Fairfield Inn & Suites Rancho Cordova

As I’m sitting here writing this review, the fire alarm is going off (it is 6:46 am and I have been waiting since 6:41am for it to shut off). But, that is really just the icing on the cake.
When we checked in yesterday, we got to our room and immediately smelled a bad odor, like the rug was cleaned but not dried properly. We decided to leave the fan on while we went to an event nearby. When we got back to our room, the room still smelled. I called the front desk (who was very nice, btw) and she sent the maintenance guy over to see what he could do. He walks in, holding a spray bottle (as if we called for dirty Windows), and looks around as if he doesn’t smell anything. He starts to say how housekeeping didn’t shampoo the rug yesterday so he doesn’t know what we’re smelling. Really? You walk in here w/​blood shot eyes and because we may have woke you up from your nap, you don’t smell anything? Wow.
I can’t even believe this «hotel» is part of Marriott. It feels more like a Motel 6. Which is funny because when was placing my items on the desk, there was a Motel 6 key sitting there.
Housekeeping gals just came in trying to fix the issue of the alarm. No luck. Poor girls are put in a position that I’m sure isn’t in their job description. Front desk lady also came in to help. Such nice staff. Just not the greatest establishment. I wouldn’t stay here again.

My then fiancé and I were looking at reserving rooms for our upcoming wedding guests. With our venue about 5 to 8 minutes away I called several places and left messages for their sales departments. Mirinda with Fairfield Inn was not only quick to respond but ended up being the only one in the area to respond. We were given very good rates and they even managed to get almost our entire group on 1 floor, the rest on the next floor which was extremely helpful. I’ve dealt with enough hotels who have «tried» to keep parties together and we just ended up all over the place but not here. The rooms were nice, clean and service was excellent. I also noticed they had another event there the same weekend, possibly a softball team and they dealt with both groups easily. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was pretty standard with plenty of options.

Used the Conference rooms for a two day training, the staff were very awesome! The facility was clean and fresh, they accommodated all my needs and provided the attendees with breakfast, all day coffee and water service. I will use and highly recommend their conference room. We sat 30 attendees in u shape.

We drove from Burbank 3am to Sacramento 9am for a funeral at 11am & got the BEST Service ever from the beautiful front desk clerk ‘KAT’.
She was nice enough to check us in at 9am so we could freshen up before the Funeral and just a pleasure to deal with.
She also let us enjoy the complementary breakfast which was good. Thanks again for making our stay amazing. It’s the little thinks that makes a difference.

Nice hotel and good value for money except for the $ 75 they charge for a small dog. Really? This is just a profit making fee not a fair charge for a pet overnight. Any pet damage is an insurable risk and shifting that cost may be OK but make it reflect the actual cost. Greed is not nice. Otherwise a very sound choice for accommodations although the never changing breakfast buffet can be dull.

Not bad for the price, $ 80 per night with State rate. It was easily accessible from the freeway, plenty of parking, and nice décor. Everything you need for a pleasant night’s stay in the middle of nowhere.
We came here for Unilocal’s Halloween bash, and searched on Unilocal for nearby hotels. There are quite a few in Rancho Cordova. Nice breakfast with pleasant staff. The lobby area is warm and welcoming. One of the managers told me they remodeled this hotel to make it look more cabin-​like, as guests are usually heading up to ski resorts. I can totally see that after staying here.
We left the next day and forgot our Nalgenes in the fridge. I called the front desk to advise we’re coming back. The thoughtful lady kept our Nalgenes wrapped in a clean plastic bag and handed me some bottled waters to take for the road. Talk about great customer service!
We will definitely be back when we visit again — highly recommended.

I had occasion to stay in Rancho because I was hosting a party at the neighboring Cordova Casino. The Fairfield Inn met my basic needs for a hotel, but I can’t say there was anything exceptional to push my review above an average rating.
If you do need to be in Rancho for any reason, wether it be the casino, a visit to nearby city hall or otherwise, the Fairfield Inn is in a convenient location. It’s right off the freeway and close to all of the above.
Checking in was quick and painless and I liked the fact that they was a little snack station near the front. My king room on the fourth floor was clean and included a fold out couch if I had extra guests. They were stocked with the usual soaps and lotions, but I was bummed they didn’t include a water as hotels so often do these days. The biggest downside was noise while I was sleeping. Twice during the night some loud neighbors were yelling in the hall. I almost overslept making up for the interruptions.
Besides that random mishap, I would stay here again if the occasion required. The cost was affordable at $ 90, and they give discounts to those who are visiting the Casino.

The AC didn’t work my room had a funny smell but overall I guess it was OK but the elevators in the hallways smell like brake fluid or lack there of been electrical fire the rooms were nice but I’m funny when it comes the smells and I want my air-​conditioner work and for my hotel room to be cold and not warm and moist

The front desk staff was very friendly and offered us a little gift bag for being a rewards member. They offered us tea and coffee and they were very nice. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The breakfast was ok, but no bacon, sausage or things of that sort. They did have eggs though. The biscuit and gravy… not so good. Waffles were good. The breakfast host was nice enough to to make some more waffle mix even though they were ending breakfast in a few minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

First bad experience at a Marriott:(
Within a few minutes of lights out and laying down I felt something crawl onto the top of my ear. Flipped on the light and turns out it was some sort of bug. Squished but still squirming. Found a second bug hanging out in the curtains after google searching «bed bugs» and stressing out. Notified the front desk and they initially told us they were fully booked and couldn’t move us. Front desk made some calls and got us into a room on another floor and offers us $ 10 off our stay. (which we just asked for a clean room free of insects) Wife goes down to check it out as all of our kids are asleep… water in the bathtub with floating bugs, towels on top of counter, dirty bedding, food on pullout tables. (not a clean room) Wife then proceeds to notify front desk we’d like to checkout and requested a refund. Packed up the sleeping kids and carried them to the car, drove to Marriott up the road but they were fully booked. We ended up driving back to San Francisco as it was by then 11:30pm and the kids were out.
Wife and I have since canceled our reservation for the end of the month at another Fairfield Marriott in Anaheim for a week long stay.
Check your sheets? *also of interest… man with full sized dog headed up on the elevator to his room as I shuttled kids to the car… so I guess on the upside if you are a dog person. the hotel is pet friendly.

I had my mother’s repast at a meeting room at the Fairfield Inn. Mirinda was my contact person and she and the staff at Fairfield Inn was very nice and accommodating. They provided the event with complementary water, tea and coffee. They also picked up food for me from a nearby supermarket. They let us use their refrigerator and storage. They also allowed us to set up the room early in the morning. The room was reasonably priced and I had it for a long period of time. I had family from out of state that stayed at the hotel during the funeral services. They stated the rooms were clean and the staff was nice. Thank You Fairfield Inn!

First off let me start by saying I would give them zero stars if it was possible. My stay here has been one of the worst vacations of my life. I ended up having to leave in a rush and ended up going to the emergency room back in Los Angeles which is where I live and as a result of that I left a dress there and my mother-​in-​law had left her sweater there. When I realized that I had left some clothing there I decided to call within the 30 day period and luckily they SAID it was still there so I felt some relief. Sooo. .. . Apparently my clothing items had been logged in their lost and found but somehow they ARE NOT in their lost in found. I have been calling them numerous times talking to several different employees that work there. At one point I was told my items had been mailed out to me ??? Then I was told that when JANET (the person who found my clothes and logged them into their lost and found) came back to work she would call me. .. Well she didn’t and I had to call and speak to her (this just shows how seriously they are handling this situation) she said she put my clothes in their lost and found and now the clothing just seemed to disappear. I eventually got a call from their manager KATHLEEN and have been playing phone tag with her and still have not got a call back. She told me they had a staff meeting about this and I still don’t have my dress. If it was put in lost in found and is not there anymore then SOMEONE STOLE IT!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! unless you like dealing with DISHONEST and INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES. I worked very hard to buy that dress from Nordstrom to wear to a wedding and now it is gone. Hopefully the staff member that stole my dress is enjoying it because I sure am not. I will be contacting corporate and the police to file a report about the INN.
UPDATE: I received a call from the manager and someone had misplaced the dress and put it in a bag somewhere. .. They will be mailing it to me but the other clothing article is still missing. I am happy I am getting my dress back but this process was so drawn out and confusing I hope no one has to go through this.

The hotel is clean and service at the front desk is friendly but the 3^rd floor smells like smoke. I have a room with 2 double beds and it’s actually really large. A/​C works very well in my room and the beds are medium-​firm with lots of pillows, which I love.

The walls are made of paper. The neighbor took a late shower and woke up my whole family.

Do not stay! Very nice Hyatt Place right next door for same price,
Staff is rude. Management not any better. Pool /​spa gross overrun with insect infestation. Tried twice first ok second not good at all. Residence inn next door better choice too! Free breakfast not worth dealing with staff

Damn, I’m impressed!
For $ 56 a night (with my AAA discount), I wasn’t expecting much. But this place turned out to be pretty classy. First of all, the furniture and general décor felt brand new. They must take very good care of it because I doubt that it is brand new. Second, my room was HUGE!!! It came with great amenities including flat screen tv, free wifi (with decent speed), mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker. My king size bed was COMFY.
Because I was without a car and didn’t know the area too well, I was worried what would happen if I got hungry late at night. Even though I came prepared with a spare Subway sandwich, I was happy to learn that they had a 24 hour snack shop by the lobby.
The free breakfast was pretty impressive. I stuck to the oatmeal bar with fruit and nut toppings, toasted bagel or english muffin with PB & J. But they also had various muffins, danishes, fruit juices, coffee, tea, cereal, and fresh fruit.
Super friendly staff. I was absolutely pleased with the accommodations here and I would absolutely stay here again!

Thirteen miles east of Sacramento, this Fairfield Inn is in the City of Rancho Cordova, right by exit 17 of US-​50. Across the freeway is a large shopping square anchored by Target, Walmart, Safeway, and multiple Starbucks.
I booked it for a one-​night stay during a road trip to upper California (Lassen, then Shasta), because of its advanced-​purchase rate.
A king-​bed studio has a separate sitting area and two flat-​screen TVs. There are a few touches that make you feel a little «souped-​up» staying here: external speakers with TV, cordless phone, and dimmable recessed lighting. Fridge and microwave are dorm-​like, however.
Usually the ground floor is not the most desirable, but maybe because it’s also the lobby level, our room has high ceiling, about 10 feet, which is nice. Comfy bed, fluffy pillows, good sleep.
If you ever see the pictures on Marriott’s Fairfield Inn site, the breakfast fare is pretty faithful to that. Boiled eggs, waffle maker, pre-​made biscuit sandwiches (you heat them up in the microwave), pastries, bagels…, the usual. Breakfast delivers exactly what it promises.
Although Fairfield is category 1 in Marriott’s tier, it seems better than that — a good stay.

For the most part, I enjoy my stay here. The internet has been speeding up a bit lately. Early on it was slow. The beds are comfortable. The TV is decent. There’s no HD programming but it is an LCD TV. Their free breakfast isn’t bad. I like eating their grapefruit cups. And the girls are the front desk are always nice and check in is quick.
The only things I didn’t like, which only happened twice on separate occassions out of at least five visits, is that once, I found the toilet was still stained. Another time, I found a wet hand towel in the bath tub.
Other than that, this place has been great.

I randomly found this hotel on Orbitz because it was the cheapest at $ 52.99 per night. Last time I use Orbitz. Hotel website was only a couple bucks more per night. Dealing with Orbitz customer service sucks! Anyway, back to the hotel. I was sooo happy with this place. It’s smoke free (HUGE bonus) and clean from the moment you walk in the front door until you reach your room.
I stayed here for 4 days and every member of the staff I encountered was super nice and more than helpful. They were also quite responsive which is another bonus.
The beds are more than comfy and each bed comes with at least 5 pillows. I like comfort and I would definitely stay here again if I had a reason to be in the area. They serve an ok complimentary breakfast in the dining area from 6−9am M-​F and 7 – 10 on the weekends. Waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, fruits, fresh oatmeal, some refrigerated quiches and Jimmy Dean breafast sandwiches in a little fridge off the side.
Back to the room for a sec. SUPER QUIET! I chose the second floor and given that’s it’s right off the 50, you can’t hear a peep! I loved it! If you want a staycation, I’d definitely stay here. It’s affordable and quiet! They have a little hot whirlpool out back next to the pool. Everyone we met was nice and helpful.
There are a ton of hotels in this area, next door and across the street. They probably all have great perks, but I would recommend this place for families and those looking for a nice, quiet and comfortable to stay.
Checking out is super easy. It is at noon, but extending it is not a problem. Rooms come with a nice flat screen and 3 Showtime Movie Channels.
