This review is long overdue. For those of you looking to begin the new year with a new look or new hair dresser… look no further! I’ve been coming to Tangles for almost a year and owner operator Lindi has been cutting and coloring my hair. Finding a person who can give a precision cut is hard to find, but I found her and my hair has never looked better! This woman knows hair and her expertise is evident the minute she picks up a pair of scissors! My appointments always begin with a brief consultation about what I want done and her understanding of that. She’s exceeded my expectations from the very first cut and color and I’ve yet to be disappointed! Thank you Lindi for always making my hair look fabulous! You rock!!! Happy New Year.

I found Casey after a year. Reconnecting with her is fabulous. She gave me an awesome short cut. I could not be Happier. This was my first time at this salon. What a pleasant environment. So Glad to have found you Casey.

I love this salon. Linda, the owner — is the best. She is a bit pricey, but worth it. Since I am trying to cut down on expenses, I tried Tasmyn. She is young (and pretty), and she is very talented. I love my cuts and colors from her. Very reasonable price. Overall happy with the salon.

Casey has been doing my hair for a long time in San Diego. She has a very artistic style and keeps me looking young despite my age and white hair! She has an excellent color sense and changes things up to keep it interesting. She’s also great with a short cut and really understands how to texturize mine to keep it spiky and fun.

I fly in from Northern California just to see Lindi — she is the best! What more can I say?

I initially found this salon because I looked for a salon that carries my favorite haircare product line — Eufora. Was so pleased to find that Casey had moved to this salon. She is such a great person and does a fantastic job with my cut and color. When I’m in the mood for a flash wave, I book with Lindi (the owner) and again love the results. Everyone is so helpful and friendly (including the girls at the front desk), the salon has a great ambiance and I am always happy when I leave.

If I could give this a salon 10 STARS I would!!! I have been going to Lindi now for about 2 years and she has ruined me for all other stylists.
When you come in they immediately offer you refreshments and they seem to do all the extras that most salons do not do. When they shampoo your hair they spend at least 5 minutes massaging your scalp and neck. Some salons don’t even wash your hair anymore and Tangles goes the extra mile.
Lindi is so skilled at what she does — she is a professional in the truest sense of the word. When I tell her or show her what I want she is able to recreate it to a tee. And if I am unsure she always figures out something that looks fabulous.
In addition, the salon uses products that are pure and safe! This is one of the most important things for me and it is not something you can find just anywhere.

I’m so happy to find Casey again! She knows how to get my fine, limp hair to look full and stylish. Ever since I started going to her I have always received many compliments on my hair.

I love, love, love Chelsea! I have been seeing her for almost a year now and I am never disappointed. I have never been one to go to the same stylist consistently and have never been back to the same stylist more than once in 15 years. Chelsea changed all of that! She really listens to what you want and makes it happen.

I’ve been going to this salon for about 4 years now and I love it! Honoree is my hair stylist and I wouldn’t see anyone else! Everytime I get my hair cut and colored I get so many compliments on how well done it looks. Honoree really goes the extra mile to make it «just right». She softens the layers just beautifully and she is great with color. It is always a joy to visit and chat with her! This is a small salon, but I really like that about it. All of the stylists chit-​chat with each other and create a «homey» and comfortable atmosphere. Oh! And I cannot forget the complimentary head massage… feels so great!
If you want a quality hair cut and color done, I’m telling you, go to Honoree!

When my barber was closed unexpectedly and I was headed out of town for a business trip I stuck my head in the door and asked if they cut guys hair. They said sure. Jeriel cut my hair and she did an awesome job. That was 4 – 5 months ago and this is now my regular shop. While not a traditional barber shop it is a comfortable space and I highly recommend Jeriel.

For a salon that boasts «excellent customer service» in their phone greeting, the customer service is shockingly terrible. The way the owner, Lindi Chadwick, treated me has been (in the words of one of her own stylists), completely unacceptable.
I got my first keratin treatment done April 24^th with Jeriel, who was sweet, but her inexperience showed when she burned my scalp with the blow dryer and tore my hair with the brush. The keratin treatment didn’t take, and my hair is at best 10% calmer than it was before– definitely not worth the $ 250 that I paid for it, after treatment, tip, and over-​priced hair products (that don’t work well, by the way).
I went in to the salon a couple weeks later on a Saturday to complain, and was told that Lindi was out, but would call me back. Lindi called me back on Tuesday during business hours, so I was unable to answer. I returned the call promptly at 4:30, was told she was with a client, I said no problem, just please have her call me when she can. She didn’t call me back until the following Tuesday, a full week later! And again, during business hours! I returned the call at 4:30, same story she was with a client, I told them to have her call me after 4:30. This continued for another week with her waiting until Tuesday to call me, until I finally answered her call at 4:00 just to get in touch with her. She was sweet, apologetic, listened to my concerns, thanked me for my call, and offered to personally re-​do my hair, no charge. «Finally, the excellent customer service!» I thought. We scheduled it for 2 weeks later (later than I wanted to do it), on a Saturday even though I told her I could do any day and would make it work for the re-​do. I also inquired about doing my wedding with her, I texted her the info asking if it was doable. She said she would look into it. That was the end of the good.
I ended up having a last-​minute baby shower come up, and had to reschedule the re-​do (which I planned to tip for). Not wanting to disrespect her time, I called the Tuesday before (the soonest I could let her know) and asked to reschedule.
That was 2 weeks ago and she never called me back. I texted her asking if she’d gotten any of my messages, regarding the re-​do or the wedding, and she NEVER responded.
I went in to the salon in person today, tired of this game of her blowing me off. She was out again. The receptionist called her and she answered right away (so clearly she just ignores MY messages) and she said that she didn’t think they’d be able to do my wedding as they’d since booked the time slot! She said some lame line about phones getting crossed and her being unable to get a hold of me, which is RIDICULOUS as my phone is on for work ²⁴⁄₇.
Basically, it was a big «screw you, we don’t need any of your business.»
Talk about quality customer service. It’s a shame because the other ladies are nice, but I can’t fathom supporting that kind of terrible attitude.

This is a high quality salon. Great staff and well trained stylist. Worth the money.

Having just moved to Poway, I read a ton of reviews on Unilocal to help me find a new stylist. I have short hair & it’s hard to find someone who can do short cuts right. In fact, I’m recovering from a bad haircut in another city & I was apprehensive about finding someone who could work with me to fix my hair issues while making it look cute while it grows out enough to completely fix.
I chose Katie at Tangles based on her reviews & I wasn’t disappointed. The only thing I would have preferred was if she could have done a razor cut because it gives softer edges; but overall it is a good cut & I’m completely happy with it. I will definitely be back to see Katie and look forward to her completing the fix on my hair. In the meantime, she is a great listener & is really careful to be sure she understands what the client wants before she starts cutting. She wasn’t upset at all that I asked her to wait to trim my bangs until the haircut was done, so I could decide on the length after seeing how the rest turned out. She also was great about making minor changes after she’d done exactly what I asked for but then I wanted something slightly different.
Another thing I really liked was the Eufora product line they sell at the salon. I actually spent more money on products than on my haircut, but they smell delicious & will last me forever, due to having short hair! I especially appreciate how the shine spray & other 2 products I got to reduce frizz & add control really make my hair manageable but don’t weigh down my hair at all. I can still wash every other day without my hair looking limp or oily. Katie described all of the products and chose the the types that would suit my hair the best to use while working on my hair. She wasn’t pushy at all; I decided to buy the products based on how they felt & performed in my hair.
Another bonus is that they offer free bang trims & neck trims at Tangles, which is awesome for the OCD among us who otherwise butcher our own hair!

I always get my hair done at Tangles with Katie. She’s been doing my hair for a long time now and always does an excellent job! She gives the best massages and styles my hair perfectly every time. I wish she could be there to make my hair look nice every day =)
The salon has a great vibe and everyone is really friendly and are willing and ready to help out with whatever you need. I would definitely recommend it to anyone

I was so gladdened to learn that Olena my Sylist has moved back closer to my work. She is the best, so now I can send all my friends from Pomerado Hospital to her also.
A couple of my co-​workers will be thrilled because I know Olena also speaks Ukrainian and Russian fluently and they love to talk in their home languages.
For me it’s all good and even better now that I don’t have to travel far because Olena has been cutting my hair perfectly for years. Another great addition to the Tangles team!

Just had my hair cut here yesterday, Marina is a master stylist and took the time to really make sure I was comfortable and that my hair came out how I wanted it to.
The place is well set up with a very calming and relaxing atmosphere. I like that they weren’t trying to push me to buy hair products which has been a turn off for me in other salons, plus the full scalp massage along with the shampoo was great!
I will be back!
