Canine Country

This was the second time to take Sadie, a miniature poodle, to be groomed. What a wonderful trim she received. The people are friendly and the groomer came out to great Sadie. We discussed how she should be trimmed and when I returned, how beautiful she looked.
In the past, Sadie would get quite anxious going to the groomer, it was sad to see her so reluctant to go into the shop. Although this was but the second trip to Canine Country, she seemed fine. When finished, she seemed fine with her tail up. The test will be the third trip. Will she want to go in? My feeling is all will be ok the third time, which will speak good things about how she was treated.
Because of how well she was trimmed, I can highly recommend Canine Country as a place for poodles.

All the ladies were absolutely FANTASTIC today!
We brought our male German Shepherd Dog and female Pit Bull. Everyone was extremely welcoming and knowledgable on how they were to be groomed. They asked us if there was anything we should know about them. We only said their energy level because they’re only 2 – 3 years old. They called us 20 minutes ahead of when they were done drying.
We paid for the full bath and groom (no haircuts). Our dogs looked and smelled amazing. They were so excited and were told they behaved well.
The ladies explained the full grooming process with our two in detail. We were impressed, as it was our first time getting our dogs groomed.
We already have our next grooming appointment booked! Keep up the great work ladies. We can’t wait to see you next month!!!

Why are there not 10 stars, i give dog wash 10 stars!!! They are incredible!
I called and thought they accepted walk ins for full service, and they were booked for the day. I was just going to wait until next weekend but the wonderful lady on the phone said to stop by and they would see.
So we made it withing 15 mins of calling and they took snoopy in.
I love the atmosphere, the staff is incredible! So informative, helpful, sweet. the customer service is the best of the best.
I cant wait to go back of course i shall make an appointment next time hehe
But yes, great prices, wonderful service, and my pup came out smelling fresh and clean and happy!!! The best for my pup!
I recommend this place for all dog parents!!!

Huge tubs for even the largest dogs. No more bending over to scrub them. No more rinsing them outside with barely above freezing water. It is warm and the tubs are large enough to handle the biggest dogs. No hurting your back in a regular tub.

This is by far the best groomer I have ever taken my dog to! The staff and the owner are absolutely fantastic! My dog looks great every time and I always recommend this place to all my family and friends!

I recently took my very nervous shitzu to Canine Country to be groomed. I was very impressed with not only their setup but also with the fact that they spent sometime with my dog to help him feel more comfortable. He was in & out of there in 1 ½ hours which I know also helped to eliminate his stress. His cut was perfect & it was probably the 1^st time he didn’t have any nicks on his legs. They will definitely by my groomer from now on.

My Sadie loves Canine Country! We used to have to carry her into other grooming salons but she gets excited here and walks in willingly. No cuts or razor burns and they don’t make her sit in a kennel all day like other places. This is the only place I will have my pets groomed.

We have a rescued retriever mix that had a rough life before we brought him home and although he’s come a long way, he still gets a little scared when I leave him. EVERYONE at Canine Country is so gentle and loving with him and take their time. If you need a groomer, or even a place to wash your pup yourself, this is your spot! Buddy gives them a 5 paw rating too!

I have gone to this place a couple of times for the «works package» for my dog. I noticed previously that they forgot to clean my dogs ears that were very dirty. I called and let them know. The owner blamed it on a new employee and assured me it would never happen again. I figured I would give them another try today. I picked up my dog and thought… there is no way they would mess up again. Surprise! Same ear again! Ridiculous! Go somewhere else.

Canine Country met their match yesterday with our 13 year old Afghan Hound. She came out looking gorgeous, and quite pleased with herself. More importantly, they took the time she needed to get through it comfortably. She will be going back regularly. Thanks so much for the extra care and concern senior dogs need!

Easy peasy place to wash your pooch when you don’t feel like lugging him/​her into the shower. Prices are reasonable and the place is clean.

I took my 16+ lb terrier mix Macy here for a grooming. Front desk was friendly and got me scheduled within the day (which is always helpful). I dropped Macy off at 10 am and was called at noon that she’d be ready in 20 minutes (as promised). They call 20 minutes from your pet being completed so they don’t have a lot of cage time– which I appreciate and so does Macy! Kim, the groomer came out to meet me and told me how sweet Macy was and that she enjoyed grooming her. It’s always nice to hear that your kid was good :) I usually pay between $ 45 – 50 and this was $ 55 + I tipped, so it was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I’d return for the outstanding service.

We took our 11-​year-​old Lucy to get cleaned up after spending six weeks at grandma’s house in the country. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. They treated Lucy like a VIP. She looked amazing. I very much appreciate great service and care. Thank you.

My lovely ill-​behaved beagle is a handful to put it lightly. I have taken him many other places to get his nails trimmed and this is the ONLY place that has the patience and touch to be able to handle him.
It is very clean here, I have given the dog a bath many times and they are so helpful and make it easy. This time I am just scheduling him an appointment for a full bath, this will probably be easier, well on me at least.

I was a repeat customer until today. Today when I walked in to get my dogs nails trimmed the place was completely empty… completely empty… so I asked if they had time to cut my two small dogs nails to which the guy replied maybe, let me check. He walks to the back of the store and asks the person in the back if she wanted to do a nail trim, to which she replies hell no (I guessed they figured they were out if earshot but they weren’t). So he comes back to the front spouting some nonsense about how they’re completely booked for the day and only do nail trims 3 times a day in 30 minute windows… yada, yada, yada… Long story short it was very unprofessional and I will be taking my business elsewhere. Service here has declined lately.

They do a great job here and their prices are very reasonable as they price based on the dog itself and not a generalization of the breed. We’ve used both their self-​serve wash and their professional grooming services and were pleased with both.
GROOMING: For the most part we groom our dogs at home because we are «those» kind of people. However our big dog was getting into what we lovingly called her «hobo dog look» and we weren’t comfortable giving her a cut at home. I don’t want my baby girl to look all cheesy! I called other groomers and was told they wanted to charge me close to $ 100 to get her groomed because she is part Newfoundland. She is a mutt, though, and even though she is a Newfie, her coat isn’t full Newf. When I called Canine Country they told me it would be easier if they could see her first because that’s how they price. Fair enough. We decided to take her in for a self-​wash and have them evaluate her while we were there.
Just as I thought, because her coat more closely resembles a retriever (she’s part flat-​coated), they said it would be about $ 60 for a bath and cut. SOLD. We made the appointment for a month out and since the price was so reasonable, I also made an appointment for our little dog and gave them both the special spa add-​on packages. Pamper day for our girls!
As we got closer to their appointment date I had a last minute event I couldn’t get out of, so I called a couple days in advance to see about changing the appointment and they were more than accommodating and found a spot for my girls a week later than previously anticipated. They do book up frequently, so plan well in advance.
On appointment day we were checked in quickly and then the groomer came out from the back and asked us questions and listened to what we had to say about what we wanted done with the girls. We aren’t super crazy dog-​parents so mostly what we wanted to talk to her about were little things like «she gets grumpy when you touch her front paws» kind of stuff. Just to give them a heads-​up. The groomer said she was going to clip the big dog’s nails first because of that issue and so that our girl would forget she was mad about it before anything else happened. So it does help the groomer if you tell them stuff that could make a difference in how they manage your dog.
We got a phone call 20 minutes before the girls were finished letting us know they were almost done and we could head on over to get them. Yay! When we got there, our dogs were so happy and excited to be hanging with their new friends. The groomer said she just let our little one wander around the back while she groomed the big one and I very much appreciate that she didn’t lock her in a kennel when she didn’t need to. Granted, she went and laid down in the kennel by herself after a while, but still. Free will!
We were a bit shocked to see our big girl with her «0» cut because we’d never seen her shaved before. She looked so silly! The groomer came out to play with the girls one last time and to tell us a little about what she did and how they reacted, etc. It was very much appreciated and our girls loved her (and everyone there).
After all the excitement, our girls slept away the rest of the day but they looked fabulous doing it. After a few days our big girl’s hair started to blend and she looked less silly and more styled. However, side note, she also got mad at us on the second day. After the initial excitement of her new friends at the salon and then her exhaustion on the first day, she woke up on Day Two pissed at us for cutting her hair. She moped around the house for two days until finally giving up and loving us again. OMG dogs.
SELF-​WASH: The tubs are great and having the blow dryers and brushes is a major plus. The ONLY thing I missed was a bottle of conditioner or cream rinse. Our girls have sensitive skin and need that after a bath or they get itchy. Not a huge deal, we can just bring our own next time, but since I’d been given it at other self-​wash locations I was expecting to find it here too. The multiple tubs makes it so convenient for us to wash both our dogs at the same time instead of having to wash one while trying to control the other. And how amazing is their summer deal, amirite?! $ 10 self-​wash all summer for any size dog! Seriously. Get in there and take advantage of that.

Been taking our doggie Blackie here for the past 2 years. We usually bathed our other doggies at home but Blackie is just a giant furball! Blackie is a 95lb hairy chow chow and needs special grooming. The staff at Canine Country are super friendly to my sweet Blackie. When we bring him in they let him sniff around so he can get used to the place. We usually get him bathed, haircut and nails clipped for a very reasonable price. When he leaves he looks just like a bear cub! If you want great service and a very clean pet then bring your doggie here.
