Pasta Pronto

I rarely give a 5 star review, but this one is very well deserved. Mom and I had lunch here today, Mom had a chicken salad, and I had Spaghetti and Meatballs, I was expecting mediocre food, but I must say, it couldn’t have been prepared any better. Service did not take that long, The servings were just the right size, and tasted great. I would have to say, the only way to improve this restaurant would to be change to full table service rather than ordering at the counter when you come in, and then having the meals served to the table. If you don’t go here for a meal you are doing yourself a disservice.

I ordered the seafood linguini. The pasta itself was very good. The price for the pasta is very reasonable! I ordered ahead for pick up and had to wait a little once I got there, but nothing I could complain about. I would definitely try it again the next time I have a hankering for pasta.

Although the food is alright, it is nothing extravagant. IL however I would not eat here again. The girl who took my order didn’t know what came with menu items. She had to look. The highchairs were disgusting and greasy. I could not feel comfortable with my baby sitting in it. The floor doesn’t look like it has had a good cleaning in months, as well as about everything from the knees down. The staff in the back were singing very loudly and one guy kept coming to the window and staring out. It was very awkward as I was the only one in the establishment and he came to the window about a dozen times. I ordered a plate and drink and it was a little over 11 $. In my opinion, olive garden is about the same for a cleaner environment, better service, and all around more comfortable atmosphere.

Checked this place out because it seemed highly rated on Unilocal.I wasn’t impressed. I got take out, so I can’t speak to the service, but I wasn’t impressed with the interior. Food was pretty bland, and the portions are fine, but the fact that they put them in HUGE containers makes it look like they skimped on the pasta. Salad was not bad and a good value. This place is pretty cheap… so, there’s that.
Oh, and that parking lot is terrible.
Will continue to seek a good Italian take out place in Redding.

Have been coming here for years trying to support a local business I will no longer. The evening of December 14 I called in to place an order a young girl answered the phone told me I needed to hold proceeded to leave me on hold for 10 minutes. Still interested in placing the order, I drove to Pasta Pronto. I walked in, still on hold. The young girl, the owner’s daughter was extremely rude and unprofessional when I let her know she had left me on hold for 10 or more minutes. I told her I was still interested in placing an order, as my family has supported her family’s business for numerous years. She rolled her eyes at me at which point I asked to speak with her father… Figuring as a business owner he might want to make some adjustments for the continued support and success of his family’s business. She again rolled her eyes at me and told me he was too busy to come from the back. There were only three tables occupied in the restaurant. I decided to cancel my order and leave. I will no support a business local or otherwise with terrible customer service.
Very disappointed and will not recommend to others.

The worst service ever. I ate there the staff was rude unprofessional and nasty. They prepare your food and they don’t prepare it correctly. To go orders are missing items.

Great place!!! Delicious fresh food. Lots to choose from, reasonable priced. We have never been disappointed coming here, would recommend!

The price is right for good fast food. Sometimes some really interesting specials (see photo) I get the Low carb Chicken Picatta and the Chicken Marsala often, and sometimes the pizza. All good! Also, close to where I work… so handy.

I really should give this place five stars. The pasta and pizza is delicious. For some reason I love their salad more than any place else.
I can order over the phone and pickup, for this working mom, it makes it all the better.
I guess I don’t have any cons.

I will not give it 5 stars so I do not raise expectations too much. I think this place has very flavorful pasta dishes ala that place with olive in the name. But I think this place has better tasting pasta — with more flavor and the prices are more reasonable. This is definitely more fast casual than casual.
I also have read that the staff is not friendly– this has never been the case when I have been there. I think they try hard to make sure that you are taken care of but there is definitely not a «wait staff».
I really like the pasta carbonara and the fettuccini. If you are looking for pasta with a no frills atmosphere– this is your spot.

After recent visits to this place, I have to updated my 5 star review to 1. The food is still delicious, but it’s not worth being treated badly by the rude employees. They make me feel like I’m bothering them, by giving them my business. And they have also recently raised the prices of everything, making it no longer affordable. Every time I give this place another chance, I regret it.

Awesome place to eat if you love bland elementary style cafeteria food, the salad was probably the only thing not pulled from the freezer out of a box, shame on all you folks leaving anything more than 2 stars for this mediocre excuse of a food establishment.

Great tasting pastas and salads! All prepared fast for dining in or pick up. Very reasonable! The customer service is also fantastic. Mindy at the counter is so friendly. We often call in orders for multiple people at work. and she actually remembers what we’ve ordered in the past. The owner is awesome, the food is excellent, the customer service is friendly and the convenience make Pasta Pronto an excellent choice.

Awesome salads, awesome pasta. Their prices are great and I love everything I get here. They have good hours, too and are a great alternative to fast food. I will always recommend this place.

I was surprised at how fast they cooked my chicken Alfredo! It tasted amazing!!! I went there on my lunch break. It was worth every penny!

after attempting to get a table at red lobster on a Saturday night we ended up finding this place on Unilocal.10 reviews made me weary and even more so when the restaurant was empty.
surprise surprise that the service and food was on point! the place was such a good bang for your buck. we spent $ 24 total on 3 items:
creamy pesto fettuccine with mushrooms
carbonara linguine with mushrooms
Canadian bacon and pineapple personal pizza
our server have us extra bread and was very attentive. as I ate the food I was glad I came. the pasta was cooked perfectly and evenly tossed in sauce. the pizza was delicious and crisp, and it cost us under 1 entrée at red lobster for 3 entrees.
I’m surprised this place isn’t more popular. it is cheap, fast and would be a good place to go for families and anyone craving a comforting pasta dish at a good price.

We visit Redding all the time but have never been to Pasta Pronto. It was so good everything was fantastic!
We had the summer salad, berry salad, spaghetti with meat sauce and mushroom ravioli so good!

Highly recommend a Shrimp & chicken Carbonara. Very delicious! Best price! And nice service!

Food is quick but when ordered for take out. They gave us hardly any pasta and no forks or knives. Service inside was just as bad, having to wait while someone cleans up the counter area before being helped. Overall head there if u have extra time and money. Food is good just not enough for the money.
