The downstairs lounge gets packed on weekends but the drink menu is the best around. They have so many martinis to choose from and they are all excellent. The only downside is the pricey menu :(

Love this spot for an intimate setting. Sitting at the bar or on the couches for date night or girls night out. Martini list is amazing and have loved every drink I’ve ever ordered. They are doing it right! Stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta are perfect pickies.

Love the food, good portions. House wine was bit expensive for a glass.
But the biggest problem is the outside over the door light fixture was broken. When I mention it, the hostess replied, it been broken. Then fix it, I walked right by the front door.

What a great place! My boyfriend and I ventured to reading from New Hampshire tonight for our three year anniversary. We heard great things from our friends and we were not disappointed. The martini selection was fabulous, we loved the taste and the decorative rims! Our entrees were flavorful, and a good size. The raviolis tasted homemade, and the bone in ribeye was an impressive plate. Luis our sever made the trip even more worth it. He was very professional and also personal! We will be back!

I can’t write any review on the quality of the food, as we were not able to dine there. Drinks were good. On a not so busy night, it may have a decent dining area.
We made reservations, entire party arrived at same time, however a few of us had parking issues, but we were all there EARLY. When we went to the hostess, she said «entire party needs to be sat at same time», while we waited for the 3 people who were parking out front, they sat a party at our «reserved» table. When we all walked in together. ON TIME, we were told people were sat at our table because our entire party was not present. So, we were promised a 15min wait. without much of a fuss, we went to the jammed, uncomfortable bar area & had a couple of drinks. We were completely in the way of waiters, waitresses & people going in & out of the restrooms. After 15 minutes, we went to the hostess downstairs & she looks over at the table that was originally reserved for our 8 person party & said «well, it doesn’t look like they ordered yet, so obviously it’s going to be more than 15 minutes» (which they could have just said from the start, but… ok?) We kept moving around, very small area. We gathered near hostess area, watching smaller parties being sat before us & the girl told us to move out of the way of the stairs. No apologies, no explanations… just straight up rude. Needless to say, we left & never returned. I even promised the rude girl i’d give a Unilocal review & she said «please do».

This place is a little five star gem in Reading Center! Great Filet! Great Sea Bass. Yummy Pasta. Friendly staff. Huge Martini menu. Great Parking.

We went here for drinks based upon other reviews and wish we hadn’t bothered. The martini was quite flavorful and the bartender served it with a smile and nice flair. The wine was not good at all and we left over 80% of the glass. The bartender apologized after I mentioned it as we were leaving. As he was responsible for serving us, checking on us at least once would have been appreciated. The restaurant supports local organizations and the staff was smiling, so they earned their second star for that. I don’t plan to return.

I have eaten and drank here more times than I can remember. I’ve tried the entire menu — I have no complaints. I literally have never had a bad experience here. If the menu appeals to you and you like a good martini, just go, you will not be disappointed.

Just had dinner at Venetian Moon. Our first impression was Wayne greeting us as we walked in. He was welcoming and friendly. When we told him it was, our first time at the restaurant, he showed us around. The upstairs was lively and looked inviting. Downstairs was a little more quiet and subdued. We decided to, eat downstairs. Our waiter Michael was attentive, informative and very personable. I had the voodoo martini and It was perfect! My husband had a vodka gimlet. Great drinks! Dinner was perfect also. I had the eggplant parmesan with the fussili pasta. The red sauce was delicious. My husband had the fussili Ultimo and he is still raving about it. All and all a great night. We can’t wait to come back with friends and try The many options on the menu. I recommend Venetian Moon for the service. Food, drinks and atmosphere.

Place has YET to disappoint me. The food, atmosphere, and the bartender upstairs «Paul» is the best… VERY PERSONABLE!!! Such a nice guy… and incredible bartender. Louis (One of the waiters) is the best also. One of my Favorite Places.

Loved it here! Between the décor and the ambiance to the service, drinks and food… Everything was pretty much top notch!!!

I have eaten at the Venetian Moon numerous times. The combination of the food, drinks and atmosphere is a restaurant trifecta.
Definitely worth the night out! If you like fish try the Chilean Sea Bass, beef try the Brontosaurus Rib-​Eye both my favorites.
Great selection of martinis… not to be missed!

I was there last Saturday night with 5 others for a birthday dinner. They wouldn’t take a reservation so we had to wait about an hour. The place was packed but the company was good so it didn’t matter. This was my first time but others that were with me had been there many times before. Once we sat, our server Luis took amazing care of us. He had many great suggestions about the food and cocktails. He let us order at our own pace and we sat, ate, drank and enjoyed the night. Each of us got something different. I had the Veal Marsala and the homemade pasta was delicious. I brought a pie and Luis sang Happy Birthday in Portugese. I would totally go back and would hope Luis could serve us again. It was a great night!

This will soon become a usual for us. Went here the other night for a spontaneous dinner planned by my date. This time, we got seated in the downstairs by some drums that my date banged on. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were better than what we usually had. My date got some type of alfredo with fettuccine. And I got the chicken saltimboca with linguine. My date finished his, and I had leftovers for the next day. Great service. Coming back soon!

This is one of my favorite places for girls night dinner and drinks. The martinis really are delicious and the menu has every option from chocolate to fruity and everything in between. The service though is wildly inconsistent — sorry to interrupt but we’re here to dine. I’ll admit that they are often very busy but friendly acknowledgment goes a long way. The food and drink are what keep us coming back time and time again.

The food here is excellent and the bartender (Paul) is one of the best I have ever met. We love the small plates and usually split a couple of them.
Décor could use some updating, but that doesn’t take away from the menu, service, or the food. We are always seated and served fast.
We try to come once a week now that we know about them. Try the gnocchi. It’s beautiful!

Outstanding food, great portions, biggest martini selection I’ve ever seen. Downstairs bar seems like a happening place. If you like Jack Daniels give the Jacks Elixir a try.
(Jack Daniels Honey & Jack Daniels regular with a dash of lemon bitters) Very very good! Our whole party loved all the food, mainly Italian but I had baked haddock with scallops and shrimp and it was outstanding. The service was the only issue. Waitress and her assistant seemed a bit discombobulated, it took way too long to get just bread and she forgot we wanted 3 coffees after the meal, instead waiting 5 – 10 minutes and bringing us the check. Waitress was very friendly but needed to stay focused. But we will be back for sure as the food and drink was awesome. With a different waitress this might have gotten 5 stars.

Went here for the first time for a surprise birthday party last Friday. Cocktails were amazing (try the flirtini, $ 10.50) and tapas were delicious (mussels were on the small side but everything was delicious!)
A few flaws…
We had some cupcakes out on a side table for the birthday girl and a waitress walked by and ate one! Before they were even served to our party!
Also, it was rumored that this is a hot spot for «swingers», the tip off is «leave your keys on the bar»… so watch out for that!
Overall, great food and great drinks. Would go back again!

Absolutely love this place! We came in late one Saturday night for drinks and appetizers. The upstairs is average looking… dimly lit… your typical upscale bar feel. The downstairs on the other hand was so cool! It reminded me of places I’ve been to in the valley in SoCal. I got Jack’s Elixir, which is a Jack Daniels honey martini; it was delicious, sweet, & strong. My date got Well’s banana bread beer, which was really unique. It seemed like they had quite a few microbrews on the menu. For appetizers we got the Arancini and the Courgettes. The latter was really good, while the former was a little too salty and rich… I think of because of the vodka sauce.
This is definitely a «beautiful people» spot… Nice to know places where you can dress up without being at a club, restaurant or symphony.
