Laschi Hairstylists

First, never go to Stephanie in the hair salon, or at least don’t with high expectations. She obviously does not like to work too hard and just doesn’t care. She killed my hair. She RIPPED at it while wet and I had more breakage than ever in my life, rushed through me… I wanted to cry. It was that bad. I trusted her though and figured it would be fine, but it wasn’t.
She was sloppy; bleach and dye got on me on the apron/​smock a lot more than I think it should have, and minutes after I was driving home I felt a tickle in my ear… rubbed my finger in my ear to relieve the tickle and discovered there was a blob of hair dye in my ear, all over the inside of my ear.
How could she miss this? No «Oh, you’ve got a little dye in your ear, here’s a towel» Couldn’t do that…
Joelle is really nice, takes her time, listens to what you want, is gentle. I admit I do not remember the 3^rd girl I went to but she was very similar, also easy to talk to. I notice around me while in there everyone is generally very friendly. I have sat at the dryers and other girls working there have made very friendly small-​talk with me.
The spray tanning is FANTASTIC. Mary is super nice and does a great job.
I have gone several times for special events.
I have wanted to avoid tan lines on my top half so I opted to go topless and she made me feel totally comfortable and not awkward at all. She’s great and super super nice.
Also I forgot to mention– they use St. Tropez spray tan and it looks incredibly real.

Take my advice, go see Francesca. She is simply amazing. She’s young, hip and sooo nice. She has cut my daughters hair, my hair and now my mothers. She has given us each a stylish and age appropriate style. You will leave with an amazing cut, a fresh style and the tools and education that you need to remake your look on your own. WE LOVE Francesca!!!
The salon is bustling and upbeat. The staff is friendly and courteous and parking is a breeze. What’s not to love???

I have been going to Lashi Hairstylists for over 5 years and have had Kim C. who is great when it comes to styling my hair and highlighting my hair. I always leave Lashi’s very happy. I also have my brows done by Mary and sometimes Kristen who not only do a great job but they are very personable.

I don’t know about the hair salon, but I come here to get my eyebrows done. Kristen does an excellent job and I have fun chatting with her. In the times I’ve come for a spray tan, Mary has been very good too.
I definitely recommend this place for spa services :)

I go here to get my eyebrows done. It’s only the second place that I’ve ever become a ‘regular’ at for my eyebrows! The location is convenient for me, but in addition to that, the spa room is quiet, calm and clean. They do a consistently excellent job shaping my brows! They also don’t charge a ridiculous amount, which is key.
I am very pleased with the service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and price of this spa, and I plan to stay a regular here as long as I’m working in Reading!

I went to Laschi’s as a kid and then for some reason switched to another hair salon for a few years. I went back a while ago, and it has been overall OK. I felt like my stylist listened to me, but also when I told her to give me suggestions or feedback on my ideas, she didn’t hesitate to do so. I left with the best haircut I have ever had, and didn’t spend the afternoon anxiously looking in the mirror to try and get used to it or confirm that it was what I wanted. Last time I went I felt like she hadn’t made my bangs long enough, and I called the salon to see what their schedule looked like the next day and my stylist told me to come right back and she would do what I wanted. I do agree that it does depend on the stylist, however, because obviously this is my experience with one woman, and I have heard of other negative experiences with other stylists, and yes, some of them had been at Laschi’s. I like consistency, so I will continue to go to Laschi’s and see if the service continues to work for me. I would have hated to pay for a rather expensive haircut that I didn’t love, and I have had it happen before, so I guess in the end it is a judgement call.

The experience seems to depend quite a bit on the stylist. The stylist who did my hair for my sister’s wedding was really good, though perhaps not as outgoing as some of the others. There were a couple of them that were really snotty. Some of the other girls got their make-​up done and I wasn’t that impressed. For $ 75 – 100, I’d expect a much better job. The woman who did my sister’s make-​up threw a tantrum that my sister (the bride) was still having her hair done and made a big stink about how she wasn’t going to wait around for her.
