Apex was founded in 1991 with the concept of bringing high end networking, computer support and technology services to Redding, CA and the surrounding areas.
Initially focused on large corporate clients who were previously unable to get the level of technical engineering skillset that they required in the area, Apex eventually brought their brand of «Do it right, the first time, every time» to businesses of all size throughout the region and across California. Apex built a reputation for high quality service with the most trained and certified engineers anywhere, and above all for excellent customer service. That reputation has allowed Apex to grow into the largest and most respected IT services company in the regions they serve.

Scott Putnam is President and CEO of Apex. Scott has over 20 years experience in business consultation and in the design, implementation and administration of advanced technologies for a wide range of clients, from small business to large corporations. He has received the Virgil Covington Business Man of the Year Award from the Redding Chamber of Commerce, the Providence Internation Business Leader of the Year Award, the Redding Record Searchlight «20 under 40» award (selected as program Ambassador), and has received awards from the SMART Resource Center, Redding Rotary, and has received recognitions for his leadership from numerous congressional representives and local government leaders.
As President/CEO of Apex, he has twice accepted recognition as one of the top 100 most innovative IT providers in the world, and has maintained Microsoft Gold Partner status for over five years, in addition to advanced partnerships with companies such as CISCO, CITRIX, HP and Dell.
