chlorine. He got rid of all of her dead ends, and gave her a style that could have been from a fancy NYC salon.(I love in NYC, so I have high standards) I went in there expecting much less and was so happy she went to her party last night in style — and it surely didn’t break the bank. I have my person who cuts my hair in NY for a much higher price, but i would trust Tom any day. He is that good.

They do a great job here. Fatma has been cutting our hair for years. The others are super nice too. It’s also very affordable. Right next to Stop & Shop on Newport Ave.

I’ve been going to this place for years. 1st time I went cuz its close to my home and convenient, but ive been coming back because they are all wicked nice and do a greatjob. UUsually Fatima or Mandy does my hair. I went in today and had a fairly new girl Danielle cut my hair. As previously I got a great cut within 20 minutes or so. Danielle did a great job was very talkative and very nice. Cant get better service for $ 16bucks. I recommend it.

I’ve yet to get a bad haircut at this establishment which is conveniently located just off Newport Avenue in Quincy next to Stop and Shop. If you’re looking for ambience and a slick interior design this isn’t the place for you but if you’re like me and looking for a great cut provided by a courteous, knowledgeable and friendly staff look no further! I’ve gotta confess I have my favorite stylists being the fabulous Fatima(she’s very entertaining to chat with!) and upbeat Mandy(always smiling!)! They listen to what you want and in return tell you what they think would work best based on you individual specifics relating to hair texture, facial structure, etc. You’re getting Newbury Street type expertise at a bargain price here… tip generously as they’re well worth it!

Went for a quick cut. Got this lady that I had to explain 3 times how I wanted it cut. Not hard(parted to side use#1 on sides and square on the back) I know look like I got a in a fight with the clippers. She spent the whole time bitching to her two co workers about other co workers. There is no question this lady was on drugs. I had to raise my voice twice to get her out of nodding out. The next day I had to go somewhere else and I know have a friggin wiffle.

You get what you pay for. Usually hit or miss haircuts. I don’t have much hair and it is close to where I live so I keep going back there. Not the cleanest place, but the lady I go to is pretty friendly.

I’ve been looking for a great place to get a hair cut that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. This place doesn’t have all the extras. it’s really just haircuts. And as far as styling goes, they only have blowdryers, but the cut I got was great today! It was the first time I’ve ever really felt like the stylist did what I asked for. My hair looks great!!!

Rude telephone service! While I was researching the internet, I found out that the«Great Cuts» chain was bought by «Hair Cuttery». When I went to the Hair Cuttery website, I could not find this Quincy location on their website, so I called directly. When I called today to inquire about the services and pricing offered at this location, I was treated to a rude stylist named Colleen. The first person to answer the phone did not speak English well and was confused by my question«Is this Great Cuts now a Hair Cuttery, since Hair Cuttery bought Great Cuts?’ Her response was«Yes, we do haircuts.» When I asked to speak to someone else, Colleen picked up the phone and I asked her«What store is this?» She replied«Excuse Me?», so I repeated my question. She immediately hung up. When I called back to find out what happened, I could hear her tell the person that answered the phone to tell me she was too busy to take the call. If you are too busy to help a potential customer over the phone, how helpful will you be when I am in your stylist chair? I do not recommend this shop, but I do recommend SUPERCUTS on Scammel Street. Much nicer over the telephone and in person.

I went here the first time out of desperation — i needed something fast and easy. Ive been back a dozen times since because Fatima did exactly what i asked, and did an excellent job of it. She’ll speak up with advice or suggestions, but never does that thing where you end up with some hairdo that suits the stylist. So now i have a great place for a cut for 15 bucks. How great is that? Really recommend you try this place.

After reading mixed reviews on so many salons in Quincy, I decided to just say the hell with it and go to Great Cuts because it was close to my job and had long hours. I forget the name of the stylist who did my hair but she did a great job. Love how it came out and would definitely go back again.

I’ve been going here for so long I almost forgot to Unilocal it. The hairdressers are all very nice, and some have been there quite awhile. I think that says a lot about a place. Mandy cuts my hair and is the nicest person you can find. She actually listens and gives you what YOU want, not want she wants you to have. I started going there because it’s cheap, keep going because it’s great! Who needs a $ 35 haircut? I’d rather get a $ 15 haircut and give a great big tip!

This is OBVIOUSLY not a «5 star» hair salon. I mean, you could easily miss the entrance and walk into the stop and shop bottle deposit. But when you are stating to look like cousin IT15 bucks for a haircut is fine by me. Ask for Robin. She is a riot. SO friendly, loves her gays, CLEARLY loves her job and does it well after the 22yrs she has been cutting hair.
