Stanley Steemer of Rancho Cordova, CA

I used Stanley Steamer for the first time yesterday and am very disappointed. The carpets look better than before but not really clean. Traffic areas are still soiled & puppy spots are still showing. I know our regular carpet cleaners can get these out. I was trying to save money & thought Stanley Steamer had a good reputation. I’ve learned my lesson, will never call this company again & will only have C&G clean my carpets cause I know they’ll do it right!

Have just received excellent service. My carpets are white and very hard to keep clean. I highly recommend this company for light colored carpet. Thanks again!

I have used this company for my business and my home. But, I have say that this is the last time I will use this company. I have used this company to clean the carpets in my business a few times, and thought I would give them a try at my home. Bad idea. An item came up missing from my home after they completed the job. It was a small item, but it was missing none the less. I tried to recover the item, but no luck on that. I thought that maybe it was the particular crew. So, I thought I would try again. Well, moved all of my furniture and had the area ready to be cleaned. The service tech showed up and says he can do the job because he does not want to risk getting fired.
I explained to him that the last crew was able to get the job done using the same available space and he stated, «yeah, that was them. I am not going to get fired over a job. Sorry Bro.»
Are you kidding me??? «Sorry Bro» Is that how you really speak to customers? This will be the last time I will ever use them for my home or business.
I ended up calling Coit. Explained what happened and they were able to schedule somebody to come by a couple of hours later.
I would not recommend using this company due to their business practices and lack of professionalism. I have yet to hear from a manager in regards to the complaint that I registered. Do no use this company.

Randall your technician worked so hard! He scrubbed and scrubbed my carpets and I decided to add a little tile as well. That was even more effort on his part. He applied cleanser, scrubbed each tile with a brush, then completely removed the dirt and rinsed it with water. The floors look brand new! I am thrilled with the service, I recommend Stanley steemer!

I continue to use Stanley Steemer and all the techs have been very helpful and professional.

The worker who came to our home did an excellent job cleaning our tile and grout and applying the color-​fill. Our kitchen floor looks GREAT now, and we were also pleased with how quickly the work was done. Thank you!

Matt and Pedro came in and did and excellent job. The boss name was Randy he made sure my standards was Met. It was all about excellent customer service with Randy Matt and Pedro. I will call them again Thank You Stanley Steemer 4^th time around getting my carpet clean.

I’ve used Stanley steemer multiple times in the past with general satisfaction. This time the work was ok but the overall experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
I was scheduled for carpet and tile cleaning. It was a pretty big job, and I was first a bit concerned when only 1 technician showed up. In the past it was always 2 or 3. Also before he even started the job he started up selling wanting to clean furniture and other rooms.
The carpet part went ok. One area didn’t look great but with a dog and toddler it wasn’t great to start with. Lol
Then we got to the tile. I have my tile regularly cleaned and sealed to prevent stained grout. The technician said the clear seal was pointless as I had some discoloration in high traffic area. (This was true) At first I was hesitant but he demonstrated a colored seal that he repeatedly told myself and my husband had a 8 year warranty of no discoloration or staining. I confirmed it needed no maintenance and he said I just had to occasionally mop the floor.
I guess it should have been a warning sign that he couldn’t quote me a revised price when we decided to go with the colored seal. It seemed like every time we checked in with him while He was working the price increased. However, we kept telling ourselves «it’s warrantied for 8 years…»
Granted he worked hard. My 8 am appointment ended at 4 pm. I’ll admit this was a major
Inconvenience but I was the one that added services. Then when we went to pay we asked for a written copy of the warranty. We were told there wasn’t a written copy. Also the price had gotten pretty high. I’m embarrassed to say how high. We had the technician call his manager regarding the warranty but the technician refused to let us speak directly with the manager. Then they started throwing out all sorts of changes to the warranty. Suddenly it was 5 years, then 7 – 8, then it excluded wear. (It’s a floor, we walk on it…). We were told a manager would call us monday and no one ever followed up. This made us wonder if Stanley steemer even offers this warranty or if our technician made it up.
Also the technician damaged walls in 3 places in our house (wear down to metal flashing and damaged baseboards on wall corners from pulling the hoses around corners). We were told someone would follow up with us regarding this as well, and again we have received no communication.
I think I will be looking for a new company next time.

After writing my original review on Unilocal,I was contacted by the company and asked what would change my mind. They agreed to come back out and check the job that was done, and when they did, they did treat the areas of concern again at no charge. It definitely made a difference and I am glad they followed up. I am adding a follow up review since they did end up backing up their service and it did help!

I wasn’t pleased with the man who «cleaned» my carpets. I wasn’t pleased with the job that was done. He managed to clean a difficult corner, and that pleased me. He let the rest of the job go.
I have a company that did a much MUCH better job for half the price. I will call them next time.

Recently Steve of Stanley Steemer cleaned my carpets and my shower tile. He was personable, professional and did an awesome job. We have used Stanley Steemer for years and we’ve always had good results.

The last 2 times, it’s just been 1 person and they take forever!!! Also this last guy broke one of my vases, I know accidents happen but he didn’t even apologize!!!

The guys came out did an awesome job! I had forgotten how pretty my travertine floors looked and what color the grout was, they were so dirty! Looks like new now! The gentlemen that came to my home were on time, polite, and got the job done quickly but with great results! Great service!

Just used this service, and I would NOT hire them again! They did a fast lousy job so I complained and two days later a very surly man came out to do the job again and my carpet still doesn’t look great. Stanley Steemer may have once been a great company, but they just don’t seem to care.

They did a amazing job on my carpet’s and couches. I thought my couches were beyond help but they made them look brand new. My floors look great also. The guys that came to do the work were very friendly. I would definitely recommend them.

I had Stanley Steemer clean the tile and grout in my kitchen, family room and guest bathroom. Thomas did a very good job. I’m pleased with the results.

Had Stanley Steemer come out and do 7 rooms and stairs prior to our move. They did an amazing job. Andrew webber was our cleaner and he was very thorough with doing all the rooms and stairs. Even advised using the deodorizer for our pet room without being pushy. Excellent service and excellent prices. Thank you.

We had SS clean the carpets in my 90 year old parents’ home, something that hadn’t been done for quite a while, and the carpets suffered the brunt of spills and other indignities. I was amazed at the final clean condition… I didn’t think all those stains would go away. There were two small stains they couldn’t get out, and that seemed to concern the crew greatly… they gave it their best effort, but sometimes things are permanent. Thanks again for a great effort with a very good result.

I had them come out and clean my carpet in my living room and my daughter’s bedroom. They damaged a bookshelf that they decided to put on lifts with all of the books still on it and pulled up the carpet in one corner. They did not even let me know about the damage, I had to find it myself. I will not be using them again! I have had other companies come out to clean the carpets that were much cheaper and did just as good of a job without damaging my house.

Great workers, great cleaning job. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything and very courteous. Signed up for the yearly service so I will make sure to have my carpets cleaned every so many months! Thanks guys!
