This is out second stay here. The hosts very friendly, the location quiet with easy access to the river trail for a pleasant morning walk. The breakfasts are wonderful and the rooms pleasant. Nice to be welcome to walk in their garden. Which is arranged with little yet differing areas to sit. Wine provided in the early evening with simple snacks. Hosts may or may not be present. Things are just out for guests enjoyment. Small living seating area also available for guests use.

Great place! Amazing value. They had wine when we arrived and breakfast was very healthy. Nice quiet neighborhood, great for couples.

This is our third stay and we were here last only three months ago! With such comfy rooms and friendly hosts, why go elsewhere? It was like arriving at the home of a good friend or family to pull up, walk in and be handed a glass of wine. Tonight the balcony door is open and I can hear the little waterfall trickling in the yard below. Looking forward to having breakfast in the gazebo tomorrow morning after being the first to sleep in the new bed in our room tonight.

I love B&B’s! I was trying to convince my boss to stay at this place and I had not tried myself so it was a tough sale. The owners guaranteed that my boss would like it. After begging and pleading my boss gave in and we tried it! It was amazing!!! Very modern! Beautiful. Spotless. Oh! And my boss loves wine and to top it off the owners do too! Now whenever anyone from our department goes to Redding they stay here. I scored major points! Now the Senior VP only stays here! I guarantee you that you will absolutely love this place!

Staying at the Apples’ Riverhouse when I(we) ended up in Redding for the weekend was very much like suddenly remembering that I have casual friends in Redding, calling them up, and having them invite me to use their place as my own for the weekend. My friends would say, «Sure, stay here when you’re in town. Not a problem at all. We have a guest room, and a really nice backyard. Oh, you’re bringing your bicycle(s) too? That’s fine; we have a garage where you can keep them safe and dry.» What would probably happen next is that we’d avail ourselves of all of this hospitality: my friends would cook us eggs for breakfast, give us glasses of wine in the evening, and let us go about our business in between the breakfast and the wine. And then, not ready to say goodbye to the weekend yet, we would probably go off on a long hike and not come back to collect our bicycles until nigh dark. When we finally made it back, my friends would be worried about us and would have already called around to try to find out whether we were okay. All in all, quite nice. It’s good to have old friends in Redding.
