History
Established in 2010.
In 2003, Sandi Russi founded W.I.S.H. (Waldorf-inspired Sacramento Homeschoolers). For many years, she held the vision of creating a one-day-a-week program of specialty classes for those interested in a Waldorf-inspired approach to home education. Over the years, Sandi also studied other approaches to education including Charlotte Mason, Classical and Unschooling or child-led learning. She began to notice a common thread in all of these approaches which she calls «wholistic.»
In the fall of 2009, she realized the time was ripe for creating the small, one-day-a-week program and the first classes were held in early 2010. Since then, the program has grown, adding a second day of classes Spring 2015 and a new, Davis location in Fall 2015.

Business Owner
Sandi Russi is the founder of WLR. When her youngest son was about four years old, she discovered the path of home education and, perhaps like you, tentatively put that first toe in the water. In 2003, Sandi founded W.I.S.H. — Waldorf-Inspired Sacramento Homeschoolers which has grown and evolved over the years.
Although Sandi’s youngest son has since graduated from high school, she remains involved with the local homeschooling community through WISH and WLR. She teaches Classical Writing, Grammar Through Story & Art and Joyful Rhythm, Movement & Speech. In addition, Sandi is a certified Ananda Yoga Instructor and has been teaching for over 15 years.
