I had a problem with my Career package unit. The heat would not come on. It took 30 seconds for Brent to diagnose the problem. He immediately suggested that the rubber tubing from the pressure switch might be clogged. He was absolutely accurate in his assessment of my problem. It took another 5 minutes to unclog the pressure switch tubing and my problem was resolved. I would highly recommend this very knowledgable and honest technician to perform any kind of repair on your heating and cooling systems. Keep up the good work, Brent.

Night shift worker here… has to sleep during the day and when those days are 90 – 100 + degrees, it’s miserable when the AC goes out. Cal Air fitted us in quickly to their schedule, was on time for the appt, diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired just as quick! Brent McCully, owner-​technician, was courteous and kept me well informed on what was going on. I would use them again and, definitely, refer them!

I called Cal-​Air yesterday at 4:30 my air conditioner stopped working and it was 90 degrees in my house they were able to get a service man Brent to my house the next day by 11 am. they charge $ 75 service call which is very reasonable and much to my surprise the actual fix was only $ 15 a loose wire in the attic. I am very happy with the service and the speed from Cal-​Air. I called 7 other business and they either could not come out until the following week or they did not service my area which they advertised they did. I will keep Cal-​Air for all my future heating and air needs. Brent the service guy did a great job his customer service skills are great! Good Job Cal-​Air you have a new life long customer :)

Had the AC go out in our rental home in Rancho Cordova. Renters said it was just blowing air, not cold and not hot. I called Cal-​Air on a Sunday afternoon ready to leave a message, but to my surprise Brent picked up the phone. He was very cordial and easy to talk to, and informed me that he could be at the home at 1030 am the next day. Not «sometime between 8 and 12», but he gave me an actual time. Sure enough at around 1050 I get a call and it’s Brent telling me that he found the problem and it should take @ 20 mins to fix. He told me that the rest of the a/​c unit looked great. His price was very reasonable and my renters and their animals are now cool and very happy. In short:

— Was very open and honest and did not try to upsell me on things I didn’t need.
— Arrived on time with a quick diagnosis and repair.
— Reasonable price.
I will be using Cal-​Air for all my HVAC needs from now on, and I wouldn’t hesitate to refer them to anyone.

Came back from a vacation and of course the AC doesn’t work. Called Brent and he got me scheduled, showed up as scheduled, and based on what I told him, started with what must have been the most obvious to him. Turned out it was a stuck switch, he put some oil on it and it was fixed. The whole thing took maybe 5 minutes. He only ask for a very minor fee which I thought was way too low. I write again because I have used other repair companies and they charge a bunch just to show up and/​or fiddle around doing stuff that doesn’t make sense so they can charge more. Brent appears to know what he is doing, friendly, and very honest.

So, I was out getting family photos done a couple days ago and they were outside. Needless to say it was hot and with a 2 year old it wasn’t exactly fun but gotta keep the wifey happy so I smiled and toughed it out. As we arrived home at around 7:30 pm all I could think about was getting inside in the cool air and relaxing. As I walked in I realized very quickly that would be easier said then done. My house was sweltering hot. It was nearing 90 degrees. I was panicked as my child would never sleep in this heat nor would my wife and I. I did the good handy man hubby thing and went around and did the usual check list of breaker box and fuse checks and found nothing wrong there. It had to be in the unit itself. By now it was after 8. I jumped on Unilocal to do a local AC Repair search and found Cal-​Air was literally 2 minutes from me. I thought it was a long shot but I gave them a call. They answered! I told them my situation and was told they didn’t have any openings until tomorrow. I understood, it was after 8 at night. I then decided to mention I was only two minutes away. The voice on the phone perked up and asked where I was. He then said he would be there in 15 minutes. I was over joyed. I was waiting outside and Cal Air pulled up. I was greeted by a very clean and professionally dressed in full uniform gentlemen named Brent. He smiled and was very kind spoken. He walked in and checked a couple things and went to the unit and very quickly diagnosed my problem. He had the part on his truck and had my ac blowing at it’s usual 59 degrees in no time (he checked it with this awesome laser gun thermometer). The whole time he was working outside in the dark my toddler was talking his head off (so was I) and he was still very kind and never acted annoyed and even went so far as to tell me he enjoyed the on the job chatter. Oh and by the way the price was very reasonable and I was actually pretty surprised given it was late at night. In closing I feel blessed that I found Brent and Cal-​Air and will never call anyone but him for my future heating and air conditioning needs. Thank you so much Brent! You helped me to avoid what would have been a very long and miserably hot night. You have my business for life and I will spread the word.

So I needed someone to service my Air Con System with the summer coming. We had regular servicing, the last time we we were told that we needed some replacement parts. Well I didn’t know for sure, so decided to get Brent to come out and service our system. He was very efficient and punctual, new his stuff and after checking told me that we didn’t need the replacement part. He even showed me the part on his test machine, showing it was working fine. This saved us about $ 200. I will be using him again to service out heating com the fall.

I’ve been working with Brent for the past 3 three years. This year he replaced my dad’s ac motor that broke… great prices and very helpful as usual !!

First off, Brent was extremely helpful over the phone. I felt confident already just from that conversation. He arrived a few minutes early (Unheard of) and was very professional. I even liked that he took pictures of what he saw to show me where the problem was. Pricing was very fair and I will definitely be calling him again if I ever need work done. Highly recommended.
One warning: He only accepts cash or checks… no debit or credit cards. He forgot to mention this to me, but we worked it out.

A/​C Went out and Brent showed up right on time. He had already diagnosed the problem on the phone with me and sure enough when he got here his diagnosis was spot on. I expected to pay about double than what I was charged and he also gave me some great tips on how to have my A/​C run more efficiently.
I already plan on using him again to inspect a A/​C unit on a house we are looking to buy.
I would recommend California Heat and Air to family and friends.

We own a commercial building on midtown with a complicated «zone» heating and air system. We have had a lot of people come out and try to fix different problems over the years and it’s been difficult to find someone who really «got» how the system worked, so we pretty much had to figure it our ourselves. We recently had something we couldn’t fix – one office was always either too cold or too hot – it was really frustrating, so we called around to friends and got Brent’s number. Wow! He figured out what was was wrong in a short time and ordered the part (a dead damper motor) and came back to put it in. We wanted to schedule it when the tenant wasn’t in so they wouldn’t be disturbed – no problem! The whole process took less than an hour total – and our tenant is a happy camper again! Now after 10 years of struggling, we know who to call!

Brent is as good as it gets. I have used him for 8 years and he has been excellent every time and location that i have used him on. If you want someone honest and prompt, this is the place. I would never consider ever calling anyone else.
