History

Established in 1901.

Standard Key & Lock is still located on N9th St in Reading, PA. Standard offers locksmith services both in their shop and at the customers location. Experience Is Key: Since we were established in 1901, our business has learned that a solid reputation is the key to success. Today, our current owners, Kenneth Steiner Jr. CML and Sharon Steiner, who purchased the business in 1982, continue to uphold this reputation by providing the highest standards of service excellence.

Business Owner

Ken graduated from Fleetwood High School and served in the Navy for 7 years. Sharon graduated from Conestoga Valley High School. They were married in August of 1981 and purchased Standard in May of 1982. Ken recieved his Master Locksmith cerification from ALOA (Associated Locksmiths of America) and has served as President of the Keystone chapter of AOLA and Central Pennsylvania Locksmith Association.
