Clear View Optometry

We have been coming to ClearView for several years, since they were in their old location at Victoria Gardens. They have a great selection on glasses and sunglasses and the male doctor there is very thorough and nice. Last year, I bought my husband some Maui Jim sunglasses as a gift, which were a bit of a splurge for us. When he got them, he told the doctor that he couldn’t see out of them that well. The doctor, who is no longer with them, said that polarized lenses just take some getting used to and to just continue to use them. The next time we came in to get glasses for me, we told the girl at the counter of the issues he was having and she said that his prescription was not that far off what he had before and that the glasses were right.
My husband recently had his annual exam with the male doctor who told him that the old prescription was WAY off and that the doctor that saw him prior was no longer there, which we deduced that she was gone because of these sort of mistakes or it really wouldn’t have been worth mentioning. Because of this conversation, we felt like a mistake had been made that should be corrected. The office manager just called me back to let me know that, since it had been over a year, there would be no concession made for their mistake. She said that none of our complaints were documented, that they all just sounded like «casual conversations». I told her that we brought up the issues he had with the glasses with their staff on several separate occasions and felt that it was not our fault that the complaints were not documented. The only reason we decided to ask for the lenses to be replaced was the conversation my husband had with the doctor this year during his annual eye exam. I might add that those glasses were not the only ones that were purchased with the incorrect prescription, but we were only asking for these (quite expensive) lenses to be replaced. The office manager chose to hold her ground instead of making it right when the fix to make a long term and loyal customer happy would probably be pretty insignificant to their bottom line. My family purchases at least 4 new pairs of glasses a year plus contacts, but I guess we will be taking our business elsewhere. It’s really unfortunate…

Dr. Silverman is awesome. Best eye Dr. I’ve ever had. Prescription right on. Laura is Great with eye glass selection. I refer all my family and friends.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years now and I’ve never had an issue. The doctors are so helpful and try and fit everything to your needs. The receptionists are so amazing with customer service. I will definitely continue to fill my prescriptions here.

Ive been coming here for a few years now. Im always able to get last minute appointments with them. Everyone is friendly including the doctor. They have a Huge selection of frames. The office is really clean too. Keep up the good work Clearview.

We LOVE Clear View! We have been going there for glasses for the past 6 years. We’ve had a couple situations where glasses were broken or they didn’t fit as expected. They ALWAYS took care of it. They have been especially speedy and helpful with my 10 year old who has worn glasses since he was 4. No problem is too big for them. THANK YOU Clear View for taking care of my kids’ vision needs!

So this girl Emily answered the phone asked her if I could order another set of contact lenses. She took my info and pulled up my chart and informed me that my prescription had expired and ‘due to HIPPA it’s against the law to fill an expired prescription. «I work in the medical field and I laughed and said what does HIPPA have to do with it .
HIPAA IS A PRIVACY ACT. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) is United States legislation that provides data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding medical information.
After I informed her what HIPAA was upset .
The lady Emily said ‘yeah well regardless what HIPAA means we don’t fill expired prescriptions .»

This business was previously located at Victoria Gardens. I had passed through that location a few times, but I didn’t find any frames that I liked.
I was looking for a new pair of glasses at LensCraters, but everything they had looked too big to fit my face. So I paid over $ 300 just to replace the lenses in my old glasses. The next day I went to Clear View Optometry to see what they had. Their selection is so much bigger than I remember at Victoria Gardens. The selection of sizes for people with different shapes and size faces was huge. I actually had trouble narrowing down what I wanted. The sales staff was very nice, and gave me input on the pair they think looked better, which turned out to be a less expensive pair than another pair that I was contemplating. I bought a full second pair of glasses and I spent the same as I did just to replace the lenses at Lens Crafters! Same quality of lenses, antiglare, scratch resistant, light weight… I wish I would have gone to Clear View first. And, they did it so fast…

Good selection on eyewear. People are pleasant.
The staff lack attention to detail, and sometimes common sense. There may have been 2 people that I found that were more capable. The doctor made a recommendation, but seemed to lack experience for what she recommended. I had a terrible experience… been wearing glasses and contacts for almost 20 years, and this is probably the worst experience ever. My prescription it’s wrong too. They even over charged me, and I honestly had such a bad experience that I don’t care to go back for my balance…
They are adequate for the basic eye exam, glasses, and contacts if you are not looking for people to pay attention/​decent customer service. If you need anything more than basic or common sense, I would not recommend.
I suppose I souls have Unilocaled this place before walking in. Unilocalers know better than to settle for 3.5 stars…

Everyone at the office was very nice and helpful. Dr. Ho was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with making sure I had the right prescription for my glasses. I made the appointment two hours before the scheduled time and was in and out of there very quickly.
Side note: I went to a different eye doctor a few months ago and had been getting many headaches. Decided to go somewhere else and found out the doctor gave me the wrong prescription (too strong). Thankfully, Dr. Ho did a great job to find me the right prescription.

I have been a customer for years and have never had any problems that were not handled promptly and professionally. Recently, my prescription sunglasses were delayed but I received numerous updates and apologies (probably more than I needed!)
My 5 year old daughter sadly inherited my poor vision and had to go in for an exam. She was very apprehensive, but Dr. Zhu made it into a fun experience. I highly recommend this business!

Never had a optometrist office to be so unprofessional! To keep a patient, try a little more customer service! Never will go to them again.

These people are unethical, and I would not recommend going here. I got an eye exam for contact lenses and glasses from here, but did not purchase contacts or frames. When they wrote my prescription, they intentionally did not measure the Pupillary Distance (PD). So when it came time to buying my frames online, I did not have the number. When I returned to the place, the lady said «we usually don’t measure that.» I let her know that when one gets a prescription, one expects that all measurements should be filled in and nothing should be blank on the prescription. She said «you can take a ruler and measure it yourself.» I got quite upset and told her this was very unprofessional. Then she walks over to her electronic PD measuring device, and puts it in front of my eyes in a hasty manner and says «stand still.» Two seconds later, the device gives the measurement. Now, I’m looking at my rx and the glasses one is for 2yrs, but the contact lens one is only for 1 yr. I know optometrists are struggling to make a dollar these days, but you expect a certain level of service and this place falls way shot. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Greatest place ever, extremely friendly, fast, great quality, you’d be crazy to go anywhere else !!! Very fast service got my eye wear in 4 days !!

Horrible place. They called me to make my eye test and made me pay 43 $ for a contact fitting only to know that I can’t use my insurance. I came back today when I became eligible in my insurance only to know that I can’t use my prescription as its old now. I paid copay and 43 $ for nothing!!!
They r rude and disrespectful

Made an appointment on ²⁄₁₄ for my daughter and exam was great no complaints there. Location is big and large selection of frames. Review is based on the timelessness of receiving my daughters glasses. On ²⁄₁₄ we were told that her glasses will be here on 2/​20, but will try and rush it. Well ²⁄₂₀ comes around and I haven’t heard from them so I decided to call and was told they are not in and they should be in on Tuesday ²⁄₂₄ (which is tomorrow) let’s see what happens. I informed them that I was promised Friday what happened? The response was something about shipping and they (the lab) doesn’t ship on weekends!!! I think if the optometrist office opens 7 days a week then the lab should be able to ship because they receive business on the weekend and people need their glasses. I will think twice before returning.

Came here for the first time looking for a good optometrist in the area. Had the first appointment of the day and the staff was quick and very helpful. They have a HUGE selection of glasses with lots of the top brands — Oliver peoples, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Fendi, etc. etc.
The optometrist herself was great. Was very thorough with her examination and made sure that I was comfortable with the new prescription she was giving me.
The people in the front were very helpful when it came to choosing glasses. I went with a combo of glasses and contacts and they helped me to make sure that I got the most out of my insurance. The GREAT part about the whole experience was that my glasses were ready within the hour and I was able to take them home the same day. My contacts came a day later.
Great, fast, friendly service. Will definitely be coming here for my annual checkups!

Way better than lens crafter! Ppl are nicer, better variety of glasses, and much quicker service! Ben goin here for the past 4
