Crown Pool & Spa Construction

We hired Crown Pool & Spa Construction to remodel our pool in the Spring of 2015. Paul, the project supervisor, was very professional. From the beginning of the project to the end of it, communication was excellent, and we were able to make a few changes to our pool design without any hassle. I highly recommend Crown Pool & Spa in the event you plan to remodel or even build a pool.

Called this company 3 times and left voicemails based on the reviews, not one call back. I guess they didn’t have time to build a 75k new pool.

This one star review is being generous! This company may have been great in the past, but beware of them taking your money and not finishing the job! Don’t pay upfront because they’ll take your money and go work on another project. I’ve now paid $ 45,000 for them to only do rebar and now have to look for a new pool company to finish the job. I want to warn everyone of this because it’s not right!

I don’t know where to begin… I was promised many different timelines on our pool. First timeline was 45 days, next timeline was 2 months. Then I was promised it would be done before the holidays. Again the time came and went. 6 months and the pool was finally operational. Only to find out the pool had a major leak. Turns out one of the lighting conduits wasn’t finished. So they had to destroy the cement and finish it. Again adding delays. After that the rock waterfall is leaking. And for the final icing on the cake, I informed everyone I spoke to that I wanted a salt water pool. So they came and added the salt; however, they seem to have forgotten that you have to have a salt cell to make it work. When this was brought up they completely ignored all calls. I have since heard they are telling other customers I know that they are out of business. I am very displeased and wouldn’t recommend crown pool to anyone!

We saw the reviews on Unilocal and arranged an appointment/​quote for in ground pool. Oscar was the person I communicated with. I texted him an hour an a half before his appointment to confirm. No response. Then on the actual time of the appointment, he texted if we can reschedule. If they can’t keep an appointment or communicate with a client, to me it’s a reflection of their work ethic. I understand that circumstances arise when last minute changes occur, however communication is a key attribute when conducting business, especially with a purchase as big as a pool. We are serious pool buyers, and eliminated Crown pools and Spas from our list. If they can’t stay on top of their work load now, how much more when they build a pool? Based on my experience, I do not recommend this pool company.

Great service, answer all the questions I asked. Robert is the best. I will always used Crown.

Crown Pool and Spa Construction, with Robert and Ralph, has been and continues to be, the finest pool company with whom we have had the pleasure to work. Once again, yesterday, they arrived on time, did the job — PERFECTLY — heard us mention that we would have to call someone to look at a problem with a heater and, without being asked, found the problem and fixed it on the spot. Both of these young men are talented, efficient, polite, stay on task and clean up when finished. It is just such a pleasure to find a licensed company, following all the rules, and doing an excellent job. If you had a ten (10) star rating available, we would check that. If you have solar heating, don’t use anyone else. Robert and Ralph know what they are doing — and do it exceptionally well.

My experiences with Greg DeMichele at Crown Pool and Spa Construction Inc have been stellar. I can be a demanding customer and so I am frequently disappointed. Pretty much every time I call Greg I have an urgent issue (like a milky pool cuz I screwed something up the day before a big barbecue/​pool party and poured too much of the wrong stuff in it). Does your pool guy return calls left at 11:45pm? Mine does. Sometimes the fix is something I can do myself and can save a few bucks, Greg has recommended this and even talked me through the steps. NOBODY DOES THAT!
Other times he adjusts his schedule or adds evening hours to come and install or service my equipment. I always feel like a highly valued customer and he’s even refused to charge me from time to time because, «…it only took 15 minutes or so.»
WHO DOES THAT?! Nobody… but Greg. I would not recommend using anyone else… the service at Crown Pool and Spa Construction Inc deserves 15 stars! Best of all is Greg’s personality. Some people, you meet em, shake their hand and instantly wanna disinfect yourself because they just put out a bad vibe that makes you pull away from them. Met a lot of pool guys like that. Just icky and I wouldn’t trust em as far as I could throw them. I have surveillance cameras on my property and caught one of these dirty birds billing me for service calls he never made! A total scumbag. Greg is just the opposite… he’s one of those guys you feel you can instantly trust. Call it karma or honesty or whatever… there’s just something special about the guy that makes him very likable. He’s like Jesus with tattoos. If you need a pool expert that knows his stuff, won’t BS you and has the experience to resolve any problem… look no further. Crown is the king. And watch out for some of their South OC competitors, I swear a few of them have venom glands in their neck. So glad I found this company!!!

A+++ for Crown Pool and Spa Construction. After reading all these excellent reviews I called and spoke with Robert. Robert and Paul came out within 2 days and gave a estimate on site for a remodel. After several estimates they came in the lowest. Crown Pool and Spa Construction is a rare breed of contractors. They are not only a pool contractor but also a General Contractor. They are true professioanals. I’ve never seen a company where. the owners Robert and Ralph physically come and work. If they don’t they come by regularly and inspect the work. With these guys no need to get a second or third estimate. Wish I would of known. could of saved me the time and hassle of dealing with unprofessional contractors… 3 words to sum up Crown is Professional, reasonable, and superior.

We had an awesome experience with Crown Pools. We are very pleased with the quality of work performed. Robert was available at all times to answer our questions and the construction process was very smooth. We installed new equipment, coping, tile, plaster, and through every process Robert explained what was going on and when the next step will take place. Now since the remodel is complete he is still available for our questions and takes the time to work with us. We love our pool and very happy we chose Crown Pools to do the work. Great job!

After searching for numerous pool contractors I am especially glad that Crown Pool and Spa came to my attention. Robert was very quick, efficient and through in coming out to my house and giving me an estimate for my needs. Since then I have been working closely with Robert in trying to figure out the best solution for my pool. He has been so professional and very responsive which portrays the company excellence in customer service. Cant wait to get the work done.

A+ for Crown Pools. We met Robert when we noticed our electric bill had gone up more than we had expected after just installing an in ground swimming pool. The pool has been in for about 5 months and our bill went up more than $ 100 per month. Robert came recommended from another contractor so we asked him to look at our variable speed pump. He adjusted for me and now our bill is only up about $ 30-​$ 40 per month and he adjusted it for free with no strings attached.
Robert also installed a salt chlorinator for us. We didn’t get one when we installed the pool and kind of regretted it from the beginning so when we asked him about it he was extremely helpful and was able to come install one that weekend. He made sure everything was working perfectly before he left and we have had no problems in the month it has been installed. He even called to check up.
All around good experience with Crown Pools and Robert in particular. I don’t have pool service (still thinking I can maintain it myself) but if I decide to get service I would definitely go with Robert.

Crown pools is awesome. I looked for several bids to re plaster my pool. Robert’s bid came in tied for the lowest. His excitement about his work is what made me choose Crown. During the construction he sent pictures of the work being done, asked questions if they was a decision to be made. He came back every day for a week to make sure the pool was looking good. Ralph drove to LA 2 times for me to pick up keys in-​order to get started. Sorry Ralph for the Stray dog that almost bit you.

Ralph and Robert came by today to install the latest variable speed Pentair pump at my residence. These guys were not only professional they did a fantastic job on the install and programed it for me. If you need any pool work done do not hesitate to give these guys a call.
