History

Established in 1997.

John’s Moving began with a belief that there was a better way to move which would simultaneously benefit the customer, the employees, and the company. After 15 years in the industry with experience from starting and successfully running his first moving company in Maryland to working in sales and management for van line agents, John decided to go full-​time into developing the business plan he had envisioned and started John’s Moving in 1997.

With not much money and a whole lot of ambition, John’s started as a one-​man-​show in the beginning where John was a driver and mover by day and salesperson by night.

Today, we’re based out of our first-​class 21,300 sq ft facility housing both our office and our warehouse storage facilities. We run multiple crews every day with a dedicated fleet of over 18 trucks and trailers. Not only does John no longer go out on crews or estimate moves, but he has largely transitioned out of the day-​to-​day operations which his daughter, Emily, now runs.
