B&T Satellite

To commend B&T and Mr Doug Tooley specifically, Doug to the rescue as we (well one of us anyway) wanted to swap out a plain ol old fashion HD flat screen with the new/​improved ‘smart TV’ who knew there was such a thing! I was soon to learn, i aint smart enuf to operate a smart tv. so there, i said it. This exercise was met with expertise regarding equip & associated stuff. Doug proved to be the consumate professional I know him to be. Polite & courteous even as he sat on the floor sorting out the wires. We had this tv wall mounted and he even drilled a small hole in the wall to drop all the wires so there are no wires visible… most excellent. Highest recommendation for all your tv & i’net service needs

If I could give 10 stars I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to do so. Being new to the area I researched Dish vs cable before we moved. Unfortunately, I chose cable both because it was easy and because It was with the same company as the internet supplier.
The HD quality was very poor and the channel selection was very difficult to deal with (5 identical listings of duplicate channels). Not to mention the DVR controls are very clunky.
I stopped in to talk with Doug today to inquire about Dish and to express that my main concern about satellite TV is a clean installation. Doug assured me that I would be impressed and put my concerns to rest.
I signed up for a package at noon and I was enjoying Dish TV by 3PM the very same day. The installer was very courteous and very thorough. The install was great… far beyond what I had imagined. He was sure that I knew how to work both units and if I had any questions before he left.
If you are looking for a new TV supplier I recommend that you give Doug and B&T a try. You won’t be disappointed.

These guys are the BEST!!! If you are thinking of getting satellite in NorCal call these guys — They are very nice and local so you will get way better service than calling the corporate people. I worked with Doug (who is the owner) and I felt like I had a new friend when it was all said and done.
note: I have had friends that have used B&T in the past and on the strength of their recommendations I became their customer. So… this review is more like 5 peoples review — Good Peeps — Call them!

We have contacted this company twice now. The first time my husband was all ready to sign up, no issues or anything. The guy on the phone said he would call back to see if they would take his card. His card is through the state so he wasn’t sure. The guy never called back. Second time, just yesterday I called because I have a checking account and left a message. Stephanie called back but I missed the call because I was working. I called her back and she had no recollection of calling me or me calling her. I had to remind her that she had called back and she still said she didn’t remember calling. I then jogged her memory and she gave me this «too good to be true» deal. Something happened on the credit check and she said that I needed to call the 800 number (odd since they tell us not to) and ask to see what was going on. I called her back but she doesn’t answer her phone. She calls back today and once again, due to work constraints I didn’t answer. I called her back at 4:30 and she once again argued with me and flat out denied ever talking to me. I then had to re-​jog her memory and she was extremely short with me. She was no help and told me that there was nothing she could do for me until I got the issue cleared up and then told me that even if I did clear it up she wasn’t sure if they would even do the work. I think I will either stick with Charter or go to the competition and see if they would treat me better.

Called in to our local Satellite dealer trying to figure out how to reduce monthly costs. Not only did they help me achieve a lower bill they were very nice also. I have been a customer of theirs for 5 years and have never been disappointed.

There’s a HUGE difference when dealing with a local company like these guys. Real, local humans answer the phone when you call and take care of you all the way through, in contrast with calling the nationwide Dish number that puts you into some stupid automated thing just to decide what line to put your call into. Plus, I’ve found that I could actually have a chance at getting a better deal with B&T, plus they could schedule the install much sooner than the far away guys. This one is a no brainer. As they say, «Don’t call the 800 number!» The owner and management guys are rockstars that are a benefit to our community too. All over great company.

Wonderful customer service with honest people! B&T Satellite helped me with all my Dish needs. They go above and beyond each time I have a need. I would highly recommend them.

What a great place to call when you need quick service and TV hooked up asap! Nothing like calling the 800 number and sitting on hold and having to wait for a technician all day! Doug and his team get right back to you., quickly set it up and are ready to answer questions. Not a doubt in my mind, a call worthwhile. I wont use anyone else!

For Dish, home theatre, and tv mounting I call B&T Satellite. Doug has helped me move my dish network services twice in the last three years and I couldnt be happier with the service he provides. Its nice to have a local guy that serves Chico and all the north state. He also helped me in my latest move with my tv mounts at a reasonable price when I couldnt get any other companies do it a unless I bought added equipment or services.

Called about internet, they had all the answer to my questions and recommended me to a company that would handle all my internet needs

We went through B&T Satilite to upgrade to the Hopper and our experience couldn’t have been better. They have saved me so much money and the staff are so friendly. The installer came out and was very nice and showed me how to work the new box.
I will continue to refer all my friends to B&T and I will never call the 800 number again!

Best experience ever with a satellite television service provider. My installer was professional and courteous. He didn’t leave any mess, explained how to use my new equipment and made sure I had the number to call if any future problems came up. Definitely recommending using this local business for your Dish network needs. Don’t call the 800#, call 241‑3474 direct to get a good deal too! Additionally, they helped me get vacation ready with a receiver that I can take in our RV or use at our cabin in Lake Alamanor.

I am all about using the local guy for anything whether it’s eating at a restaurant or looking for a new service. B& T was no exception, I ran across Doug’s store when I was driving down Rhyolitte Drive and saw a huge kangaroo painting right across the front of his store (very hard to miss). Once I walked in I was greeted very courteously by Doug (owner). We cracked a few jokes here and there and soon enough we started chatting about what channels I enjoy to watch and if I was a sports enthusiast. Right away, Doug tried to get me the best deal possible and he even set me up with a Nice Pathway 2 (Portable Satellite) which I enjoy using when I go tailgating. I could tell he was all about customer service from the gecko, he was even able to install my service the next day which was a bonus since that was the only day of the week I was going to be home. Once at my home, Doug was very cautious as to where the Dish would sit, which I felt was very courteous considering I’m renting and I don’t want any major holes drilled on the roof. Overall, my experience was exceptional, I have referred friends and family to Doug and they have all felt the same.

Had them try and install Dish Network at our new place but because of issues with length of cables and such could not get strong enough signal. Tried a couple times to get it to work but gave up and decided to cancel till we move again. Got charged cancellation fee from dish even though there service was unusable. B&T was absolutely no help in working with me with dish to let them no of the install issue. Called several times to talk to owner and told he would call me back and never did.
More a complaint on Dish Network but this place could’ve done a lot more to remedy the situation. Won’t be using either in the future
